The machines she was hooked to beeped and buzzed, but as soon as she reeled her energy so he wouldn't feel the pain the scientist inflicted, the machines went crazy registering that small spark of extra energy.

Well now, that's interesting. I wonder what could have happened to make it do that. The scientist mused eyeing the female specimen in his chair who's icey glare at him didn't faze him. He had seen that look on many of her kind before, they acted tough in the beginning but soon that would go away in time.

He tapped his chin in thought. "I think your holding back little duck, but I'll see what your made of.

He whistled as he moved behind and sat the chair back in it'd relaxed position. Still keeping in tune he tightened the head strap that crossed her forehead. He left for a short time but returned with a bucket of water. Placing a towel over her face he hummed gently as he slowly poured the water over her face. Not to slow to were She could catch her breath and not fast to where he'd run out of water. Yes, this pretty duckling would show her powers soon.

Aleria gripped the hand rails, coughing and wheezing. She could not show off her power no matter what. The scientist would tire soon, get bored. She hoped. Her lungs ached but it progressed further until he did eventually run out water.

He frowned disappointed and righted her chair. Then shrugged and wrote more notes in her file.

"We'll move to phase two then."

Panting softly she reached out to him. Her voice was weary as she connected to him.

I'm...alright. Is your leg....better?  Act normal...don't give them an excuse to harm you.

She pushed a feeling of a smile his way as she attempted to give hope

In her peripheral She was as the scientist typed away on his computer.
"Water didn't work...hmmm what's available.. Ah he's busy with one of your friends"

More typing before he wheeled around and patted her knee. "Maybe fire's more your thing.

His foot pushed in the button releasing the wheels, grabbing the back of her chair He wheeled her to the next room locking the chair in place. Again with the same tune, he hummed strolling out of the room. Able to see in, he gave a small smile before rotating the dail to the right, watching as the room lit up......

Sorry for the short length, been at a loss lately.

A buzzer sounded, a large door opened and a massive furry beast lumbered into the large room. His fur was deep black, darker than pitch, which created a strange appearance against the metallic bands running down parallel to the spine. There was one thin band grafted to his skull, along with a metal patch obscuring one of his bright purple eyes. He was put through a few simple tests and motions to begin with, trotting around the large, fairly circular room, destroying a mechanized dummy designed to try fleeing from what was attacking it. None of this was particularly difficult for his command program to execute. Some of the finer motor controls were not quite mapped out and integrated yet, but, the scientist was rather happy with the results of the grafting. The superior officer who was also observing the process was impressed by the display, but, wanted to see a little more. "We have one of his friends, throw her in there, see what you can do." He ordered one of the aides, who nodded and took off at a sprint to relay the order. In relatively short order, the door into the arena opened again, and a rather haggard and roughed up looking woman was half pushed, half thrown into the room with the beast, whose attention was immediately directed towards her.

"Now, ve shall see vat he can do, shall ve?" The scientist asked, giggling at the possibilities.

After a bit more work there was a satisfying give at the spot where her energy was focused. A small crack found it's place in the collar but it still held to her. Perfect, when things settled here she could take some time to see just what was going on in this place. Clearly the humans had the tech to make one's be trapped within them if they were anything less than ancient. The only question now was how would she go about that? It would be impossible to leave the room for a with cameras everywhere and most of the rooms around her were probably made of similar material as her collar. Even so she had an idea that was worth a shot. Gathering her focus she let some energy escape from her and flow within a wide radios around her. The energy was nothing strong, no human could see it or feel it's full effects but an immortal would feel a calming warmth come to them, a gentleness that would tell them everything would be alright, there would be nothing to fear and that they were not alone. It was much like the energy she used in the forest to call the small animals to feed though any who had magic within them would know this was not a sudden calm, this was a soft greetings from a friend who wanted to help in any way they could. As she forced she tried to find out just how many others Oxen had in their clutches and what kind of plans she needed to make.

Ears stood up like solders at attention as he heard Alleria's voice in his mind again. "I'm fine! Thank you, i'm acting as normal as I can and they don't seem to think much of it." It seemed like she was sending more thoughts to him so he was doing his best to do the same. It wasn't easy to be calm in this situation or to give her anything to help like she gave him. He wanted to give her some comfort since she went as far as to heal him but what on earth could he even do? "Go... good luck. Stay strong ok? At least your not alone in here." If only he could pass his luck onto others maybe his words would be more than just a comfort. But sometimes comfort was all someone needed. He was a social creature by nature and to a jackalpe friendship and bonds were everything. It could give you a spark, something to look forward to, something to hope and wasn't the old saying hope could move mountains?

---

Time passed and the scientist seemed to spend less time beside him and more time observing him from her desk and making notes. At least it was peaceful and nice to have some attention. Maybe he could even get this girl to let him loose and he could do some magic there or he could just jump out of his cage and do some exploring and act all cute if he got caught. Or maybe- his thoughts were interrupted as the man who had snipped his antler came back in to stand beside his cage soon joined by the woman who scooted her chair over next to him. "Were going to sequence what we get from the horn and see what his DNA looks like. If they see something they like you know they'll want to test him." The woman scoffed as the man knelt down with a smug look on his face. "I can do all testing here thank you. It's not like we've seen a plague of them in the city like the other brutes." "You say that like he's a pet but he's just a big old lab rat." Lab rat eh? Well Jasper wanted to show the man just how much a 'lab rat' could lash out. In a flash he was in the air spinning and as he landed the man let out a groan as he found himself with a face full of hot wet liquid. "What the hell!" The female sciences couldn't help but laugh. "oh well at least we know he's not someone's neutered pet. Intact males spry." Neutered? Oh boy he didn't like where this conversation was going. If there ever was any ounce of uncanny luck in him... "We could fix that." The male scientist said going to grab a towel and wipe his face. "Or we could do some breeding experiments and see if this is some kind of hereditary mutation." Yes! He didn't care if the breeding happened or not as long as the conversation of having him anything but intact changed. "You'll have to do a lot of paperwork to get that taken care of." The man said as he left to room no doubt to go find a bathroom and wash up. The woman went back to her desk imagining little baby jackalopes and muttering out loud about various theories of being born with horns as Jasper went back to doing his best to act like a simple bunny.

