Pastures Anew (Wolf/Lycan Characters)

Post by Zigan on Sun 11 Dec 2016, 21:34

He had needed to distance himself the lives he had lived, they had literally killed him and even in his rebirth they continued to do so. His mind and body had been so corrupted by past sins and past pains they had left his soul wide open for manipulation and corruption. Being an Beta then an Alpha, having his family and twin daughters had been his pride and his heart and it had all been taken away in one fell swoop the second Abaddon had sensed the cracks hidden well beneath the surface.
The demon had destroyed him, forcing his best friend to step in and take his life. Eternal death would have been a kinder fate for him yet the Archangel Michael had thought otherwise, plucking his soul from the brink the hell gate's opening to receive him.

Returned to a new stronger body Michael corrupted Zigan in the same way Abaddon had done so before yet with the intention of reigning down a supposedly forceful good. The battle that ensued was one that had crippled the once fierce man, demons and angels rages within him and around him, taking everything from him until nothing remained.

He had hurt people he loved and he had turned from others confusion and betrayal all he knew for so long that he felt unable to be around anyone for the fear they would attack him or that he would kill them.
He had fled his home, left those he loved and in doing so he had left relationships in tatters, shredded beyond what he had thought he could recover.  Kostas was no longer his home, The Kumari Wolves were no longer his family, he became lost and he spiralled until the world blurred, days passing without meaning or understanding until she found him.

A light pulling him from the darkness Nammia found him and as stubborn as she was she refused to abandon him. Gradually he had managed to claw his way back up. Michael still ever present with in his soul yet for the most part he managed to keep the Archangel out of his business.
Where nothing had made sense, Nammia retaught him, where there had been only pain she offered relief and eventually Zigan found parts of himself and was able to rebuild.

Over time they became more then just friends. Their travels had taken them far and wide and the pain of his past had become nothing more then a painful memory, one he knew he would have to face yet as the months went by he gather enough strength to not fear the past only to try and learn from it, he had even tried to form a bond with the Archangel despite also trying to find ways to rid himself of him.

Arbor National Park had offered the life they wanted, The Ivory Forest had ample land and for the most part was safe. He and Nammia had set up there and in time they had accumulated a small number of wolves whom followed them. They were once again Alpha's and with the title their strength physically and emotionally regained it's pull potential.

Despite it all though he couldn't rest. He had lost so much and had with Nammia's help built a new life yet he knew he had not done enough. News had come of Kostas falling to the Oxen Corporation, the wolves had fled, many of them heading towards the cities of Arcane and Saint's stand, the news coming from those locations had also been dire, he and Nammia had agreed they could not just sit idle by and ignore the trickling information as it came. They needed to help, or at least try and offer sanctuary.

He and Nammia left together but separated themselves once arriving in the main land they had numerous meet up times and locations preplanned out yet knew they would cover more area if they split up.
She had taken The Wilds of The Ravaged lands, and he had chosen the cities, Arcane first.
Wearing sunglasses he had passed through the city streets quietly and for the most part undisturbed. The soldiers were easy to pick out so he had avoided them having to go miles out of his way at times. The evening had proven to be a frustrating one, the only scents he had come across were of a human nature. He decided to venture further into the depths of the city, away from the bright lights and towards the more run down parts. That was when things changed, faint scents, long past came and went, vampires, shape shifters, demons and wolves, none of them seemed recent but it was all he needed, It was evidence that some still remained.

He longed to shift right there, to feel the snapping of bones, the tearing of muscles, to break the clawing suffocation of silence and let rip a howl to shake the humans to their very foundations. Blue rings hidden beneath dark glasses surged how he wished to destroy them all, to take claim of the city and lay waste to the humans that had hurt his kind so, yet he could do none of those things.
As annoying as that was he sighed to himself, reminding himself that he was far from useless.
“If you wouldn't mind” he spoke as though to himself yet not at all to himself, tapping into some power not of his own he used Michael's borrowed energy to surge forth his scent to all those of Wolf blood within the city limits.
He walked towards a collapsed wall that had fallen from what was once a garage and he took a seat, waiting to see if his efforts paid off. For now he was a beacon for all those who wished to find him.

A strong scent washed over him, despite the heavy scent of blood around him from the corpses of Oxen Corp soldiers laying around him outside of their communications shack. He had finally had enough of these annoying bastards, and decided it was time to fight back, viciously. The men had not seen him coming, nor had they stood a chance as he had come roaring out of the surrounding trees. The team of 10 men had fallen quickly to him, screams quickly silenced, though, one had managed to get a distress call off, by virtue of the other 9 men working to give him the precious few seconds they could. That had been all he had needed to successfully send out the call, not for help, but of warning that something had been attacking. When the team to examine the carnage arrived, there would be no doubt that it had been a lycanthropic attack.

He knew the scent immediately, though it had been quite some time since it has crossed his nostrils. Zigan. The male had been, seemingly, killed by Blaze quite some time ago, it had been as it seemed, but Blade had been forced to step up into the position of Alpha and banish Blaze from the Kostas pack lands. "Lord that seems like a different lifetime." The large male muttered to himself as he mulled the thoughts over in his head, before deciding that he would track the man down. Shifting back to his humanoid form, he began moving through the darkness, following the scent. It did not take him long before he emerged from the shadows, wearing his usual outfit, long leather coat, jeans(which were a recent change, being more durable and flexible than leather pants), and black shirt.

