Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by Cashan on Wed 25 Jan 2017, 17:52

* This is a thread to merge the existing Death Coven with the remaining members of the Matashina Coven from our Sister Site Risen Deceptions. This is a huge undertaking and will be a large thread involving many writers and characters. We ask that all writers reply to posts as quickly as possible even if they are brief and follow the posting order to avoid confusion. Either Hope or Ajax may break positing order to progress the storyline. Matashina members should wait to post AFTER Ajax *

H O P E . D E A T H - R E I G N
Vampire || Wraith

About a week had passed since she had given her confirmation to Ajax to merge the covens and the days and nights had passed in a whirlwind since then. She hadn't realised just how much had to be done until she started. She had managed to rope in Marcus and Destiny to help her around the house and she and Knigh had been stocking the house with enough blood to ensure that everyone, no matter how many Ajax brought would be well fed, at least for the first while. She wanted Ajax's coven to get settled before they had to do their first blood run. She, Marcus and Knigh had been doing it for years. They may not have been as old or as experienced as Ajax's coven but they knew each other. Hope would only have to give either a look and they would know what her next move would be. The thought of facing Ox Corp with a stranger who didn't know how she liked to operate, made her nervous and Hope had never been nervous about anything in her short life least of all facing Ox Corp. Maybe the pressures of leadership were starting to get her already.

Hope, of course never needing a reason to shop, had replaced nearly all the linens in the house as well had all the furnishings cleaned. The house was actually starting to look more like a home then the relic it had become in the last few years, although Hope would have been pleased if she never saw a feather duster again. How Immortals created so much dust she'll never know, maybe she was just the first one to really clean the place since they stopped allowing humans onto the premises. If they ever sorted out this Ox Corp business, the first thing she would do was hire a maid, maybe two because she was never doing that again. She had ensured every wardrobe in the house was full of various clothing not knowing if anything had survived from Lacrimosa. She had no idea what kind of belongings if anything they would arrive with but at least everyone would have fresh clothes upon their arrival and something to drink. It was the least she could do given what they had all been through.

Death Manor wasn't always their home, Rose Lodge was where her mother had raised her and her brother. Unfortunately Oxen Corp destroyed that home, there wasn't even a stone to mark where the best years of her life lay buried. They to had come to Death Manor after losing their home. It still never truly felt like home not in the way that Rose Lodge had but Death Manor had protected them and it was the only home her younger sister had ever known and now it was to be home to another family. It wasn't the one she had imagined and she certainly had never expected to be leading it, that was always supposed to be Marcus, although her brother had proved that he was more stable of late which was a relief given how her list of priorities were set to change. She needed her brother at her side now more then ever to support her going forward. She couldn't afford to take him into the wilderness for weeks on end to recover again. Not now.

Having called back as many of her own family that she could, she anxiously awaited the arrival of... well anyone. So far no one had showed up which only added to her worry. Maybe she should of sent Knigh with Ajax to help like she had wanted too. She would have managed the blood runs alone despite the fact she would never have let Marcus or Destiny go alone. Then, she always had a tendency to be more reckless with her own life then with the lives of others. " Marcus.. Destiny? Are you guys ready yet? " she asked as checked on the food in the kitchen once again. She had never really cooked before, she watched her mother do it once or twice but she didn't see what the big fuss was. A recipe was just a set of instructions and so far it seemed to be working as she shut the oven door again. " Maybe I'll hire a chef along with those maids.. " she muttered to herself as she did her best not to dirty her outfit or the kitchen, that was in pristine condition despite the huge meal she had been preparing for and hoped to never have to do again, at least not alone.

Walking toward the foyer, she caught the reflection of herself in a large mirror. She paused as she fixed a stray hair to blend into the dark, straight waist length hair that hung down her back. She adjusted the waist length bolero jacket that she wasn't crazy about but she wanted to put her best foot forward and look somewhat respectable seeing as a horde of far older vampires were abou tot descend upon her home. But still, there was something missing. Smiling, she pulled out the lipstick tube from her pocket and began to apply the signature pink lipstick she was rarely without. The same pink that was now brandished the back of Ajax's hand in the form of a tattoo of her lips. She still couldn't believe that Ajax blindly accepted a tattoo let alone liked it. But he had taken such joy in seeing it and given the venture they were both about to embark on, she was glad they had that day together. She doubted there was going to be many more days like it in the foreseeable future.

Post by Ajax Matashina on Wed 25 Jan 2017, 22:03

It had been an arduous task tracking down his wayward members or at least the members he knew he could find. Not many of them seemed to have been where they were supposed to be considering for the most part he had kept them all up to date on his plans to move them to The Black Woods.
It had annoyed him and that annoyance was one he intended to address. He did not accept foolish or dangerous behaviour from his coven members and he would have to once again let that be known, but he had stayed his hand. There were more urgent matters at hand. He needed to get them all safe and sound to Death Manor without so much as a hiccup.

It had taken some time and drained a lot of his energy to do but Ajax managed to get them all there without incident. He had used his art of illusion to cloak them all into a human guise and yet even then the coven master had made them all follow him down paths not well travelled and terrain the probably would have chosen to avoid were they travelling alone.

But it paid off. Death Manor now stood before them all, his coven members behind him. Soon they would be one. Crossing the threshold would solidify the two covens into the family he had promised them all. It would be the start they all needed and he hoped with Hope at his side he would be able to loft them up to heights they had not before been able to achieve. But over all he wanted to ensure and offer them safety and happiness.

“Well folks..” he turned to glance at them all with a small smile. He hid his nerves but he felt them as keenly if not more so then any others. Everything was riding on this and he just hoped that his coven would be able to do what was needed and form bonds with the Death coven. It was their own survivals at risk. He had put to much into all of it for it to slip through his fingers now.
Looking over one and all he nodded, He trusted them and now he was putting that trust to the test the same way he had often been tested and for the most part managed to pull through as best he could.
“Here we go”

Wrapping his knuckles once against the door to give Hope a warning they had arrived he pushed it open, holding it to allow his coven members to file into the building in their own time. It had been a long and cold nights walk, he was sure they were grateful for the warmth their new home offered them. “Welcome home” his smile was wide as he looked upon them all, urging them to have a look around the foyer as Hope came to meet with them.