The shift from his human form to the beast form in which he had been bestowed were still excruciating; how ever, through extensive and torturous training, he had learned to tolerate the distress of bones snapping and muscles relocating in the space of thirty seconds or less. That was another thing, Aiden had managed to get the time of his shifting down from a minute and a half, to almost fifteen seconds most times.
The excitement of his first real fight was eminent in the speed in which he went from man to wolf now.
The baron space of the park and empty streets erupted in the sounds of a yell, a battle cry that quickly escalated to a deep throated roar which echoed off the broken buildings. Long, arms swung in front of a sleek and toned body in stretching movements, his breath a fog upon the air despite the absence of chill. Icy blue eyes glowed in the darkness beyond the boundary of flood lights and soldiers stepped back in obvious fear, or perhaps that was his ego telling him that. Either way, he was hungry for the agility, ease and precision this form gave him.
The gargled screams of a comrade filled the empty air as the mans throat was stolen from him and Aiden closed his eyes to listen to the man suffocate on his own life force. It was strange, the pleasure he gained from a sound that once would have disturbed him so.
Filling his air with lungs, the white beast crouched, watching the small wolf as she tore down another of his comrades, a long and dark claw ran sweetly over the bitumen at his feet and he lowered his head, watching the female from the shadow of the concave of his brow.
She was brilliant he surmised, clean in her movements and precise in her aim. He found himself smiling, perhaps Boss would allow him to take her as his own. He almost giggled with delight.
Then, without word, Aiden launched forwards with a rapid gate and within five strides, passed through the flood lights, becoming a sterling white blur as he swiftly closed the distance.
Slender fingers curled into large palms, claws sheathing tightly there as he lowered his left shoulder in charge; eyes burning like brilliant sapphires locked onto his prey. At the last moment, he tucked his head gingerly into his chest, shielding himself from the blow and gave one final lunge, if Kara did not move fast enough, he would pummel his shoulder into the side of her chest.

"Everyone has a chapter they won't read out loud."

Kara had staggered back in reaction to the hard butt of the gun hitting against her ribs, the crack of bone made a sickening crunch as pain radiated from the spot but it only took a fraction of a second for Kara to regain her sense and step menacingly toward the man who had hit her, teeth bared. "Big mistake." she said through a growl as she darted in his direction, grabbing the gun out of his hand with teeth while dodging to the right so she placed herself behind the soldier, her body twisting to face him. Her shift was as quick and effortless as always while bare human feet landed on the ground and red eyes took aim on his back. He had just enough time to turn and look down the barrel of his own rifle with wide eyes full of fear before she pulled the trigger, gunpowder permeating the air around her as the loud boom of the shot rang over the park. His body slumped to the ground almost instantly while she emptied the barrel before chucking the gun off into the distance. "I don't need weapons to kill you all." she mumbled angrily, raising her eyes to look at the group of soldiers who stared back at her with both hatred and apprehension. "Alright, who's next?" she said, standing to her full height she looked defiantly at the crowd.

She was about to move onto the next however a loud bellowing roar was heard over the park and it seemed that everyone stood still, including Kara. If she hadn't known better she thought maybe Blade or Blaze had come to join the fray, but their scents were nowhere to be found when she inhaled to scent the area. Instead, the heavy musk of unfamiliar werewolf stung her nose and turned her attention in his general direction but the sea of light and men blocked the majority of her view. It was as if the soldiers knew, seeing as they one by one stepped out of the way of a massive white creature with eyes the color of blue fire. The scent of fear came from every human soldier that stood in the vicinity mixed with the overwhelming amount of high intensity emotions that crashed against her in the usual waves. She closed her eyes for a brief second to try to block out the onslaught of feelings but her time was cut short. She realized a second too late as his charge was quicker than expected, her human form dropping back into her pelt just as the male was on her and driving her back with a forceful blow to the side.

He hit her side hard as Kara bounced off his body and tumbled backwards, her body sliding to a halt as the dust settled. To say that the attack didn't hurt was a lie, but she would never admit that as she pulled her body from the earth and gave it a good shake to regain her composure. The light was still disorienting and left her to rely on her own fighting skills without her elemental power, but as Kara stood she faced down the brute as if it didn't matter, she'd rather die then be captured. He was a fast as he was big, the force of his blow showing the obvious lycan strength that he possessed. Quickly she calculated and scanned the area, she would need to be faster and dead on in her aim if she were to take the male down. With steady paws she charged back with all the strength her body had, springing from her hind legs to leap up looking as if she was going for the throat. Though she aimed to slip over his shoulder and come from behind, moving to leap onto his back and shift. Her plan was to leap to sit on his shoulders while snapping his neck in one clean movement.

Aleria was thankful for the pain it made her mind unfocused, abd therefore she couldn't think of what the doctor was doing next. It helped tamp down her fear as we'll, But this had to end...didn't it? Soon was strolled in to a room, her blurry eyes looked from one corner of the next, nothing seemed out of place except the rows of nozzles on the floor. She didn't have time to wonder for long as she heard a hissing noise, smelt the fumes and soon the room was full of flames. The temperature rose With each second She was in there. Her wet clothes and hair soon dried and it became unbearable to to breath. The heat formed welts on her skin, turning then raw and bloody. Her fingers curled against the arm rest of her chair as She strained not to scream. She didn't want to give them that.