He looked, a touch more ragged, almost feral you might say. Specks and splotches of blood clung to his clothing, remnants from his earlier, activities of the day.

"Zigan."

~KARA~

She smiled softly at Zigans greeting. "Its nice to see you too, always good to see another of our kind." she said softly. a few quiet seconds passed and the wind picked up across the empty lot, deep red hair blowing softly around her form. With the breeze brought another scent, recognition causing her to turn her attention from Zigan as her eyes set upon Blaze while he approached.

Her smile faltered and crimson eyes glowered as she looked at him still in rough shape, though he was definitely an improvement from the state she had found him in. As he came to stand by her she watched him closely, giving his hand a soft squeeze as he laced his fingers with hers. The touch was warm against her cool skin as his body pressed into her own, the comforting feeling causing her own subconscious lean back into him. Looking up she caught the look from the corner of his emerald eyes as he moved to stand before her. Brow raised and her nose crinkled in a way that was almost child like as she eyed Blaze, it had been a long time since she was the one being protected and for just a second she relished in the safe feeling Blaze gave her.

Softly she placed her free hand on his forearm, studying him as he turned his attention to Zigan. His discomfort was clearly visible to anyone who would know him but the amount of distress that rolled off Blaze was almost overwhelming. She could feel the animal twisting and turning as if pent up in a tiny cage, pacing back and forth ready to spring at any second. Worry was evident on her face as she face forward, though she breathed deep and evenly as she emitted soothing waves around them in an attempt to help bide him over.

The light sound of approaching footsteps behind her turned her attention to look at the young female. Unmistakable emerald eyes what matched Blaze's so perfectly explained who she was in an instant with no explanation needed. She was his daughter and she was the perfect blend of her parents. Kara would be lying if she denied the punch in the gut and the sting that the young female brought, but she hid it silently as she smiled softly at her with warm eyes.

Her response was to Zigan, answering his question although she her attention was lost elsewhere. "There's more..." she said absently, "There has to be." her last words trailed off in a whisper as if more to herself then anyone else. For a moment she forgot Blaze and the others and thought of her own child, heart beating faster as she worried. Blinking back moisture in her eyes she looked back to Blaze, smiling as she looked between father and daughter and happy for their reunion. "Zigan, why did you call us here?" she asked, not being rude but now she was curious what the gathering was meant for.

This post may seem a bit sketchy. I'm placing this thread in the timeline after Blaze is healed at castle Blackthorne, a thread which is not yet finished.
Benjamin goes trough a forced shift in that thread which has not happened yet. So he's unstable.

"Destruction is a form of creation."

Arcane had always been something of a place whispered upon the wind amongst his homeland. Though there had been frequent visitors that stepped foot into Muchani and he had learned quickly of the stern nature in which these characters often presented.
The most famed having been Wolf Mortum. The male proved himself something of an asset to Blaze and his family for some time, quickly becoming something akin to a brother of Benjamin himself. He had held the male in the highest regard upon his teachings in the ways of battle and cunning until the day of his betrayal.
There was a vicious stirring within his breast at the painful memory. It caused pause in his step, not wanting a repeat of what had happened in Castle Blackthorne after his healing. Benjamin stepped aside, sinking into a deep shadow of a tall building, placing his back against the wall. He rest his head there, emerald eyes aglow, he hid them behind lids in an attempt to curb the animalistic urge he suddenly felt.
Breathing deeply he pressed his tongue to the roof of his mouth and cleared his mind, pushing the creature back within; for the moment at least. He needed to run. That much was present. He needed to run, dig those heathen claws into dirt and race across an untamed land scape. He felt the urge to rip into a tough hide and saw at its innards until the blood covered his maw in a delicious and stinky array.
It had been so long since he had been able to transform. So long in fact that when he had healed within the flames of Castle Blackthornes biggest hearth, it had sprung attack upon him.
He sighed softly, setting the baying of the inner wolf to a halt momentarily. It took a few long minutes in order to control the instinct enough to continue. He was headed to the out lands anyway. To run freely and feed the hunger within.
He used his foot to push off of the wall, fingers helping, and as he stepped back into the light he carried on in pace as if nothing had happened.
He hadn't reached 100 metres down the road before a familiar scent caught in the wind. He stopped dead. No. He thought, "It can't be."
But he knew that it was. The unmistakable scents that lingered like those caught on a summer breeze. Faint and only recognisable to those whom knew what it was they were looking for.
Instinctively his head turned towards the direction in which it was delivered. He felt that animalistic surge again. Stronger this time, pulling at the tangent strings of his inner being. Zigan was calling him.
This emerald hues were encircled with a ring of molten gold and he had to fight hard against the urge to shift then and there. Instead he touched the stone at his neck absent of thought and focused on his movement.