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by Marcus Death-Reign on Wed 25 Jan 2017, 22:12

Recently Marcus had been spending a lot of time around the house. The opposite of what he had been doing before. He knew he was needed even if only to be a shadow in the place. Hope needed to know he was around and that he was there for her, to support her when and if she needed him.
He had grown in strength by the day, his mind and body as sound as it had been for a long time and he wanted Hope to know that. He had been trying to prove himself. He had even been spending time with Destiny, putting in the time and carrying out his duty as the older brother whilst trying to bond with her in an attempt to forgive what she had done firstly to his sister but then to him. It was a discomfort he felt guilty for feeling, especially since Destiny had taken Plague's life and freed them all from his disgusting clutches.

Having helped Destiny with some fancy ass hair-do she wanted he had returned to his room showering before dressing in his Sunday best. Black suit pants and a emerald green shirt which not only matched his eyes but starkly contrasted his red hair.
Straightening himself out he heard Hope shouting for them and shouted a rely informing her all was to plan and they were all fine. She had so much stress the last thing she needed was to worry about the two of them. He could at least shoulder that.

“Eh Fin ol' boy. It all changes today” leaning over he tapped the glass of the fish tank, watching his beloved pet chase and splash around in the ripples before he straightened up, took one last look in the mirror before leaving his room.

Wondering the hall to Destiny's room he tapped on the door. “I'm going downstairs now, hurry up dweeb” he smirked hearing her protest and speed up all at the same time.
“Clocks'a'ticken” chuckling to himself he left her there jogging down the hallway until arriving at the stairs, just in time to.

Ajax was opening the door and his troops started piling in. He slowed a pace wanting Hope to reach them first. After all she was to be their leader not him.
Glancing down the railing he caught sight of his sister and his slow walk stopped all together, allowing her to take the lead that was rightfully hers.

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by Knigh on Wed 25 Jan 2017, 22:26

Parties really were not Knigh's thing, there were plenty of things that he considered to be a discomfort to his existence and parties were up there somewhere near the top of the list. It wasn't because he disliked others enjoyment, he actually rather liked it when others were happy and it wasn't because he discouraged others from letting loose. It was more that he was as antisocial as an ancient arthritic bull dog and as OCD as a medical student. The thought of mingling with a group of people he did not had him ill at ease added with the thought that these people were moving in and that they would all bring clutter and mess with them did a number on his head. His order, his minimalistic ways would soon be shaken and it made him feel silently ill.

He had how ever agreed straight away when Hope had come to him with her news of Ajax's offer and her proposal to merge. He saw the value of it and the potential of it. They would be safer and he hoped that in the long run they would find themselves at peace. His discomfort and loathing of the situation paled in comparison to the good that would come from it. He would just have to put on his big boy pants and get on with it.

The morning had been spent cleaning up his own personal space that had been carved out for him in the family home. This place would be off limits to anyone else. Unless they wanted bone broken. It would be his fortress of solitude, one day he had hoped Ketzu would join him there but that seemed more unlikely with every day that passed, Ketzu not having acknowledged him since his return from Mayhem.

He had dressed in black jeans and a wool grey jumper, each fitted to his body neatly, his hair braided back in the usual style. He had made some effort yet stayed true to his usual look.
Hope would only scald him had he turned up covered in the blood of their foes dragging weapons behind him.

The sound of the door had his attention and he moved out of his safe space. Deciding to go straight to the dining room and wait there for the others.

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by Enya M on Wed 25 Jan 2017, 23:20

Enya knew Ajax had not been happy to find her at the circus. She should have been tucked safely at The manor and waited to be escorted to the New land, but.....well tonight she would not disappoint. Her fiery red hair was almost tamed in an up do of sorts. The long tresses still tumbling past her shoulders. She wore a simple black dress, leggings and black pump shoes. Her make up was light, only enough to make her eyes pop and the light pink shade of the gloss on her lips shine.

As she stood behind Ajax in the small group her left hand reached to twist the black and orange bracelet around her wrist. Nerves.

She had been anxious and scared if this day and now it had finally arrived. She was used to being in front of the crowd performing for them but rarely did She strike up
a conversation with them
She breathed deeply to try to settle her nerves. So this was there new home? Breathing out softly, She envisioned good things knowing Ajax would not steer them wrong. This
..would be good. As the door opened she physically had to make herself stop with the bracelet, she smoothed her hands down her dress. She looked to her brother for reassurance. This was it.

Ajax had found him alone in the house back in Lacrimosa. He could tell with ease that the coven master was less then impressed with him upon their meeting and even more so when he learned that Enya had gone off for a job without him so much as stopping her.
Matthew wondered how he knew that they had been out partying but he had not questioned him, it seemed his sire always knew such things. When ever they stepped out of line in the slightest way old Ajax was always there to guide him back with a steady and some times harsh hand.

He had expected some form of lecture, or punishment but none had come. Other then the obvious annoyance nothing was said so Matthew kept his mouth shut and just did as he was asked, making sure to also keep Enya out of trouble while they had followed Ajax from their home to what would be their new home.

He and Enya were not like the others. They held no sentimentality towards the old place, at least he didn't. He had seldom spent more then a fortnight there at a time, his heart for the open world. He lived to explore, to find new things.
This merger seemed somewhat like a cage to him, Ajax wanted him home and that in itself felt like a life sentence to someone used to having all the freedom the earth offered.

Death Manor was dark and large, not unlike the Matashina coven other then the fact it looked some what more ominous. He tried to ignore the negativity he felt towards it as they walked through into the hall way, filing in at Ajax silent request.

Returning a small smile towards Ajax he nodded, the words 'Welcome home' feeling like a stamp that had just sealed his fate.
"Home, huh" he shrugged glancing at Enya to make sure she wasn't about to burn the place down or something else spectacular and attention grabbing.

Post by Kenshu Death on Fri 27 Jan 2017, 09:59

Since returning she had kept to her room and to herself only seeing Hope when the girl kindly popped into her room to check on her or to fill her in on what was going on with the Merger between the Death-reign's and the Matashina's, a merger she was happy to go along with seeing as even though by blood she was a Death through and through she had also spent a long many years living as part of the Matashina coven and she considered them to be an extended part of her family.

Leaving the room had been a bit much for her as she had worked to come to terms with Plague's death and the implications it had upon her and the sanity she had been briefly awarded. The knowledge that Vaughan was still out there and still a monster was something she found very hard to cope with especially now she knew he had done it all to save her. She had been trying to work out again and again how to return the gift and save him but she kept coming up blank, he seemed to want to stay the way he was. On top of all of that she knew her family here needed her and she had been working on it, rebuilding the mental barriers that had taken her centuries to form allowing her to block the lesser spirits from entering her mind.