He watched on as the flames filled the room, as she writhed in her chair trying to escape, how her muscles clenched in her jaw to stop the screams from spilling out. A wrinkled finger pushed the inter com "little wolf, just show me something extraordinary. I know you have something to show me. Once You do this all ends."

The intercom clicked off as he removed his finger from the button.

Aleria stifled a scream as She broke her thumbs on both hands and slid her arms free of the restraints. She reached up and undid the strap to her neck and head then bent down to undo those around her legs. She knew he saw and She was trying to hurry before they came.

She removed the last of The restraints just as the opened and filled with the soldiers that had brought her here. Body covered in burns and sores she painted heavily as She eyed them all.

They advanced as one and She dodged the first blow knocking him to the side but she just wasn't fast enough as the butt of the gun cracked against her face and everything went dark.

......

She felt hands shove her from behind this action waking her. She fell to her hands and knees inside the room, heard the door lock

The crunch of ribs as they retracted and flexed under the force at the butt of his shoulder was excitable and as Kara rolled to a hault, Aiden raised once more. Arms spread wide, fingers curling and flexing as he paused for a breif moment to reflect upon his size and stature in this moment. Those icy orbs watched as the female tumbled upon the ground, and the moment there was pause in her movements, the white lycan launched forward, ripping the air apart with his mighty roar.
Legs pumped viciously under his lean body, digits upon the end of elongated feet spread wide to catch the ground in traction and claws dug thickly into the grass, tearing it from the earth as he propelled forward.
Kara was on her feet faster than he had anticipated and as swiftly as she had recovered, she was running to close the gap between them just as he was. Aiden raise his arm, ready to swipe at the female with claws as big as small knives and as he did so, the female leapt from his grasp, bounding over his shoulder. While his keen eyes kept her within sight, his long body could not keep up as with the sudden movement.
His body twisted in an attempt to keep up with her paces, watching as the fur slipped from her body and a woman began to take shape. His shining teeth slipped from underneath thickly black lips, so white, they were untainted from the blood of enemies due to his newly acquired nature.
He had continued to swivel his torso as she had leapt over him, but in the midst of the sudden misdirection, his footing had slipped, stubbing his toe into the floor and forcing him into a tumble.
His legs fought for their stability, but could not find such a grip. So in a swift adjustment, he tucked his shoulder towards his chest, protecting his arms, and tucking his head under for safety to roll instead of the face plant he had been destined for.
Karas grip slipped over his head, unbeknown to Aiden he had slipped from the grasp of death and hit the ground with a loud thump entering a less than graceful tumble rather than the roll he had been going for.
He recovered quickly, springing upwards and onto his feet in a crouch facing the young woman whom now stood before him in nothing but the clothes she was born in; but as the adrenaline coursed through his veins, the beast barely noticed as he launched back towards her, leaping like a wolf and using all four of his paws to gain speed through traction upon the grassed ground. His shoulders moved witj feline grace, the added momentum of humanesque limbs aiding his posture for ease and lithe movements. At the last moment before the distance was closed between them, Aiden sprung from the ground, aiming to leap at Karas form. Long arms extended he had aimed to catch her head on, hoping that the massive form barrelling towards her would be enough to excite fear and misjudgement in her mind.
If she was not to move out of his path, he would encase her in his grip, squeezing her form tightly in his strong arms and, without protecting either himself or Kara, the two would fly backwards and into the ground, knocking the wind from her lungs.

"Everyone has a chapter they won't read out loud."

"He's big enough to be clumsy. Kara  silently noted as her body moved over Aidens head while missing her intended target. Her body twistedto land in a crouching position facing the brute. She had watched his form stumble upon turning too fast, catching himself with a roll. "lucky bastard, he missed that by tripping.. Kara came to the conclusion that though he was surprisingly fast, grace and balance didn't accompany that. As soon as the male rolled and recovered his footing in a crouch she readied herself. Kara stood with her brow raised at the male, meeting his blue eyes with her own defiant look. Again within a flash the male bolted in her direction, quickly closing the space between them and leaping to engulf her form.

Kara narrowed her gaze, he seemed to be focused on only attack and had little in way of strategy or plan. True to her assumption the male was on the attack as soon as he recovered himself, barrelling straight for her . With his straightforward attack it was easy for Kara to dodge to the right, effectively staying out of his grasp. It wasnt often that Kara used her emphatic abilities but he was no friend so the intrusion into his mind was no concern to the female. She focused on his form and the emotions rolling off him. To her surprise she felt little in ways of rage but instead excitement and thrill at the power he was experiencing. She wasn't sure why one would take joy into capturing or harming others like them but her abilities didn't allow her to see that far into people's minds. She expected him to turn on her again, recovering from her dodge and continuing his attack. Moving back behind the Lycan, Kara shifted again before coming to a stop and facing him.

The look on her face was impassive as eyes glowed red, invisible waves rolling off her body and spreading around her like a ripple effect. She pushed out disorientation in massive amounts, hoping to disable the male long enough to get a heads up on him. With his strength and speed, her normal advantages were at a loss. She could only hope to maneuver around him long enough to tire him out and leave her an opportunity to attack. Kara paid no mind at this point to the soldiers that surrounded them, watching two beast's fight in the open. Kara growled as she stood firmly waiting to see if her power would have enough of a effect on the lycan.