It hadn't taken long to find the male. Benjamin had found that his animal instincts had been heightened as of late, like a resurgence within from being made dormant for so long and they dragged him towards the place like an instinctual pull. It moved his legs absent of thought until he was facing his former friend from across a distance.
It hadn't surprised him that Blade and Kara were already there. He moved to Karas side and took her hand in his, nestling into her side protectively, placing his body slightly in front of hers. He squeezed her hand to steady the shake in his bones and looked back at her from the corner of his eye; though it was more for himself than for her. He knew she wouldn't feel threatened and though it wasn't Zigans presence that made him feel uncomfortable, it was that deep need to shift and be that which he was born to be. It was the fear of the uncontrollable that resided within that shift which brought with it the uncomfortable notion he felt.
He'd already made a mental note to head directly to the outskirts of the forest as soon as he was able, to shift and simply let the animal take over; but a call from such a respectable member of his former pack could not go in answered; and so he had found himself here instead.
Benjamin was well aware of the unsteady aura that surrounded him. He was wild, and under the surface of  inanimate composure, was untamed; but he controlled his breathing and stick like glue against Kara, she was his vice and he needed to be here.

The call was an unfamiliar one to Maylin but it was difficult to ignore. Although having never been in a pack, she wasn't accustomed to the constant threat and isolation that Arcane had offered her. Her only company had been Blade, whom without she would no doubt still be trapped within Ox Corp or worse. Apart from him and that strange red headed vampire and his friend she had barely met anybody in this land. She supposed it was a good thing seeing as the human population hated her kind, in fact hated any kind that weren't there own. It didn't really make sense to her, what had she ever done to anyone to justify such a reaction? So, despite her social and outgoing nature, she had been doing her best to try and lay low, refusing to leave till she had found out what had happened to her family.

So when she heard the call, coming from Arcane no less, she felt compelled to at least see if they needed help. There wasn't alot she could do for them but maybe she could pass on what information she had gathered that might help them navigate this land better. Dressed in black winter coat, she had grown accustomed to the strange shadow material that Blade had gifted to her and had fashioned her clothing from it. Her dark curls hung around her freckled face as her breathe condensed in the air. What started as a single scent, began to multiple. The original scent was still unfamiliar to her but Blade's was immediately recognisable given the close quarters they had been sharing. Moving past the dilapidated buildings, she picked up another scent, an unknown female. She smiled, happy in the knowledge that she was not as alone as she had first imagined.

But she was almost halted in her tracks as she picked up another, the comforting scent of burnt wood that Maylin would of known anywhere. " Daddy.. " she beamed as her walk broke into a run, having to force herself to not draw any unwanted attention by doing anything that would be seen as unnatural by their standards. Still, knowing that her father was so close after all this time made her forget what had brought her to this place to begin with. As approached the group, the first she spotted was Blade, taller then the rest and towering over her. But her eyes, the mirror of her father's were searching for Blaze and they soon found him. " Daddy! " she said smiling, approaching from behind him and a female whose hand was interlocked with his. Admittedly it was strange seeing her father with a female, growing up it had just been them. But that was the least of her concerns.

As the distance between her and her father lessened, his emotional state became all to apparent to her, causing her smile to falter and her brows to furrow in worry. She didn't what had happened to him to cause him to feel this way, her empathy only extended to what he was feeling. She wasn't a mind reader but she didn't need to be to know that something terrible had happened and that her father was barely keeping it together. Her run had come to a halt as she wasn't' sure how to proceed. Her father was seeking comfort in the female and she felt guilty for having not been there for him. She had always been the one to comfort him when he need it but they had been apart for so long and now it seemed like he had needed it more then ever and she wasn't there. Unsure, she stood patiently, waiting for his reaction. If her father wished it she would stand with him and the female but if he was not able to cope with a reunion right now, she would keep her distance till the business here was done. As mush as she wanted nothing more to embrace him, she respected that right now, he was dealing with his own emotions and had another to support him.

The whirring of cars in the distance greeted him and for some time the sounds of the city were the only company he kept, he had begun to wonder whether he sat wasting his time. Trusting Michael enough to know his scent would have met any of the wolves within the city he had to come to the conclusion that none of them were coming, they either feared for their lives enough that they were not able to walk through the streets or they were not interested in coming out to meet him. Not that he would blame any of the old Kumari members if they chose to avoid him, he had not left on very good terms to say the least. He knew for the most part they knew he was influenced by other beings and had not struck out against them by his own free will yet he also knew he would not deny them any resentment they had against him for leaving them.

Inspecting his nails in an idle fashion he sighed starting to rise when he realized that perhaps his conclusion had been wrong. He only needed to give them longer to answer his call.
The shadows shifted darkening and stretching into a mass before him, Blade arriving in his usual attention grabbing style as the shadows dissipated as quickly as they had arrived.
He stood quiet for a moment as he looked upon the male who had once upon a time followed him as his right hand man, he was unsure of how the interaction would go, especially gauging the rather dishevelled look of Blade. Times had obviously been as difficult as he had been told of.
But as he waited he realized Blade had not come to meet him with any malice, he simply had come to greet him in response to the scent.