The meal was something that made her nervous but it was also something she knew she really needed to attend. She needed to support the kids, most of all Hope and she had managed to talk herself around. It would be nice to see her old friends from the Matashina coven even though the thought of learning who had passed away at the hands of the humans made her sick, she dreaded to think of those she had lost, the faces of her friends one of the other constants in her mind.

Standing before the mirror she brushed her dress down. Usually she would have gone for floaty white dresses or ones of hippy like styles with floral patterns but today was different, today she had to represent them all, especially the older generation of her family. KnOT was dead, God only knew where any of her other siblings were.
The dress was figure hugging and a deep purple, floor length with a slit up the side to meet her thigh. Her hair was loose with strands tucked behind her ears.
She wore no make up, she never did, her skin naturally white as marble, her lips a light hue of red.

Taking a breath she watched herself for a moment before sweeping herself away from the reflection to leave the room.
She would find Hope and help her introduce the other's to their new home.

Post by Skymere on Fri 27 Jan 2017, 14:49

Skymere nodded to Ajax as they were welcomed into their new home. He stood slightly stiff feeling completely uncomfortable with all of these people, luckily he knew Shoe was here also otherwise Sky may have postponed his little introductions to the new merged coven. There were faces he didn't know already, being the loner type, he only really came to Ajax when he was needed, other than that he did his own thing and stayed away from them. However, he was called here today as a member of the Matashina coven and he took a deep breath, burying his chin around his scarf. He had dressed up a little and wore a suite, but the scarf was still there, looking a little out of place.

He looked around at the faces old and new, surveying their features and leaked emotions. This merger was a good thing, for all of them. Especially now with the growing power of the Oxen corporation slowly suffocating them all. Sky walked through the open door, meeting eyes with Ajax for a brief moment and then began to look around the entrance of the manor. He had known Hope for a long time now but he had never been inside this place before, it felt odd now and he would miss the old coven building with Ajax just for it's sheer size, it meant he didn't bump into anyone very much. Here, it seemed like that would be a common thing. He was very much out of his comfort zone and it showed.

Ryu originally was not going to be a member of this newly formed coven, he was going to go his own way but Marcus had asked him to be and Ryu could not say no. It wasn't like he was doing anything else these days, and perhaps being a part of this new family would be just what he needed. He would need to get used to not being the one in charge however and that was a long habit to break.

Ryu had been gone for a few days needing his own space for a bit, that had been when Marcus had asked him about this, so it was short notice, but here he was. Ryu had cut his hair shorter than it had been before, exposing his strange eyes and marked skin even more, but this merger would bring together many weird and wonderful people, so it didn't matter anymore, he felt like he did not have to hide what he was with them. He wore a black fitted suit, this being a formal occasion, his hair was tied back and out of the way, he still had the air of someone with money and royalty, it was something he couldn't shake, yet he remained placid in his expression.

He made his way to the manor, parking up and seeing that Ajax and his people were already there. He would wait for them to all go in and then follow, making his introductions and then he would probably find Marcus and sit with him.

Ketzu woke to a lot of voices and banging around. He groaned and rolled himself out of bed, sitting on the side and grabbing his head a moment, wondering what the hell he had been doing last night. He shrugged, probably best not to know, the last thing he remembered was getting into a fight at a bar. He glanced down at his cut up knuckles and clenched and unclenched his fist a moment. Standing he stretched, ''Oh fuck.'' He suddenly remembered the merger meeting was today, ''Fuck.'' He hurried around the room grabbing some smart looking shirt and jeans and ran for the shower knowing full well that if he missed this Hope would murder him where he stood. He had never showered as fast in his life, he was impressed with himself as he pulled on his clothes and scruffed up his hair. He looked in the mirror and he looked pretty decent considering how quickly he had got ready, ''ehhh.'' He shrugged again, he had his mother's looks after all, he could pull it off.

Ketzu coughed, straightened himself up and opened his door, looked at his feet and quickly went back into his room again, ''mother shit...'' He didn't own smart shoes, ''God damn it.'' It was on his list to buy that he never would buy, but he knew how important this was for Hope. He grabbed his smartest looking boots and shoved them on, heading out of the room and making his way downstairs to see who he presumed was Ajax and his people already flowing into their new home. ''Ummm.'' He started and then stopped and walked the rest down in silence, Hope should be first to speak to them he thought and so he stood there and smiled a little to Ajax and the others and waited, feeling like he would rather be anywhere but here right now.

Post by Shoebox on Fri 27 Jan 2017, 16:25

He would pretty much follow Ajax where ever he wanted to go, the man had taken him and Sky in with a no questions asked attitude and always gone out of his way for them should they have needed him to.
He had been allowed the freedom to do what he wanted but always knew that he had a home. That was enough to make him loyal to the Matashina coven claiming it to be his own.
The Merger was a brilliant idea for him, he knew others probably would find it hard but he didn't really understand the depth of those emotions. It would keep them safe, they would be together and there would be more of them. Sounded Rad.

The walk bad been a bore, all they would have had to do was wish and he would have taken them there in an instant but it never happened. He supposed that at least they got to see the scenery and looking like other people for a while was fun. A role play game of sorts, he had taken what little enjoyment out of it he could. The others were quiet and nervous yet he thought this was all great. Of course he was sad for those that had died, of course that was a given but he wished now to look ahead, brighter things were coming. He could feel it.

“Yay” he slapped Skymere on the back as they walked into the hall way, a girl who he assumed to be Hope was the first one he saw as he walked in by Ajax. Twisting around he tilted his head back taking in the whole room including the ceilings, his mouth slightly agape at the style of it all. Portraits upon most of the walls of serious looking vampires. It all seemed very proper, very formal.
“Home sweet home... dibs on the biggest room” he grinned looking from one to the other until he again slapped Skymere on the back a little to excitedly. “Isn't this going to be fun”
Once again, as always DjinnShoe seemed to have missed a memo. Everyone else seemed close to misery yet he looked as though his birthday and Christmas had come all at once. “There best be a place for my car though...” he whispered aimed at Sky “Or I'll be hella mad”

That's when he remembered it. “Oh... yeah...” he started to laugh “Hope.. Hope isn't it? Hello Hope” he ignored an irritated look from Ajax “Before this whole thing kicks off do you have some stables. Or a shed...Or anything that can house a Llama. I wouldn't want Jerry to get cold”

R O M A N
Vampire

In the small but comfortable room, Roman admired his own appearance before heading down to greet the newcomers to the Manor. He was rather looking forward to their arrival having been somewhat of an insider himself. He sort of fell into life with this strange family, having no ties to them other then the need for survival. They were all related somehow, Roman was beginning to get confused between them all and when Cass and Destiny disappeared he saw little need to be there. However with news of Destiny's return, he had made his way back to the Manor if only out of curiosity about what had had happened to the youngest Death. Since his return he had kept pretty much to himself, keeping an eye on Destiny from afar and assisting Hope when she needed it.