His advancement had been swift, barreling towards the fmale at a tremendous speed. Aiden launched from the ground, claws tearing at the grass beneath them as he ascended. Arms stretched wide in the hooes to snare Kara from where she stood, effectively taking her in his grasp. He had timed it well, but Kara had timed her retreat better.
Long and gainly armsclosed upon thin air, snatching nothing. He had tucked the right shoulder under his body to soften the blow as the giant beast landed with a undefined thud of the grass. His body slid forward, tumbling enough to create a shallow trench in the ground of his wake. A soft whine had escaped the giant maw followed by a groan as the lycan attemtped to get upon his feet as quick as he could. A pain sht up his wrist which made him shift weight from his rigt hand to the left. It was broken; he could recall the last time the same wrist had been broken in training.
Despite the pain shooting through his arm from finger tip to elbow, he had regained his footing quickly. Turning, Aiden faced Kara. If he'd had better sense around him now he might have comended her on her speed, instead, he produced a sound that tore through the area around them.
He had began to walk towards her slowly, but found himself stopping. Those icy hues bore into the crimson deman that stood before him. Here eyes burned fiercly and for a moment, he was entranced by them. It the midst of the encounter, Aiden could not seem to recall what he was supposed to do.
The feeling crept upon him with tender finger tips and he could feel the idea of it slipping further from his mind. His massive form twisted to look upon the group of soldiers that were stood to their left. Fingers curled inwarsd, piercing the skin of his palms. The beating heart within that massive chest had began to pump faster in the perplexity of the moment.
What is he doing?” A voice rang out over thesilence. It was not unfamiliar. “Aiden, you idiot! A short fat man pushed his way to the front; in his hand he held a remote. Aiden felt his pulse quicken faster still, upon seeing it. There was soemthign he was supposed to be doing, and he wasn't doing it. That much was known.
The squat man had raised a hand, threatening to press the button but Aiden did not see as he swept his blue eyes back to the woman before him. Who is she? he wondered.
She's doing something to him! The man yelled heatedly, pressing the button upon the remote and sending Aiden into a crumpled mess upon the floor.
Take her.” The men needed no further prompting as they moved in towards Kara, each with his gun raised high. Shots were fired and rubber bullets hurtled towards the female; they were not enough to kill her, but they could render a grown man to his knees.

"Everyone has a chapter they won't read out loud."

There was a faint crack of bone that was heard to sensitive ears, crimson eyes watching the lycan stumble yet again though this time taking on damage from his own actions. Silently she appraised the male, wishing he wasn't on the wrong side of this fight as he could make a great ally one day with training, and she knew a few lycans who would teach him a thing or two. His speed was definitely something to be noted and it was undeniable that it was a trait that would only get better should he learn to balance his strength and speed. It was a shame that he had fallen onto the side of the Oxen and she hated that it came down to destroying their own kind but Kara didn't believe she would have much choice. Tonight, either she was walking away or the Oxen corp was and she didn't plan on leaving survivors. Clenching her teeth she thanked the gods for the small stroke of luck as the pain he experienced sang through his emotions allowing her to grab onto it and attempt to increase its effects.

If it had worked, the Lycan showed little signs as he lined himself with her again, Kara's muscles tensing in preparation. Her mind was focused on her mental attack and it seemed to be working, without much fight at all. It made her think that the Oxen Corp had broke the lycan before her, it wasn't normal for supernaturals to be so open to empathic attacks. There was a slight tick in the corner of her lips as she released that the fight was definitely turning in her favor and this could be over quickly. Kara wished only to go back to the hideout, see her friends and get away from these people, she had learned her lesson and decided she wouldn't be leaving alone any longer. The feelings weren't out of fear but in realization of the force beyond the Oxen, they weren't prepared for the war that was coming and being singled out would be the end of them all.

His movements toward her were slowed and short before coming to a stop, her eyes never leaving his features as the waves of disorientation, pain and confusion rushed at the lycan. It had worked and she would end this soon, her body springing to charge. He was open and his throat exposed, if she were quick she could snare his jugular in her jaws and the brute would go down. The sound of the humans speaking behind her but the sound was muffled as her attention was focused, though her eyes snapped back for a second as the lycan crumpled to the ground. Ears lay back upon her crown and her body lowered, whatever they had done incapacitated him momentarily and she decided to continue the attack. She wouldn't take the chance that another of her family would fall into this lycans play, he had to go. Kara shot off like a tightly coiled spring and planned to end the fight but she was cut short in her attack.

Pain, Kara had time to think of little else as it felt like her body was stoned mid air. She fell in a curled ball on the ground as yelps rang over the night as her body was hit in every direction and she was surrounded. Sounds around her began to dull and her mind became foggy, the pain numbing as she slipped into unconsciousness.
***
The soldiers moved to form a tight circle around the body of the female, guns drawn as if they waited for her to move in order to fire another barrage of bullets. A small, round man walked through the ranks until he stood over her body, a boot reaching out to nudge her. "Shes out, take her in." He commanded, turning on his heel as if this all was of little interest to him. Hands and feet were bound along with a heavy collar that snapped around her neck as her limp form was picked up and transported to a carrier vehicle that sat idly in the parking lot.

Nott could only sit and watch as Kara's consciousness slipped from her grasp and it became quiet, she could feel the pain of the attacks and the loss of control as blackness fogged their mind but the Deity remained aware through the experience. "Damnit, damnit to hell." She cursed, growling almost in a similar fashion to that of her host, though over time one does pick up on anothers traits she supposed. "They'll kill her, I need to get her out of this." Nott thought to herself, though she showed little signs of worry as the Deity of darkness settled down in an attempt to start conserving her power for what may come"

Kara remained unconscious for the majority of the drive back to the lab, only starting to groan and shuffle around on the floor as they neared the compound. The world was muffled, sounds didn't come in clear, her head was pounding and it was as if she couldn't bring herself to open her eyes. The faint sound of voices were heard, one of them mentioning something about an injection. In her cloudy state of mind however, Kara couldn't make sense of it until the sharp prick was felt in her hip, one what was soon followed by a warmth that spread from the location. Her mouth opened to demand what that was but words came out garbled and senseless as the blackness of unconsciousness settled over her yet once again.