Nodding his head he stood up brushing any wall debris from his clothing as he took a few steps closer to his one time friend.
“Hello Blade. It's good to see you” he smiled, he was unsure of who has made it and who had fallen at the hands of the corporation. He had questions to ask and things to say but he found he didn't have the time.
More had picked up his scent.

Kara joined them next, taking a much more casual route and pace down the street to meet them. He had never spent vast amounts of time near Kara but he knew enough of her to offer her another nod akin to the one he had given to Blade as he arrived. “Hello Kara, Nice to see you” the whole thing was starting to seem some what more formal then Zigan was used to but for now he just followed the course of things. Kara was here, that meant that others probably were and one of those would likely be Blaze, his one time best friend. Seeing him again would cause inner confliction yet he missed his companionship, he missed having his friend, Lucifer and Michael were to thank for the downfall of that friendship.

He found his mind wondering, travelling through memories finding those which he cared not to remember, they taunted him, confused him and made him vulnerable. The sight of Blaze upon him as the life left his body, his best friend his murderer, then everything after, all the memories did was was taunt him yet he pulled himself away from them, Nammia had given him the strength to do so.
The inner struggle was likely to have gone unnoticed coming and passing again in a matter of second, the arrival of Blaze snapping him to attention as he move towards Kara seemingly stepping as though he needed to protect her from him. There was some sting to it yet he would not blame him only blood had been spilled when the two since the corruption. Nothing good had come from any of it.

He had been taken aback by Blaze's arrival even though he had expected it. He looked almost ill and Zigan felt instantly guilty for having left though he knew there really had been no other choice at the time.
How far things had gone, everything had been so out of hand it was hard to know which betrayals were real and which were orchestrated by higher beings using them both as pawns in game much larger then themselves.
His thoughts had taken his attention from the group once more, he had not greeted Blaze and as he went to do so he flinched the voice of another calling out the word 'Daddy' broke the silence as a young female made her way towards Blaze. It had been years since Zigan had laid eyes upon his friends children he could not have guessed which one she was so he settled himself for a small nod to both her and her father.
“Hello” his confidence seemed less then it had been going in. He had not expected such a response to his call and he had not been as prepared as he thought he was in facing those he had been forced to leave behind. He was beyond glad that they were all before him, all alive. He tried to focus on the relief of it all more then the nerves he felt.
“Are you all that is left?”

"There are a few others, but, this is the majority." Blade replied to Zigan's question. He watched as first Blaze arrived, followed shortly thereafter by Kara, who made her way over to stand near the male. The biggest surprise to arrive, was Maylin. Yes, he knew she was here, in fact he knew rather well, and she looked rather fetching in the outfit she had manipulated from the shadow material he had given her. She looked substantially more cleaned up and put together than he did, but, that was due to some of the hits he had been putting on the Oxen Corp remote facilities. Some of those had turned out better than others, he had a few new scars to show for his efforts, but his message had been delivered, or so he hoped.

Flexing his arm, he could feel the muscle in his shoulder twinge. The twist of pain elicited a small growl, not a groan, but a growl from Blade. "Been a while since we have seen, heard, or smelled hide or hair of you, what've you been up to?" He asked, getting straight to the point of what was going through his own head. He knew there was a more feral look to him than they had seen before, but, it was not a look completely foreign to him. Back when he had worked as a simple mercenary it was not unusual to see people in bars or taverns flinch, taken aback at his appearance.

"Destruction is a form of creation."

He had watched Zigan with cautious eyes. Though not for want of trouble, nor out of distrust for the male, but that thing beneath his flesh began to stir within the close proximity of Michael. That Devine being had taken form within his friend, and although it had saved the life of Zigan, Shaiten did not allow Benjamin to feel a comfort in it. Silently he seethed.
But what happened next seemed to break that uncomfortable thickness in the air, it stabbed into his insecurities of the past few months and lathered his entire being with a glee that could only be held and expressed by a parent who'd thought this child lost, only for them to be found; and safe.
The male spun upon his heels, turning abruptly to meet those mirrored emerald hues. His fingers dis-tangled with Karas as he had done so and he closed the distance between the two of them in four swift steps, sweeping her into his arms.
He had noticed the look upon her face, the aura that stunk of confusion around her and even the hesitation in her own movements towards him; but none of that mattered in that moment.
He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly to his chest, burying his face into the crook of her neck.
"Maylin." the name slipped from his lips like the sweetest flavour and he breathed in his daughters scent whole heartily. "I love you my darling." he spoke the words softly. His eyes brimming with tears.
It took several moments for Benjamin to remember why they had gathered in that place, and he unravelled his arms from her but took her hand, looking over her face as he moved back to Karas side, Maylin in tow.
There was a smile upon his face that seemed it would be there an age, his heart sing and it projected into his features. He stood slightly to the front of both the females, holding both their hands tightly as he turned attention back to Zigan as Kara got right to the punch. He knew there would be time enough for stories, explanations and greetings later.