But now the day had come and Roman was ready for some fresh faces. Hope thought that he and Ajax may get along and she had told him a little about what to expect. They were apparently much like the Death's. A large respectable coven although they did not seem to be as biologically related as the Matashina Coven was. She explained that their were twins running it, Roman found the similarity in the fact that Hope was now in charge amusing given that she herself was a twin. But the experience was much needed. Cass, despite her demonic condition, had kept this house functioning and her children alive although her concern never went as far as the others. Without her, the children had been struggling, surviving but struggling and whether Hope cared to admit it or not, she needed the help.

Walking down the hallway, he passed Destiny's room and stopped. Of all of them, she was the most vulnerable. It was only recently that he understood why Cass had treated the way she had although that was no justification. She hadn't ever really met anyone outside their small nucleus and might be nervous about the strangers coming into her home. Unlike the twins, Death Manor was the only home she had ever known. Rapping his knuckles on her door he leaned against the frame waiting for Destiny to open her door. He wouldn't dare enter. He smiled as she answered. " Hey, want to meet the new guys together? " he asked holding out his arm like the gentleman he was, ready to escort her downstairs.

Reaching the top of the staircase, he had a good view point to look down on those arriving. He wasn't important in the grand scheme of things so he would wait until the rest of the introductions had been made before introducing himself. Honestly, they looked as nervous as Hope had earlier although he couldn't say he blamed them. He had been the same when he first discovered who they were. The name Death wasn't exactly synonymous with friendless and hospitality although Hope seemed to be doing her best to change that. The temptation to test just how gracious Hope was willing to be was certainly playing on his mind but not even he was willing to push his luck with her, not today. Besides, he thought the strange fella looking for a stable for his Llama would do that without his help.

I really hope I can keep track of the posting order here. If it comes back around to me and im slow on it, someone message me please.

Crazul had follows Ajax to the mansion, and, after a fair bit of hesitation on his part, had managed to make himself enter it. Though he was able to make himself enter the house, it was essentially beyond him to go very far from the wall. Instead, he watched everyone else as they milled around.

sorry its short, my muse is absent me

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by StareNation on Sat 28 Jan 2017, 06:29

*This post comprises of characters – Caine, Nathaniel and Asha Dimitru*

Death Manor had been visited off and on by various members of the Dimitru family in the past, some of the brothers having histories entwined with Death family members. Asha more recently had spent time recovering at the manor after Vaughan’s attack but for the last couple of days she had taken time out with Caine and Nathaniel to head into town and discuss the problems they were facing. Caine was not himself and refused to speak on what was going on with Sauri since Ajax had requested his allegiance to the merger. If he couldn’t be out looking for his fiancé then he had to focus intently on something else to keep from bringing her to the forefront of his mind. Nathaniel was quick to remind everyone of his lifestyle and the fact that he was missing a grand adventure by having come home though after Asha had spoken of the incidences surrounding their family even he had to admit there was cause for concern. He hadn’t seen Vaughan since the last time he was at the Dimitru house and back then things had gone south real quick considering the fight between Romal and Vaughan.

Caine was aligned under the Matashina Coven through his engagement to Sauri Matashina. He was and would always consider himself belonging to the Dimitru family however he had begun to live a life involved with Sauri and that meant he would devote his life to her and serve the family she came from. Though in the past he had not always seen eye to eye with Sauri’s brother Ajax, they both agreed that this merger would be integral to the survival of the immortal races. His heart was wounded with the news that Sauri was missing and presumed dead and it took every ounce of strength throughout the day to stay and be a part of the merger while Sauri was out there somewhere. Having given only the bare minimum information to his siblings Caine focused solely on the merger this night, ordering his siblings to attend and show support. While Vaughan had bought the Dimitru’s their own home to reunite them under one roof, he knew the importance of bringing numbers in on the merge of the two covens and as such the Dimitru family would lend their support. It would be without Romal and Vaughan in light of recent events, Vaughan no longer an ally and Romal missing, captured by the Oxen Corporation.

“This bloody thing feels like I’m about to be hung” Nathaniel groaned as he pulled at the fabric around his neck, a slim black tie which accompanied the fitted suits both he and Caine wore.
“Stop acting like you’ve never worn a suit before, this is a formal event” Caine muttered as he walked beside his brother, wearing the same styled fitted suit and black tie. Nathaniel had grown so accustomed to getting about in ridiculously loud looking shirts and singlets that were a far cry from the days when the Dimitru boys had lived with Criston. Despite their reputation for causing nothing but chaos and drama, they knew how to be respectful and present themself in a professional matter. They headed for Death Manor through the black forest, looking out of place amongst the scenery. Ahead of them the manor had come into view and Caine could see that the members of the Matashina coven were gathering at the entrance.

“Good, we are on time” Caine murmured, anxious to get through the merger party so that he could focus on other topics at hand. Perhaps with the alliance of the Death and Matashina coven, he might be able to find someone who had helpful information for him. As Nathaniel slipped just ahead through the gate and Caine followed their eyes both laid upon the back of their sister who stood off to the right of the entrance, dressed in a deep navy blue strapless ombre dress which faded into a bright turquoise colour. Asha had combed her hair out straight and was perhaps the first time her brothers had seen her wear something so feminine.

There was nothing to do but nervously press the tips of her fingers against each other as Asha stood to the right of the Death manor doors behind Ajax and the other Matashina coven members. Though she was staying at the manor it was more appropriate for her to join the others since the formalities involved the covens being introduced by their respective leaders. She still couldn’t believe that her friend Hope was leading the Death coven after all there were so many of the older Death family members around. She loved Hope but she hoped that with leading the coven it wouldn’t ruin Hope’s inner spirit, the fun loving and wild girl she had met a good year or two ago. She was nervous more than usual and the only reason she had gone to the event was because Caine was adamant on it. She felt awful for him having to be here and knowing that Sauri was not about. She wanted to support him but she dreaded running into Kenshu.