Beep...Beep...Beep...Beep...
Kara's face scrunched as she tried to fight through the thick fog of unconsciousness. "Can someone please turn off that damn beeping!?" Kara thought, moving her hands to cover her ears. They made it half way before she noticed the cold steel against her skin on her wrists, the tug of restraint against her wrist made her eyes to open. The cuffs were inch and a half steel that not only cuffed firmly against her wrists but also her ankles and neck. Moving hurt as a hand fingered the cold steel, her body was naked and cold and the cell she was in couldnt be more then 5X5. It took a few moments to gain her bearings as memories pieced together.

Looking down over her own form she eyed the gauze pads along her side, deep purple, blue and black bruised the whole of porcelain skin on her side. "Where am I..." she wondered, silently. The smells of antiseptic, human and blood permiated the air but her cell was 4 solid walls. She wasnt able to tell which wall was the entry way and the light in the room was disorientating. It was as if they had the sun itself in the small cell above her, taking away any place a shadow could hide. Dispite the brightness, it held no warmth. The cell was just barely above freezing as she pulled her knees to chest, a shiver running down her spine. Alone she lay on the floor, tears brinning in her eyes as she faced her own personal hell.

Sleep came and went as she lost track of time. Once a team of 2 solders and a man in a lab coat came in. She snarled and fought to the best of her ability but with the restraints, a newfound inability to shift and the light keeping her from using the shadows left her at an obvious disadvantage. She was slammed to the floor and held down as shots were administered. Her temperature was taken along with her vitals. After they were done poking and prodding a bowl of mush was left on the floor as the wall like door slammed shut. Weary eyes looked at what they considered her meal, stomach growling she debated over feeding herself an unknown substance or going hungry. She chose the latter.

"Yes, 've shal see'." Replied Dalinar as the woman was thrown into the arena with the, he couldnt bring himself to use the term 'good', when it came to the doctor. He was an outright psychopath, brilliant with medical technologies and procedures, able to get things out of men with them that would make other doctors, those who possessed conscious's, blanch. Though, he did have to admit, as he flexed his mechanical arm, the doctor had saved his life with some of his more, questionable, technologies, Dalinar scratched at an itch on a scar at the base of his skull at the thought. The doctor had reattached skull and spinal chord in the early years of his service, before the encounter with the lycan bastard that had torn his arm off. "Now, get on with the tests." This, was phrased and expressed, as an order, to which the doctor quickly acquiesed with a simple, "Yes sir." As he began to manipulate the controls on the board in front of him.

A flicker of consciousness moved through Blade's mind, 'where am I,'. As his eyes moved about the room, he saw Alleria. 'Wait, is that..." His mind was flooded before he could finish the thought, suppressing him again. Where he had been crouching on the floor near the door he had been directed in through, Blade rose to his feet, 4, lycanthrope, paws on the floor. Even though he was, in this form, capable of standing, the controls were not finely tuned enough to his particular biology to have him do such. So, as a result, he stayed on all fours, like a dog, or, as his 'official' designation on paperwork stated, a wolf-bear hybrid, supposedly created by artificial means in a Company lab under directorate authority.

A deep, rumbling growl escaped from his chest, it was so low that it could easily be felt in ones chest. Anger, rage, maim, wound, but not kill, were the, not quite thoughts, but, emotions, that were forced through his head, followed by the associated feelings as different parts of his brain were stimulated to release the necessary chemicals.

Letting out a roar that sounded, legitamately, like an angry bear, mixed with, something more. The massive beast began forward towards Alleria, blood in his eyes, and slavering at the mouth.

She fell to her hands and knees as she was shoved inside the dark musty room. The impact of her fingers hitting the floor and her skin stretching as she braced for impact, had the blisters of the fire reopen and blood oozed from the ugly red wounds. More of these wounds covered her entire body, she ached and throbbed but kept her healing to a minimum not wanting the Corporation to know She had an ability. As her eyes adjusted, She heard the soft shuffle of claws on the floor just a millisecond before the door closed and locked behind her.

Just as Blade roared and charged, She threw herself to the side barely escaping him. He came in hot and fast on her heels. The more she moved the more blisters burst and oozed.

Panting softly, she yelled at him,"Blade!! Blade it's Aleria!

No matter the times She yelled to get through, he kept coming and coming.

Puzzled at his behavior and still healing from being burned, she wasnt quiet fast enough to dodge the swipe of his claws. The momentum and force threw her to the side, his claws ripping large tears in her forearm.

Sweat beading her brow She grimaced at the pain.

She couldn't shift..it would take to much time...

He was upon her before she could catch her breath

Finding any more than one of her kind here was too much for comfort but as best she could tell there were others here. It didn't take much time to decipher what was what, every living being had kind of a signature to it and the different races of the world wrote their's in different 'languages'. It was all to making easy to find the human signatures and those who were not human. There were at lest two, no three others here she could tell were wolves and one that was a prey animal. That wasn't too unusual there were many races out in the world and though this was a land for wolves it would make sense for others to find their way in. There were however a few very unusual tings with those of the wolves. One was that there was one that seemed to flicker in and out, one moment it wrote with it's own unique flair adding the tail-tale singes of an individual, and the next it was akin to an auto-pen, automatic and alive just... empty. With a sigh Light wish she could tell more, she couldn't even begin to identify who these wolves were she only knew enough to know she had been abound them. She was gone from this world too long and knew the members of the pack on a formal basis for the most part. If she had Kit with her it would be different story entirely.

Now that she had the information what on earth could she do with it? The forces seemed to be so far apart aside from one, and most of them had humans very near them. What lock down projectiles did this building have, what was the security force like? If only she did not give herself up maybe she would know, yet she would have shown her hand. Here she was, her hand still hidden and ready to be played, all she needed to do was plan just how to play it. Paws carried her pacing around the room, ears turned this way and that on her head and her whiskers twitched. Wait, whiskers? What a Kit-like habit, her whiskers would twitch all the time in though. Maybe being close to others made something in her awaken, maybe the old body was longing for it's master, or maybe Light was worried about Kit's family enough that she started taking on her habits. Her mind was still silent aside from her own thoughts but just maybe there was hope. If there was hope for Kit to escape her sleeping prison then indeed there was hope to break out of Oxen.