Maylin nuzzled into her father's warmth as he wrapped his arms around her. She had missed him, his scent, his warmth, the way his arms almost completely engulfed her. She hadn't realised how much until right now. " I love you too Daddy. " she said into his ear , smiling. It had been the happiest she had been since she arrived and she almost did not want to part from the embrace which didn't last long enough. But her father had remembered the real reason they had all gathered there, her family reunion just happened to be a happy coincidence. One she was grateful for as she felt the joy within her father. She wanted to tell him everything that happened to her in this strange place. She wanted to know how he had been and who his new friend was. But as her father remained silent and simply took her by the hand, she knew their time would come to catch up on time lost.

Squeezing his hand, she listened as everyone was greeted by the wolf whose scent she had followed. He seemed to know her father's friend and she made a note of her name. She had a feeling it would be important as she glanced over and gave Kara, a small but genuine smile. She seemed to be important to her father so Maylin was eager to get to know her. Unfortunately Maylin couldn't ignore the woman's feelings. She couldn't quite put her finger on why she felt that way. Unfortunately her abilities only extended as far as emotions, not thoughts. She never why people felt the way they did only that was how they felt. Despite how the woman felt she smiled kindly at her which gave Maylin some hope. If this woman was important to her father then she was important to Maylin.

Thinking of people that were important to her, she looked over at Blade who looked a lot different compared to the last time she had seen him. He had been attempting to teach her some self defence among other things but she hadn't seen him in days. Her brows furrowed with concern as she could see and feel the pain he was in. It was the worst she had seen him since their escape from Ox Corp and she had no doubt that his current was also their doing. She wanted to ask him if he was ok but everyone was more concerned about why this Zigan character had called them there and she felt it would be rude to interrupt. This gathering was not about her, her father or Blade. The male had obviously called them there for a reason and despite her joy at being reunited with her father and her concern for Blade, she was curious as to why the male was here and why he wanted to meet with them all.

Re: Pastures Anew (Wolf/Lycan Characters)

Post by Zigan on Sun 22 Jan 2017, 21:08

The painful question had an even more painful answer as Blade replied that even though that was not all of them there were not many others to come. It felt like a knife to the gut and he tried not to let the news hit him as hard as it attempted to. He had loved the pack, every single one of them had been his family and the knowledge that a large number of them had fallen or been lost came as some what of a suffocating realization.
Logically he had known that not everyone would have made it. The foe they had all been facing were strong and out gunned and out manned them all three fold yet in his heart he had pleaded with Michael and any other deities that may have cause to listen to watch over his family and keep them safe. Yet again the higher beings had let him down and idiotically it still managed to cause him pain. After all he had done for them, all the trials and the blood they could not even ensure the lives of a few wolves, it made him feel sick and for a moment he had to force himself to remain standing at the head of a meeting he had called, his mind reeling enough that he wanted to flee back into the land of ignorance and emptiness.

Both Blade and Kara wanted answers and for a moment he was unable to give them. Blaze held his gaze and he returned it, the light and dark monsters within acknowledging each other with a painful loathing and explosive desire to best one another. It was something that always had them teetering upon the edge of madness when in each others company. Their friendship had been tested by many things the creatures within were by far the biggest and most agonizing test of them all. Plain defiance and maybe tentative arrogance had pushed Zigan onwards to reach out to them all, in hope and in dread that Blaze would surface. He hoped he could over power Michael, that he could hold sway upon his own body enough to once again coexist with Blaze or at least communicate with him once again.

Dizzy with the efforts of ignoring Michael and the news of loss of life he turned his attention from Blaze as he greeted his daughter. He looked to Blade who had asked him where he had been.
“You must understand I had no choice when I left you” he implored not only Blade but all of them. “I had no choice, I wish I could have stayed to fight beside you all but I simply could not. I did not free myself of Michael though for a brief time I thought I had. He is still with me and at the time he was such a driving force that I could not control my desire to destroy any and all demon ilk that I could. I did not want to hurt any of you. I left I found a new home” he paused, he and Blaze knew very well that if Zigan had not left when he did one of them would have had to die again. They had no choice.

It was far to complicated to get into out in the open and far to uncomfortable to discuss at that moment in time.
Kara's question did not cause him as much suffering so he diverted “Nammia and myself found a new land. It is much safer, food is abundant. We have been able to live for the most part in comfort and freedom. Arbor National park is the name of this place. We have built up a modest home and a small pack there. Ox Corp are not even known of there”
He had been building himself a life with Nammia, a home in peace yet the memory of his loved ones haunted him.
No matter how much pain they had caused each other no matter how much damage that had been done he simply could not leave them.
“I wanted to find you all, to offer safe passage. To join me in and Nammia in the park” in his mind he had imagined this conversation coming across with much more confidence yet he found himself afraid they would turn him away and once again he would have to suffer the fate of not knowing whether they all lived or died.
“I wanted to help you.. where I failed to do so before”

A place where Oxen Corp was unheard of? "I highly doubt that its completely free from those bastards, but, if it is, then I definitely think you guys should go with Zigan." Blade said, looking at Blaze, Kara, and Maylin. "I, however, am not done with them," He added, reaching up to flick a fleck of blood from his sleeve. Oxen Corp had pursued them for long enough, now he was going to exact revenge, bloody, bloody revenge. "But, if you would do one thing for me, tell Nammia I said hello." He chuckled, though they had had their falling out over, issues better left unsaid for now, they had been part of the same pack, and he still considered her family.