She remembered the last time she had seen Hope’s aunt and swallowed hard at the thought that she would run into the woman. Sure she had to eat humble pie after copping a beating from Vaughan despite Kenshu having warned her but she did not want to admit the fault in her plans. Asha had gotten so deep into her thoughts that a painful pinching sensation on the back of her arm prompted her to whirl on the spot with a snarl and glare, Nathaniel behind her with a most stupid grin on his face.
“Ow!” Asha scowled as Nathaniel gave a hushed chuckle, Caine beside them both with a stare.
“Don’t even start, remember how important this shit is” Caine sneered as Asha lowered her brow and let out a sigh. She held onto her pewter clutch purse and looked ahead to where Ajax began to lead the coven members into Death Manor, her stomach churning as she took the first steps in behind Mathew and Enya. Caine and Nathaniel followed behind her, Nathaniel pausing a few metres in to take a long stare around the entrance.

“Jeez after all these years Death Manor never seems to change’ he commented and glanced over to Caine who had moved passed, more concerned with listening to the conversations than taking in the scenery. Asha moved through beside Caine, her eyes fleeting from person to person in the hopes she would find Hope but hesitant seeing as she would be busy with all the formal customs. She thought about speaking to Ajax later in the night, she had not seen him for a few months and it was important to keep up appearances.

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by Destiny Death on Sun 29 Jan 2017, 09:59

For Destiny things had been quiet on all fronts and she had loved it. For a change she was not being ignored or belittled  by ones she loved. She had now been accepted for the most part, even by Marcus who had kept her at such lengths before.
She had managed to relax her worries that any second she would be kidnapped by a merry band of demons and dragged back to what remained of Mayhem to become demon kinds 'Next big thing'
She had actually been relaxing. Her shyness had for the most part kept her in her room but after what she had been through she had enjoyed that where as before she would have seen it as a prison.
She had been spending time with her new bird, she had yet to settle upon a name for usually calling him Pretty Boy, she had also been catching up on her chick flicks and books, her siblings having arranged for her to have such things now in her rooms.

As well as her brother and sister Roman visited her often, Knigh and Kenshu from time to time. All in all she was well on the road to recovery by the time Hope had arranged the Matashina coven to actually move in.
She like the others thought it was a really good idea but of course the news she would have to learn to interact with a large number of new people on a daily basis had worried her. Even more so that they would all be living together and there would be no escape from them should she find the interactions to much. She had tried not to dwell overly upon it.

But the day had come. As usual with such an event she had crept into Hope's room to borrow something to wear.
She had chosen a floor length ball gown style dress with a flowing skirt and fitted bodice the cut in a V but not one that was overly showy. It had a plain design without much detail and was the colour of pearls.
She had chosen to go without shoes seeing as her feet wouldn't be on show anyway, high heels were risky, she was not used to wearing them and couldn't handle the thought of falling over in front of everyone.

Looking in the mirror she was combing through her hair which had only seemed to become whiter as time went on when Marcus started to thump upon the door. She smiled glancing up in the reflection in the doors direction before she went back to the task at hand. Laughing she rolled her eyes at the nickname, at least he seemed to be in a better mood.
“I'm coming....Go away...Privacy please!” she called back with a light laugh as she put the comb down fluffing her hair out.

Staring at herself she sighed. Compared to Hope she looked plain. That was always something she had actually liked seeing as attention was something she was uncomfortable with. But tonight she wanted to make an impression. She wanted to stand beside her siblings and support Hope and look as strong and confident as she knew how to.
A small part of her also wanted to impress Roman... her thoughts drifted a flush coming to her face in embarrassment as Roman knocked at her door making her feel like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar.

“Hold on” grabbing up a striking red lip stick Hope had given her on her 16th birthday before everything bad had happened she quickly applied it watching how such a small thing totally transformed her face, causing her eyes to almost glow out in their paleness.

Rushing over she swept the door aside offering Roman a shy grin as he smiled at her and offered to escort her down, not unlike the men in her romance novels, she fought not to blush once more as she nodded and left her room to walk with him down to the others. The older she got the more attracted she found herself to him but she was afraid, God only knew what Hope would do... and of course Roman, he might not even like her. It could all be pity and she didn't think she could cope with that sort of rejection.

Linking her arm through his she followed, feeling safer and more confident being close to him. Her worries about seeing the others lowered to a more manageable level as they reached the staircase leading down to where everyone now gathered as the new coven members entered through the main doors, Hope there to greet them as the rest of her family gathered all looking more uncomfortable then she had seen them in a while... other then one seemingly mad guy that raved on about a Llama making her giggle under her breath hoping that no one heard her.

She would have happily stayed there with Roman in silence until she remembered that she was probably supposed to be doing something. She was Hope's sister after all. Trying not to look like a deer in head lights she let go of Roman's arm and stepped a few steps in front of him, closer to the group but still very close by hoping him being close would comfort her.
“Hello, everyone” she smiled her voice just loud enough for them all to hear.

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

H O P E . D E A T H - R E I G N
Vampire || Wraith

The sound of his knuckles on the door made Hope's stomach drop. This was it. There was no turning back now as she made her way to to the foyer where they would all enter. She left the kitchen at a quick pace not wanting to run and look disorganized but wanting to meet them as they entered. She thought that she should be the first person they see seeing as they would have to living under her rules. How she was going to command the respect of the Matashina Coven she didn't know yet. She had recently only started  being respected by her own family. The wild child image was a hard one to shake especially when she didn't particularly want to shake it. She was still trying to adjust to her new role, from problem child to leader and thus far she was not enjoying the pressure that came with the role. She hoped that at some point Ajax might give her some insight into how to cope with the strain of title.

Hope reached the foyer in time to hear Ajax welcome them home. It was strange and almost against Hope's nature to let a group in. For years, the charms around the house had kept them safe. Invisible to the mortal eye, humans had not been on the property in years and Hope had very rarely let other immortals inside. It was every person for himself and she didn't trust another to not rat them out to Ox Corp in order to save their own necks. So to see a large group enter like this went against every survival instinct she had but she ignored them. Telling herself that this was the best not only for her family's survival but for the Matashina Coven too. Their loss had been great and if they were susceptible to such loss, what chance did she and her siblings have against the organisation? She had no choice but to regroup and hope that safety would come in numbers.