Light filtered in through long eye lashes as blue eyes began to surface. Long limbs stretched from the tips of toes to the nimble finger tips, bones cracking and joints warming as Aiden stretched. His eyes blinked furiously for a second or two in the attempt to regain a clear sight and he lowered his hands to rub at them.
It took a moment for him to realise the room he had been put in. White surrounded him. Three white walls, roof and floor. The last wall had been replaced by a mirror, and from what he assumed was a two way mirror. A dresser stood tall against the adjacent wall to his bed beside a taller wardrobe. The door at the foot of his bed was closed but there was no trace of a lock. Nor was there a hatch for a food tray.
He noted that the room was not dissimilar to the one he ha been imprisoned in, but never had he had luxuries endowed in his quarters. He stretched once more before sitting up in his bed, the covers falling back down to rest at his waist. He slipped out of bed with a grunt, one foot before the other and felt the cold floor beneath his feet. Every muscle in his body ached and he grimaced as he rolled his shoulders before standing to his full height and walked towards the mirror. He cupped his hands to the glass and put his face against them, looking nosily to the other side.
The room was unoccupied but he could see the backs of computers and lights flashing on the bench. Sighing, he pushed away from the mirror and turned to face the door. Curiosity raged within him and he crossed the room in three bounds to try the handle. A large part of him had expected it to be sealed shut, but it was a pleasant surprise when it swung open with little force, and caused a pain to shoot through his muscles with the over extension.
He rubbed at his shoulder as he peered down the hallway and was met by two sets of eyes belonging to soldiers stationed at either side. One smiled beneath the shadow created by his helmet, “Get dressed and head to the cell block.” He said simply before turning away. Aiden noted that both of the guns in their hands were tranquilliser guns, and hoisted at their waists were tasers. “So... I'm not a prisoner, but -
He was confused but knew that no answers would be given here, so he closed the door, turned and headed for the dresser.

Re: "...Huh..." (Open!)

Post by Kara on Fri 09 Feb 2018, 20:45

"Everyone has a chapter they won't read out loud."
Time seemed to stand still, the white lighted cell that held her captive gave no hints that would tell her how long she had been imprisoned. She remained stoic in her disorientation, curling up as much as the restraints would allow her and trying to sleep away her time confined to the cell. There was no use in exerting unnecessary energy as the cell was fortified and the collar around her neck seemed to negate any supernatural powers she would have to her advantage. Sitting in silence and waiting for the Oxen to bring her from her confinements was going to be the only change she had to escape, but that wasn't her only problem.

Her mind wandered back to the fight that led up to this, the lycan she encountered in the park and the words he spoke. If what he said was true, Alleria was also captive here and she couldn't leave without her family or without repaying the man who allowed the oxen to capture her. It was as if the universe heard her challenge as the now familiar clink of the lock release sounded followed by the cool sliding of the door. As one of the walls fell away to reveal the world outside her personal hell, four men filed in her room two by two.

Crimson eyes that were dulled and near cloudy looked up at the men as guns trained on her face, three of the Oxen soldiers waiting for her to make any indication of an attack while the other unlocked the restraints from the clip on the wall.
"Stand up." The man who unlocked her from the wall demanded curtly, grabbing her by the upper arm and yanking her up. Her knees wobbled for just a second as she hadn't had the room to stand in some time, her body growing sore and stiff from non-use. A glaring gaze passed over all fur men in the room but they simply seemed to ignore her as she was filed from the cell into a long hallway.

"You'll be taken in for testing, you are to cooperate with the demands of Lab workers or there will be punishment. You will not attempt o escape or fight back, or there will be punishment. That collar around your neck allows us to control your flow of power, it also has the ability to administer an electric jolt strong enough to take out the largest of your Lycans." The man who walked next to her stated matter-of-factly as he cast a sideways glance at her as if to check her understanding. Kara remained silent as she listened to his ramble, unconcerned with his threats. This was a game of strategy and letting them get under her skin would only work against her, though she made a catalog of each face so she remembered who had crossed her.

Three doors and a few turns and more hallways later she arrived at the lab, men in white coats bustling around a large room with tables of various equipment lining the edge of the room. There was an exam table at its center and bright lights shining from every possible direction. Guards were stationed in every corner with large guns that seemed at the ready should anything go awry.
"Ah, our latest arrival! Bring her in, over to the table. Thank you, gentlemen, thank you." He said hurriedly as if he had one too many cups of coffee this morning. The eagerness in his young face and rush in his movements showed too much of his personality to Kara who turned her eyes to the man who now stood next to the exam table. His hands wrung together as the men directed her to the table and hoisted her onto the cold metal, attacking the links that remained on her limbs to the connections to the table. As the original four men moved away from her and left her exposed to the young man in the lab coat she felt his eyes on her as the smile on his face grew.

"Hello, My name is Dr. Andrews, can I ask you your name?" He tried in a soft and soothing voice, though Kara remained quiet as her stare bore into him. Clearing his throat he tried again. "I'd like to know what to call you during our time together." Still, she provided him with no answer. The room was heavily populated so there was not much she could now, manipulating someone was harder when other influences were present so she would have to wait. The smile faltered slightly as the Doctor scribbled something down on the paper, looking away from her gaze and shifting as if uncomfortable. The rest of the time was relatively quiet as he took hair, blood and saliva samples, weighed her and took the measurements of each limb and part of her body, writing down the results as they were uncovered. Prying her mouth open the doctor examined her canines, sticking his fingers in her mouth. A growl automatically resonated deep within Kara's chest though the only acknowledgment was a sideways glance that clearly said to "watch it" by the doctor. Her blood boiled in her veins and without the time to think it through her jaws snapped shut and razor-sharp teeth pierced through the skin and the sound of bone cracking was heard between the two of them.