"But, regardless of the choices and reasons for why you left, for now, cooperation is the biggest need for survival. Blaze, Kara, you two need to take care of Maylin for me, please." He looked at her,and smiled. It hurt him to send her away, she had been the only person he had really been close with since Tamesis had vanished, but, she was no killer. Yes, she was tough, and she was a survivor, but, what he had in mind, the emotional strain from those he would encounter, would be too much for her.

This is a collaboration between Kara and Blaze.

As Kara awaited Zigans answer she took a half of step forward, head tilting off to the side as she pondered the tension that hung clearly in the air whilst Blaze lingered for a moment behind, his sight following Maylins toward Denarius with a questioning gaze. The tenderness in the way she looked at him did not go unnoticed ad his eyes narrowed ever so slightly.
It had come to Karas attention that all three males seemed tense, though it seemed that the appearance of Blazes daughter had taken his attention off of whatever was causing the inner turmoil he was experiencing when he arrived. As Zigan began to provide his answer to Blade, she listened intently. She remembered the ordeal that Blaze and Zigan had gone through but she never pushed Blaze for answers of what happened and he never offered. So she tried to piece together what she could understand of his story, brows raising as she looked from Zigan to Blaze.
Meanwhile, Blazes mind raced in the possibilities behind the inclination of his daughter and Blade. He chewed his lip absent of thought in the action.

Kara didn't have much time to think any of it through before Zigan answered her, his first sentence causing a twitch in the corner of her lip. It took a moment for Benjamin to slip his stare from Blade and Maylin, to Zigan. Silently they listened as he offered them entrance to his pack, mixed emotions flooded through Kara and crimson eyes looked to Blaze, assessing him for reaction. His brows had come together in what seemed to be confliction.
Kara knew her answer would be no, for many reasons. But she worried that Blaze would agree to go, looking for safe passage for him and his daughter, in which she couldn't blame him. Since the Okami, she and Blaze had been separated by pack and it had always made the drift between them worse. Anxiously, she chewed on her lower lip and pondered what would happen if he stayed. But Kara knew she needed to return to the city, continue looking for others and fighting the Oxen corp. People she loved could still be out there and hiding wouldn't find them.
With a hand in in each of Kara and Maylin hands, Blazes head shook slowly but before he could utter a word, he was cut off by Blade and his eyes returned to the male.

Karas eyes narrowed at Blade, a sigh escaping her lips as he advised them to go with Zigan, shaking her head slightly.
Blaze, on the other hand had felt his teeth tighten in both the order given to him to stay behind and the realisation at the relations between Blade and his daughter in the pleading for her protection. He was suddenly awash with rage, and he felt his body visually become rigid, but as soon as it had Kara had given his hand a soft squeeze; perhaps a warning to calm himself. It worked to an extent, returning his mind, how ever encumbered, to the current task, before she released it. She looked at the group of them before settling on Zigan while Benjamin remained silent for the moment, eyes fixated on Denarius with a concrete stare; though he listened, he did not react right away.
"The Oxen corp raided both the Kosta's and Nayati, how long do you thing it will be before they find this park?" Kara said crossing her arms over her chest. "I appreciate your offer Zigan but I have to decline regardless of what Blade says. My daughter and my pack may still be out there." She didn't bother to mention that she wasn't a fan of Nammia, or that she couldn't see herself falling into rank again. The simple explanation was all she offered before looking at Blaze and Maylin.

It took a long moment for Blaze to find his words, emerald eyes now aglow with a golden rim. His emotions and hormones were completely out of his control as of late, a result from the suppression of his animalistic instincts thanks to Oxen Corporation. It hadn't been long since his freedom, combine that with the tension he felt within his breast from Shaiten, adversary to Michael, it was an ingredient for disaster; but whether it was help from Kara or in his own intentions, he remained somewhat collected.
How ever, his icy stare had not pulled from Blade as he announced his decision, "No." he bit through clenched teeth; though it wasn't clear if the answer was directed to Blade or Zigan, his tone and intent was like crystal. His grip had tightened protectively in Maylins hand absent of thought and he had drawn it behind his back, both at the thought of leaving her and at the thought of Blades hands on her.
Finally, he ripped his eyes from Blade and moved them towards Zigan, "Kara is right, Zigan, how long do you think it will be before they find you if you leave the problem unsolved?" his head began to shake again, eyes narrowing, though not intently at the male, but in thought of his next words, "I know what it is like to be in their clutches and there are many more left in peril. I will not abandoned them.[\color]" He glanced at Alleria before swiftly back to the male, hand raising, palm upwards gesturing towards Alleria, "Had Alleria left, I'd have been captured once again, I'm sure of it; and not days ago we found another of our own helpless and naked in the streets of Arcane." He was clearly angry and barely present in his own thoughts, a collective of all the emotions and instability he felt at the moment. "Take your pack and we will stay, though I cannot speak for my daughter, I do hope she chooses to go with you, thought she can make her own decisions;" he had made that part extremely clear, for listening ears, 'but those of us who choose it will find others and give them the choice to fight with us or join you in safety." he knew Zigans idea was a good one and one that they could work together to accomplish, but perhaps had things not turned out the way they had in other areas, he would have addressed the entire situation differently.