She smiled as Ajax, wondering how genuine the smile was on his face. He hardly seemed nervous at all as he ushered the remains of his Coven in. Thankfully she couldn't say the same for those who entered. They seemed as uncomfortable and nervous as she was and oddly she found that somewhat comforting. If there older, more experienced vampires were uneasy then her feelings were more then justified and suddenly the anxiety in her stomach were lessened. It reminded her of something her mother had said to her and Marcus as children when they were scared that Ox Corp was going to come and get them. " They are more scared of you then you are of them. " It was only as Hope grew she realised how true that was and it seemed somewhat applicable here. They had someone new to answer too and they were more nervous then she was.

Spotting Skymere, Hope smiled toward him, relieved to finally know he was safe. She had wondered if he had survived the attack and of course there was Asha who Hope had help nurse back to health after Vaughn had attacked her. She was with two other vampires, presumably her other brothers. It was only then she realised Vaughn was probably going to become her issue now they were living under her roof. It was frustrating given that she had only just washed her hands of Plague and now they had another demon to deal with. She wondered if this family would ever be truly rid of it's demons or if it was going to be one after another coming after them and taking their loved ones with them. She stopped her train of thought there. If it progressed any further she would only think of her mortal mother currently in Saints City with Karne, whom had yet to make an appearance. Her siblings still had no idea she was alive and for now, she intended to keep it that way.

She waited for the entire of the group to enter and slowly members of her own family appeared. Marcus, Ketzu, Roman, Destiny, Kenshu and Knigh in the other room being his usual anti social self. It gave her some confidence to know that her family stood with her in this. They more then anyone knew of her flaws and the fact that they trusted her to do this even with that knowledge was reassuring, especially from the likes of her aunty Kenshu who had been around during KnOT's reign. Surprising, Destiny was the first of her family to speak which made Hope swell with pride. She was really starting to come out of her shell and come into her own and the fact that she spoke first proved it. Now if she and Roman would finally stop pretending that they weren't crazy about each other, Destiny might finally become the woman Hope imagined her to be.

She parted her lips to speak the well rehearsed message she had prepared. Unfortunately she was interrupted by a strange character, the only one who seemed excited to be there. He seemed rather attached to Sky and Hope smirked wondering how he felt about that. They had spent a great deal of time in Lacrimosa together, he was still wearing the boots she had gotten him while there although they now looked like they needed replacing. This character seemed a far cry from the kind of person he would of enjoyed and he was permitted to touch him and he seemed fine. Hope was intrigued and smirked as he addressed her. Her eyebrow raised as he asked about a home for his llama and for a moment was convinced that this was a joke. That the group was pulling a prank to lighten the mood but as she glanced at Ajax wondering who he had brought to her house. " A llama? " she clarified and laughed a little to herself. Of course they brought their pets. She hated pets. " I'm sure I can find somewhere for him. " she said trying to be diplomatic. She couldn't care less about the llama but if it kept the peace she would tolerate it as she had her siblings animals.

Having dealt with that she finally addressed the group, sounding far more confident then she felt. " Now the issue of the llama has been addressed. " she said smiling, hoping her sarcastic humour would lighten the mood a little. " Let me officially introduce myself. I'm Hope and I guess I'll be running the show with Ajax. That over there is my twin Marcus, as you can see I got the brains and the beauty. " she chuckled moving on. " You probably all know my aunty Kenshu. " she presumed this of course given her aunt's history with the coven. " My uncle Knigh, is in the dining room and this is his son Ketzu. " she glanced at him and smirked. " He's our resident guard dog. " she teased although her affection for him was as obvious as her affection for her little sister. " That's Destiny, my little sister and the youngest of us all. " Hope desperately wanted to warn them all from upsetting her but she didn't. Destiny wasn't a kid in need of protection anymore, she would have to start defending herself if she was going to survive in this world. " and beside her is Roman, we keep him around cause he classes up the place. "

Having introduced her family in only a way she could, she avoided mentioning Ryu who was outside and yet to enter the building. How was she going to explain that her ex-boyfriend was living in her house? That the only man she had ever loved, who had broken her heart was residing in her old bedroom like nothing had happened. No, she wasn't about to dig up her past with these people. They didn't need to know that he had chosen some human over her. " So, now introductions are out of the way, I will show you where you will all be staying and then you can introduce yourselves before dinner? " it sounded like a question but Hope was already on the move toward the stairs. At the top is split to the left and right and Hope had already arranged the bedrooms to accommodate everyone. " I have cleared all the bedrooms in the West Wing, you can fight among yourselves for the biggest. " she joked referring to the earlier dibs for the largest room.

" I wasn't sure what you would be arriving with so you will find everything you need in them. Clothes, toiletries, towels...... if there's anything else required let me know and we will see what we have. " What the newcomers didn't know was that this house could probably have survived a nuclear fallout and they would have been able to survive in it quite comfortably for many so long as the blood didn't spoil. It really had become more of an upscale fortress then a home but it met their needs and keept them safe. That's all that mattered. " We'll give you time to settle and meet in the dining room in an hour? It's to your right as you come down the stairs. " she explained knowing that with the exception of Asha and Ajax, none had been in the home before. Standing at the top of the stairs, she would wait till the group picked their rooms and shut their doors before she would go to her room on the East side.

For the comfort of everyone she had divided the different covens on different sides of the home. She wondered if Ajax thought she was separating them and not merging them as promised. But given the trauma his coven had been through with the attack she simply thought they would sleep better with familiar people around them rather then strangers, she knew she would until she had learned to trust them all. Looking over toward Ajax, she tried to gauge his reaction so far. She was trying her best but she knew she was nothing like Ajax. She was younger, blunter and her temper often got the better of her and she had no idea what she was really doing in terms of leading these people. The only person who thought her capable of doing this job was Ajax and so his validation in this moment would mean alot to her as she stood before his people and hoped for the best.

Hope came across the foyer with a rushed pace yet to him she pulled it off well. He could tell how nervous she was but he saw that she was hiding it from the others and he had to admit to himself that she was doing a good job. She greeted them all with a warm smile one which he returned softening his own.
He continued to hold the door open allowing everyone to file though one by one. His attention having left Hope to watch the expressions of his 'family' as they crossed the threshold into a new home and hopefully a new life.
Enya and Matthew were first at his back, as he would have expected them to be as the only members that actually held claim to his blood line.
His anger with them for their previous foolishness for now hidden deep beneath the surface though he fully intended on dealing with the two of them once the dinner party was over. For the moment it was forgotten his main concern was making sure they all settled into the coven and were able to co-exist with the Death members.