The doctor bellowed in pain as reflexes caused him to try and pull back though his finger was firmly caught in the steel trap of teeth. Red eyes began to glow as the rage burned in Kara's soul, gut turning as she knew that she had reacted out of anger and let her facade fall. The consequences of her actions quickly came in the form of a blinding shock to the side of her neck, sending volts through her body as she spasmed though unable to open her jaw. One of the guards ran over, cocking his fist back and hitting her square in the jaw with enough force to make her see sparks as the taste of her own blood now mingled with that of the doctors. As her jaw released and her body fell limp, eyes glazed over as figures appeared around her before blacking out.

(some of this was done with permission for character control)

Powerful jaws clamped down on her upper arm, teeth didnt pierce the skin, but bone was compressed from the force. Shaking his head like a dog with a favored toy to be played with, Blade flung the smaller woman back and forth by her arm. Tendons screaming from being stretched, the joint nearly being yanked from its socket. With a final shake of his head, he released Aleria, sending her flying across the room to slam into the far wall before stalking towards her again. Was he toying with her? No, he was following the basic translated commands he was receiving through the control unit. This thrashing continued for several minutes, powerful jaws repeatedly ensnaring her, shaking her violently before releasing her to be thrown across the room, again and again.

As she was being thrown around like a chewtoy by a massive hound, Dalinar looked down, watching with dissatisfaction. He had been ordered to conduct such a test, but, had been directly told not to kill the girl, the mutated, lycanthropic abomination of a girl. Why? Because they needed her to run more tests on after the beast was done mauling her in the testing ring below him.

The doctor next to him was chuckling quite happily to himself as he watched the beating going on below him, observing the data rendering on the screen in front of him. This would be used to further refine the connection with the brutes brain, possibly giving them the ability to have him shift and impersonate an actual person to be used for infiltration.

"Alright doctor, do you have enough testing material yet?" Dalinar asked in disgust at the mans enthusiasm.
"Yes, yes I believe I do, now I am just enjoying the show."
"In that case, terminate the test, Ive seen enough." He ordered, and in short order, the massive behemoth was sitting docilely in the arena as handlers moved about him, the battered bleeding woman laying on the floor a distance away.

Aleria was backed into a corner; her hands went behind her feeling the cold wall against her back as it cut off her escape route. She ignored the pain in her forearm as the blood continued to drip. Blade was not himself and was closing in fast for another attack. Her words falling on deaf ears, he did hear nor understand that it was her, his friend; pack.

Her eyes darted back and forth as looked for a way out, her eyes adjusting well, but her view was dreadful. She was in a small room with a fully changed Blade, intent on harming her. Pushing from the wall she leaped to the side just as he lunged for her. She hit the ground hard a few feet from him, just as she scrambled to get to her feet to move again, she felt his clawed hand wrap around her ankle, her body lifted, and for a split second she was weightless, then she was soaring as he flung her into the opposite wall. She hit, her body folding into itself as she fell and rolled. Pain was a constant overload riding her body from the various wounds inflicted upon the earlier experiments of the doctors and now the onslaught of Blade and his attacks.

She refused to show her Power to the Corporation during the first test. That was what they wanted after all; this was what these test where used for, to break her, to learn her.. To learn Blade, their abilities, to gain information that could be used against them. If she did anything, they would tire and hopefully gleam that she was useless. The test would have to stop, yes? She didn’t know anymore, all she knew was that they were in trouble and Blade was now being controlled somehow. She couldn’t leave him in their hands.. she had to reach him.

Vision blurred, she felt more than saw Blade approach, the connect they all shared was still there, she could feel it blossom in her chest as she tried to connect to him. Teeth clamped on her arm and pressed, once again lifting her. The little black dots in her vision intensified as she was taking on to much than she could handle with the pain and torture of her body, but…

Pressing her lips, she tried not to scream as the pressure from his jaw broke her arm, the constant jerkin back and forth as he shook his head with her in his mouth and the pain made her want to vomit, it was way too much, he flung his head and released her, sending her body flying once again.

Her back hit the opposite wall, and then fell with a thud. Panting softly, she struggled to her feet and ran at him leaping on his back and crawling up to his shoulders, wrapping her legs around him and squeezing to hold on, she called forth what energy she could, and locking both hands together to make a big fist, she brought her arms down like a hammer and hit him right between the eye as she released the energy and at the same time tried to link with him.

His roar was deafening as he staggered from the blow, maddened he rammed himself against the wall trying to dislodge her, but she cling to him as she sent her “filters” out to connect with his energy, to connect to his mind as she screamed his name through the link.

His struggles got more frantic as he bashed and thrashed around the room, suddenly he careened backwards. Her back smashed into the wall as hit weight crushed her, knocking the air from her lungs, her arms flailed trying to push him off, giving him the opportunity, his teeth snapped a hold of her arm, moving he flung her off him.

He charged, his teeth no longer registering as they grasped her flesh and shook her for daring to harm him. Perhaps if she laid her there and didn’t fight her would tire and grow bored. Shortly, it stopped and Aleria lay in a pool of her own blood, her pulse in her eyes, darkness closing in.
Blade moved away and sat, just as she heard the audible distinction of the door being unlocked and opened, a shuffle of footsteps, a sharp command directed at Blade, more movement, and then it was just she and a pair of boots in front of her face; the scientist.

He smiled down at her, “You held out longer than I expected, it was subtle, and thank God for footage, otherwise I’d have missed it, but I saw it pet.” He snapped his fingers and orderlies rushed in, a gurney wheel squeaking as it was rolled in. They lifted her and strapped her to the mat, as the plump balding man rubbed his hands together, his eyes gleaming as if he’d just received a brand new toy!