M A Y L I N . N E K I S H U
Lycan || Empath

As the male spoke Maylin felt rather confused. Although he seemed to know many of those who had gathered, he was a stranger to her and the explanation of his apparent absence only led to more and more confusion. She tried to put the pieces together, someone called Michael had captured him? It wasn't quite making sense but she hoped that for those looking for an explanation it would make some kind of sense to them. She knew that whatever he was saying was genuine, she could always tell when someone was lying so she could at least trust him to be honest, something she found enduring and respected.

But her mind was soon distracted from her current thoughts, to brighter ones. She couldn't deny that she hadn't enjoyed her time in this land. Misery seemed to hang thick in the air here. It had been taking a toll on her both emotionally as well as mentally as she was beginning to lose hope of ever finding her family again. That was of course until a few moments ago when she was finally reunited with her father. The idea of finally being away from this wretched place and the people who inhabited it, was appealing. She had loved her life in Kumari, where she could hunt freely and move around as she pleased. She had felt caged here and the place Zigan wa describing sounded like paradise compared to where she currently was.

But as the wolves around her spoke, some very near and dear to her heart, began to refuse starting with Blade. He seemed to think it was a good idea but still he refused to come. It wasn't making sense to her but then she did not have the thirst for revenge or blood that Blade had. But after all the time they had spent together to hear him wanting her to leave, hurt despite knowing it was coming from a place of concern and that it hurt him too. But her and Blade's emotions would soon become the least of her worries as her father's emotions dominated. His grip on her hand was tightening as a rage ran through him unlike any she could remember. For a moment she feared that this polite conversation would descend into a brawl between her father and Blade, a sight she could not have beared. For the first time, she had wished to be back inside that box Oxen Corporation had kept her in, it would be far easier to deal with then this.

Looking back toward Blade as her father seemed to keep his eyes fixed on him, Maylin didn't know what to do except to do what she had always done when her father was upset and comfort him. Like a biological reflex, her body began to emit waves of comfort and joy in the hopes of soothing him although she had no idea what the effect would be. She had never felt him this mad and it was all herr fault. Moving in closer, her father followed in Kara's footsteps and refused to join the new pack, instead offering to stay behind but like Blade, he too wanted her to go with him. It shocked her initially. Had she angered him so that he wished her to go away? Those were her initial fears as she looked at Zigan, a male who was a stranger to her and yet everyone seemed to believe was the best choice for her. Perhaps they were right, Blade had already shown her she was no fighter but she had only just found her father again, she couldn't leave him right now, not with the way he was feeling.

" Zigan. " she said his name with some hesitancy as it was the first time she had ever really said it before. " It sounds lovely, it really does but can I have some time to think about it? " she asked so sweetly knowing that the rejections had left him feeling deflated. He had meant well and it was not going as he planned. In that moment, stuck between two men she very much cared about, she couldn't make a decision of that importance. " I've only just found my Dad and I want to spend some time with him first. " she said squeezing his arm hoping that her attempts to soothe him were working if only a little. " But it really does sound nice, maybe we can talk about more soon? " she really was desperately trying to please everybody, to make everybody happy and apart of her knew if it made her father happy she would join the stranger and his pack in the new land if only to see him smile.

" Daddy, maybe we should go? " she suggested hoping to diffuse the situation and protect both her father and Blade from each other. She would hope that they would not hurt each other knowing it would cause her pain but she also knew these were males and they both cared about her. There was every chance that it could escalate to the point where someone got hurt and that was the last thing Maylin ever wanted. She hadn't thought that her friendship with Blade would have such an effect on her father and she had no idea why but she had a feeling that once Zigan was gone, she would soon find out. "

Re: Pastures Anew (Wolf/Lycan Characters)

An instant rejection from Blade went a long way towards defeating his dream for them all. Concealing the hurt he felt he tried to swallow it back as best he could. After all it was a choice, he could not force any of them to come with him, even though he wanted them to come so badly that it was almost physical pain to be told no.
He doubted Ox Corp did not know of the place and that also stung yet it did not cause him pain in fact it stirred anger up in the pit of his stomach. The fact that the others also echoed that concern only made it worse.
They thought him a fool? Really thinking that he had not done extensive ground work to back his claims. OX Corp knew nothing of them there, for the most part humans did not even know of them, they were well within the wilds and thousands of miles from the cooperation. Ox Corp were strong but they did not dominate the world, no where close to it.
Of course he knew that one day they could possibly make it far enough to become an issue but he knew that if they followed they would have been able to gain much more strength and numbers by then. But it seemed no one else saw that potential, no one else understood the chance they were being offered. It was crushing to say the least.