Skymere, Djinnshoe and Crazul were the next who came through the door all in close succession, Skymere and Crazul looking nervous and uncomfortable with the whole thing.
The Dimitru siblings then began to file in one after the other but his attention was drawn away swiftly by Djinnshoe spouting off a load of rubbish to Hope about that infernal Llama he made Skymere take everywhere. Frowning at him in anger he glanced to Hope seeing that now the other members of Hope's coven had arrived.
He assumed them to be Marcus, Destiny and Roman and Ketzu from what Hope had told him about them all. Of course he knew Kenshu he offered her a smile but his attention soon went back to Shoe and Hope glad to see that Hope was not to badly thrown off by the whole thing, Shoe would take a little getting used to but she seemed to take him in her stride.

Turning away to close the door he saw another lurking with the car park, nodding to the boy he decided to leave the door open instead in case he wanted to come inside, he obviously knew the place and that this event would be going on.

Hope had handled Shoe with the promise of helping him solve the dilemma with the Llama. She moved on with humour seeming effortless with the transition into her welcoming the rest of his group. He chuckled in response but more at himself for worrying about how she was going to handle the craziness has been met with.
She introduced everyone again managing to keep that humour and he was glad for it in her keeping it light hearted he hoped that it would help to ease them all before the dinner took place.
It had been arranged earlier for them to go off and chose their rooms so they could get refreshed and sorted before the dinner was to take place.

Once she had finished her introductions she started to lead them away while still talking. He had trusted her to deal with this end of things and she had not let him down, having sorted out for them to have their own little area to start with and stocking their rooms up for them. Hopefully home comforts again would aid their transition.
Ushering his group he took to following behind them glad that they did not have to introduce themselves straight away.

Watching the group move before him he trailed behind looking over each of Hope's family once more bowing his head to them each in turn. Hope was not uneasy with him that did not mean he didn't expect any of the others to be. More often then not he tended to put people on edge without so much as trying.

Once they reached what was to be their quarters finally spoke up moving around to stand beside Hope who was leaving it up to each of them to choose their living quarters.
“Go and take a room for yourselves, I will come and get each of you when it is time” he informed them waiting for them to move away before he turned to look at Hope.
“Thank you, Hope” he smiled placing a hand upon her shoulder before he started to walk away intent on finding what ever room had not been taken by one of the others.
“I will see you in an hour”

Watching them all come inside one by one was like watching a funeral procession, each one dressed in mainly dark clothing with miserable or concerned looks upon their faces, it was a little disconcerting but he didn't really know what else he was expecting, after all they had just had to leave everything they knew behind including the bodies of their loved ones. The threat of Ox Corp had disfigured each and every one of them badly and he could certainly understand how that felt.
Most of them he did not know but he recognised Asha and of course Ajax.

He hadn't spoken, nor was he going to. This was Hope's gig he just wanted to be there for him should she need him. Her nerves were setting off his own no matter how hard he tried to block them and it made him feel somewhat bad for her.
The party life where they would both sneak out to the club and worry about having to sneak back in was now long gone and he felt a mourning for it. Life would never again be care free for either of them but especially for Hope and he wasn't sure where he stood on the whole thing. He knew for one that he felt guilty for not having been able to do it himself. If he had gotten his shit together quicker their positions would have been reversed and Hope would have at least had some freedom left.

The introductions came and went quick enough and painlessly even though Hope did poke fun at him.
He had moved aside to allow the new members to get upstairs then he had relaxed his shoulders out from their tensed position allowing a long and quiet sigh to slip between his lips before he looked to where the others were.
“That's it then” he chuckled shaking his head as he moved to walk away, deciding that going to the kitchen would probably be the best idea. That way he could at least help Hope with dishing up the food and arranging the plates once she had come back down stairs.

“Don't just stand there looking pretty you lot” he called behind him “Things need to be done”

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

Post by Enya M on Tue 31 Jan 2017, 21:36

As she entered the home her eyes swept across the vast stair case the walls and grandeur of the room they filed into. Soon the members of the death covenant started coming out. They all seemed relatively young except for the aunt kenshu and the uncle. The introductions came and went and before she knew it she was following the rest up to the stairs and down one of the wings of the mansion to find a room. Their small crowd dispersing. She found her self letting them take the first couple of them while she went to one on the left down at the end of the hall. She turned the knob and pushed open the door. She was pleased with The color and all it had to offer
She walked further into the room drawing her hands up to form a box with her Fingers. Hmmm hmm that would total work and that will go there...she walked around and checked many things already prepping her room for when her things would arrive
She would have this starchy hotel room looking more like her in no time. She just had to wait for her small shipment of things...hopefully that didn't poss off the death covenant, but she wanted her things. She already found the cat a home before she left, not wanting to cause ire with her New house mates. Her eccentric self will be housed in the room that she would call hers. Now that she figured out how her room would be decorated, she set the small bag she carried on the bed that held her toiletries and went to freshen up after there journey here. She was also glad Ajax was super busy, he hadn't scolded her for leaving on her own, but she knew It was a matter of time. She would not bore him with the details of why She did what She did, She would just except what was to come...

Post by Skymere on Thu 02 Feb 2017, 11:35

Everyone who needed to be there, seemed to be there. Skymere raised a brow as Shoe went off on one about Jerry the llama. He shook his head to himself at the mention of a stable, knowing the damn creature would invade whichever room Sky took for his own. He noted Hope watching his interactions with Shoe and realised how strange it might have seemed. Sky being who he was, but Shoe was important to Sky and not just because he could help Sky control his powers, but because he had never, not even once looked at Sky like he was evil. No, Shoe was his friend, even though he was annoying at times.

Sky nodded to Hope and then to Ajax in a sort of half apology as he could sense Ajax's anger towards Shoe in that moment. He took his leave as did the rest to find a room for him to live in here. Before he did however, he noticed another who came in behind the rest of them, one who was from the Death side, not the Matashina. Hope had not mentioned him at all and he wondered why. With a small glance between the two, he chose to locate a room downstairs rather than up.

The room he chose was one of the smaller ones, he was not greedy, however he made sure it had enough room for Jerry and a window to the back of the house. He put his bag down, a small duffel bag containing everything he owned and sat on the bed for a moment. If he could, he would have that be it and stay here, but he knew he had to attend the meal. He sighed to himself, standing and leaving his new room, making his way into the dining room to take a seat and wait for it to begin and be over.