Blade was fool enough to offer up the others without the authority or control over them to do so, Zigan nodded but did not pay the comment any more mind then it deserved his eyes narrowing in annoyance that he seemed to arrogantly think he could take them on. Those that tried had failed and lost a lot more then just their lives in the process. He would have tried to talk sense into him but he knew that to be pointless so he looked away taking in the small group of Kara, Blaze and Maylin that had formed. The comments echoing Blade's concern over Ox Corp finding them there still underneath his skin.

Kara tried to explain herself and he understood though it was still another blow, the one from Blaze hitting home more so especially with the initial bluntness of his reply.
They didn't want to leave anyone behind, he understood that. Nor did he. It was the reason him and Nammia had returned and he did not expect them to, he would have wanted them to follow him when they were ready yet none of them seemed to give it any real thought they had all rejected him now instantly and in their doing so they had worded it in a way which made him feel as though they felt him to be a coward who would run off back to his safe land and leave them there to face an unfair fight. Was that what they thought of him now, had he really fallen so far from their graces?

'Take your pack' Blaze words struck him enough that he recoiled. Yes he had his new wolves back at the park but surely those before him were still his family, still his to have a claim to as much as anyone... apparently not.

Maylin spoke and it diverted him away from reacting, she stopped him from saying things he would probably only regret later.
She also declined, at this point it came as no shock even though the poor girl had practically been offered up. She how ever was kind about it leaving her options open.
“Yes Maylin, that's fine. I will be easy to find”

Coming to Arcane had given him hope, those hopes had been dashed now and he didn't even know where to start when it came to trying to process that and move on. He didn't know whether he could move on he was suddenly adrift from those he has been so obsessed over liberating. Not only that they seemed to think of him in a way he found humiliating.

In an attempt to at least defend himself his head shook with nothing more then a beaten stance. “Ox Corp are no where near these lands. Even if they were to find us there it would not be for a very long time and we would be ready for them.. To think I would blindly risk any of you in such a way...” he didn't finish his hand waving towards them, it didn't matter. They thought he, he could not change that.
As he stood there he couldn't help but feel the death of the pack, the death of the only family he had ever known. This was the end.
Unlike Blaze he did not feel anger now, he felt nothing but an sadness so overwhelming it would have only been matched had they all actually died.
Clenching his jaw to hold back the flood gates he sighed, not knowing what to say now, he supposed there was nothing he could say, there was nothing he could do other then leave disgraced and boycotted.
“Very well.. so be it” clearing his throat he looked upon them his gaze soft “Good luck”

"Thanks for the offer Zigan, I appreciate." He said, seeing the sloop the man's shoulders as each of them had, in turn, turned him down on his offer. "But, I am tired of being hunted by these bastards, tired being the hunted. They need to be made to fear the very darkness in which they hunt us. I am going to make them bleed." He said, with a determined grin on his face, and a seemingly blood thirsty gleam in his eyes. "But, I've spoken my piece, and, unless anyone else needs me for anything, I have a few, 'appointments', around the city to attend to." He said, looking around.

His eyes moved from each person, before settling upon Maylin, and, when he did, the look in his eyes changed. They changed from a look of blood thirst, to a look of affection. He had hoped she would go, to get away and be safe from the danger that Ox Corp presented, but, he had to admit that she was her own person. He did, however, catch the death glare that Blaze had thrown his way temporarily, and had a feeling in his gut that things could get ugly if given the chance.

Kara Rae

Kara remembered fondly of pack days, the freedom to roam and hunt while having a safe place to call home. However, times have changed and with the turmoil going on in the city between the wolves and Oxen Corp she knew that it wasn't the time to follow into a pack. Though she knew that deep down, there was only one wolf who she would follow and it wasn't the one offering refuge. Her gaze cast sideways to Blaze who seemed to be having his own reservations about the offer, though the deep seeded anger that was dwelling within him seemed directed to Blade as well.

Part of her felt bad for Maylin, seeing as how both Blaze and Blade offered her up to Zigan in a way. She knew they both wanted her safety but at what cost, her own freedom to choose? Though at the moment she looked like shed rather be anywhere else but here, caught in the middle of three males all with emotions running high. Kara wondered what Blaze was thinking of Maylin and Blade to cause him to be so enraged, her crimson gaze swept between the three as she worried about the fight that could ensue.

Zigan also seemed upset, though with the general consensus that no one would be joining his pack she could understand the hurt of rejection. Though she wasn't sure what else he should have expected, seeing as how Blaze was an alpha in his own right. Kara coming from her own alpha position in the Nayati, and Blade was a wildcard. It would be a challenge for any of the three to fall back into line of rank after the packs were split apart and they were all forced to live as lones until finding one another. She understood Maylins hesitation, hoping that should she decide to go to the pack that their initial refusal didn't hinder her options.

She listened as Zigan tried to defend his idea of a safe pack but it was as if he gave up after a moment, making Kara almost feel bad. "Even if they haven't found you yet, don't you think they will? How far was our home and they reached there, nowhere safe and until it is a large pack will only draw attention. And while yes, there's strength in numbers you have to realize that their numbers are far greater then our own." She added, though she felt it useless to argue the points. Upon hearing Maylin's request to leave Kara nodded in agreement. "Yea, we shouldn't stay in the open too long." she added, looking to Blaze who seemed to be holding his control back by a thread.