Ryu stood just outside of the door and listened to the introductions, coming inside after he was clearly not included in them. He nodded to Ajax and another purple haired male who were the only ones to acknowledge his existence. Hope was clearly never going to except him, and her trying to act like he didn't exist already made her look like an immature leader. Ryu clenched his jaw with a small frown and turned, closing the door behind him and wishing he had said no when Marcus had asked him to stay. It didn't seem like things would go well here for him, the others would pick up on the friction between Hope and himself, and of course they would probably all automatically behave that way towards him also. He ran a hand through his hair before going through to the dining room, leaving the others to find their rooms.

Ryu stood at the window in the dining room with his arms crossed, looking out of the window in silence. He had an air of frustration and sadness surrounding him. Things would Hope were never going to be okay again. As much she hated him, she was the one who had left him first with no word. He had entered the arranged loveless marriage agreement because she had abandoned him, and now he was alone, even in this house full of people, he did not belong.

Ryu would wait for the others to come back in before sitting at the table.

Ketzu grinned as he was called the guard dog in the introductions, it was a good job this little merger had not being going on when he had had his crazy phase. He nodded to some of them as the introductions were finished, noting that Hope had purposefully and spitefully left Ryu out of them. He said nothing however, it was not his place to get involved with broken hearts and all that shit. He shook his head to himself, and turned to follow Marcus for a moment, ''Hey, you should uh, probably mention to them that your girl is not some snack for them.'' He said with a small smirk before making his way into the dining room.

He saw a glum looking Ryu by the window and gave him a smack on the shoulder before choosing a seat at the table. Ketzu sat back, very tempted to put his feet up, but again, he imagined Hope would be very quick to correct his 'behaviour' if she saw him doing that. He would have offered her some help, but she already had some hired help, and he was starving and slightly hungover, it was a miracle he was even awake right now. He leant back with his head looking up at the sealing, ''Uhh.'' He grumbled to himself thinking this was hassle.

Hope was introducing everyone and moved on from the Djinn's little outburst quicker then he probably would. He pressed his lips together to hide the fact that the whole thing tickled him a bit. Rubbing his face he hid the smirk knowing Ajax was annoyed enough with him and that he didn't need to make matter any worse by encouraging Shoe's antics.

Lifting his hand in a small half wave as Hope introduced everyone he looked at each one as she spoke of them seeing their obvious discomfort, a feeling he echo'd about the whole thing yet in ways he was glad that Ajax and Hope had pulled it all off.

As painful as the introduction was Hope for now spared them the same and let them go off to their own area of the coven house so they could choose their own rooms and settle.

Upon arriving in the hallway he watched his sister waiting to see where she chose. The easiest thing he could think of was to choose what ever room was across from her's, so that was exactly what he did.

Pushing the door opened he looked around. The size was fine, the windows were decent, all in all he was not unhappy with it.
Closing it behind him he pulled a zip lock bag from over his shoulder and lay it on the bed, opening it to reveal a tailor made Armani suit.

First stop was the shower, getting dressed then he spent a few moments styling his hair. Nodding once he was happy he looked formal enough to represent Ajax. He was used to such things in the job he had worked prior, at least this part of the change came naturally.

Crossing the hallway he straightened himself out before knocking upon Enya's door to see if she wanted to go back down with him to meet with the others.

Re: Breaking Bread - ( Tag: Members of the Death & Matashina Coven )

He stood upon the precipice to the Blackwood grounds, perhaps no longer being able to be referred to as the Death Estate any longer, the building he looked upon from afar appeared far busier than he’d seen it over the last decade.

In truth, Karne wasn’t certain whether he was going to show up at all. Though this change was a great importance to the survival of the family, Cassandra lay rested back within Saints Stand, the apartment hidden from all books more or less just another human looking home in appearance and Christ knew just how much mortals liked to invade other mortals houses for profit. Still, his daughter now had a large undertaking upon her shoulders and there together with Ajax Matashina, Karne imagined his show of support would mean something. Perhaps not much in these times but something was better than nothing.

The unseen veil that surrounded the Manor was likely completely amiss to those new to the grounds, yet as he paced slowly across the lawn coming from the dark tree line that surrounded the yard, his vibrant crimson eyes were drawn to the outskirts wondering just which of the witches had armed the mother of his children with such strong entities of magicks. She had asked him to speak with Hope, something he would do privately as most did not need to know though perhaps it would be wise, he pondered, that Ajax be there also now with the inclusion of the Matashina Covenant into their household. The two Coven’s coming together like this was a rather rare thing even by Vampire standards, most houses often preferred to keep their own standing, their own rules and traditions and yet in such times of immortal crisis and the near extermination of their race in Arcane, this had been the best play they could all have managed. It was the end-game that this plan was built off of, something that he knew would take time to adjust too, most especially to himself as he now stood outside of the inner circle to the families dealings, yet sacrifices were needed for their on-going survival and relations with the other houses.

Pushing his way through the side entrance into the Manor, he did not wish to make any sort of a fuss with his entrance, rather return to the home that felt incredibly unhomely now after the weeks he’d spent back in Saints Stand, almost foreign to him with the amount of voices he could hear traveling the walls. Separate from the main rooms, he first sought out one of the kitchens, one less tended to with the hope of securing himself a glass. Blood was a delicacy to him these days, he had not been feeding off of live supplements in a great deal of time, not since before Cassandra’s death when he had tried to promise her that he would stop being the cause to so much blood shed and violence. The humans weren’t exactly better off for his abstinence, yet it had grown on him and no longer did he feel inclined to hunt them down night after night. The blood packs that they managed to scrape by on were a worthwhile effort in that regard, meaning traveling the country side for a decent meal wasn’t always a necessity.

The red liquid sloshed about the rounded base of the wine glass as he poured himself a drink from the blood pack, it was far cooler than that from the living body which often made it far nicer to drink. Ever the introvert these days, he found himself considering how unusual his presence might be if anything, the sort of thoughts that you’d expect to cross the mind of someone who was anxious in meeting new people and yet at the same time there was nothing for him to fear, the only real potential harm that could come to him was from Ajax who was superior as far as the Elder blood running through his veins went, and that was only based on the possibility of not having good standing with any of them, which in itself was a lie, he was part of this Covenant, he had been dealing with it’s shit longer than most so why the sudden nerves. Shit, he almost felt human in his questioning himself. His thoughts moved back to Cassandra and soon evolved to envelope both her and their children. There lay the answer clear as day, the importance of the whole ordeal was of course setting the foundation for their children future and with things as tense as they were between Hope and himself, Karne found himself leaning against the counter with the full glass in hand, staring almost directly through the wall and reluctant to leave the isolation that he’d grown so used to. In his own presence, there was no one left to disappoint.