Waiting, thinking, planning. All things that took quite a bit of patience when one was in an urgent station like this. Yet that was something to old wolf had plenty of as she reclined, paws crossed, thinking. There would be a few things to account for before she tried any kind of escape. What routine did the humans here have? Was there a time when security was low, where everyone felt sound and those in captivity were left to rest or was there watch all hours of the night and day? Yes, the best thing to do would be to wait, think, and track. And just maybe she could catch one of the wolves lone and be able to reach out to them. Yes, for now she wold wait.

Re: "...Huh..." (Open!)

Aiden was half way through putting an arm in his jacket when he turned a corner and was met with the hand of a familiar face. It was one of the orderlies he had come into contact with during an unsolicited shift. The man looked up and met Aidens icy gaze, sudden fear dominant in those brown eyes.
Aidens lips curled into a smirk as they revealed the subtle hint of a smile beneath and his arm slipped home into the jacket sleeve. His nostrils flared, smelling the fear that rolled from the man though he held his composure in front of the staff that followed his footing and pushed Aidens back against the wall. The thick leather of his attire creaked with the sudden impact, and as the old orderly past Aiden, the male caught a glimpse of the remnants of his shift. A thick and healing wound that had taken off half of his ear.
As his gaze swept the other orderlies, he realised then that a woman lay upon the bed they wheeled. His hands gripped at the zip of his jacket, one at either side and he examined her body in the brief moment he had. What ever ordeal she had gone through had not ended well for her. The scent of her blood lay thickly in the air and he found himself parting his human jaws to taste it. It was sickly sweet and made the saliva in his mouth gather on his tongue, with a slight undertone of something that reminded him of himself. He swallowed the dry lump that had formed at the back of his throat, and for a fleeting moment felt a pity for the girl.
A sudden thought had passed his mind in the brief silence he had allowed himself, and he wondered of the sickening act that had been forced upon her by the company he now worked for. His gaze sought hers and found golden hues, the whites of hers eyes forced to red from what ever beating she had endured.
His brows furrowed into a tight frown and his eyes turned upon the orderlies that carried her down the hall, around the corner and out of sight. Aiden stood for a moment, deep thoughts swirling in his mind like a vortex. Blue eyes transfixed on the white walls of the corridor, he had been so deeply in thought that when his name flew down the hallway he might have jumped out of his own skin. Snapping to attention, his eyes lifted to see the doctor whom had been the first small, blading squat man that he had met in the institute; his maker.
What are you doing? I asked you here ten minutes ago!
Yeah, and I'm here.” He retorted, closing the distance between them swiftly and pushing his hands deeply into the pockets of his jacket. There was a man there that Aiden had not yet met, although he held such a posture that told the male that he must have been in charge. Aiden swept his gaze from the mans face to his feet and back up. His nostrils flared as he caught the mans scent. freshly ironed clothes, gun powder and hair gel. He was unimpressive, Aiden concluded and searched for other means to catch his attention.
That was when he saw the brute of a wolf in the corner. “Jesus Christ.” He exclaimed with a smile, his hands coming from pockets of his jacket in excitement, taking a few steps towards the creature but stopping before present himself as a danger.
That thing is huge.” He snickered loudly, but stopped when he saw the blood which pooled in all corners of the room. The smell of it was familiar,   and a vision of the beaten woman on the bed flickered into existence within his mind. He pointed at the were wolf in the corner and frowned, “You put her- but she was tiny.” He said in disbelief, gaze shifting back to the man in charge. “That ain't even a fair fight.” He said with distaste on his tongue and a crease in hos brow. Aiden was a self indulgent man, relishing in a good fight and the taste of blood in his mouth, but even he knew when to stop.
Aiden watched the blood boil into the mans cheek, and the doctorr must have seen it to because he quickly filled the silence, “Aiden.” He said sternly to grab AAidens attention, his face a flush with obvious embarrassment at his experiments disobedience. “Go with the orderlies and keep an eye on the woman with them.” His head flicked, gesturing the directing in which Aiden had just come.
She's practically dead. What the fuck is she gonna-
GO, NOW.” He warned loudly, and Aiden noticed the familiar remote in his hand. He raised his arms in the air to show his sudden cooperation, “Okay.” A breath filled his lungs and he exhaled slowly, turning upon his heels; but not without anther passing gaze on the black beast.
I'll be there later, we have more tests to run.
Okay.” Aiden made no further gestures as he moved from the room, but he did hear the unmistakeable sound of a connecting slap that he could only assume was delivered by the mysterious man in charge to the doctors, and Aiden smiled ignoring the fact that he knew he would pay for the slight later. “Worth it.” He whispered.

As the hands reached for her, she was too weak to even utter a growl of warning. She did not want them to touch her, but she had little choice in the matter. As they wheeled her out, she struggled to regain consciousness as she tried to follow the path they were taken her, she must have blacked out for a spell, for when she opened her eyes again, white walls rushed past along with new scents.

Everything was a blur as she tried to focus, but she could feel the pull of her body wanting to shut down to heal itself, to only run on the smallest amount of energy to keep her heart beating as it repaired the damage. Eyes met that of a male. Although her eyes were open, she couldn’t really see, it was more of an impression, a feeling that it was male, different. The encounter was too quick as they turned yet another corner and she blacked out again the strangers scent long gone now.

The scientist frowned down at her, ”On no dear-y, I have special plans for you. Get her hooked up immediately.”/

Re: "...Huh..." (Open!)

"Everyone has a chapter they won't read out loud."
The coppery taste of blood was all she could taste as consciousness came to and she became aware of her surroundings, her face scrunching up in discomfort at the dull ache in her jaw. The last memory she had before waking began to flood back to her, remembering feeling the thumb sever in the grasp of her bite and the retaliation of the guards. She groaned more at herself than anything, taking in a deep breath before opening her tired crimson eyes. To her surprise, she was in the cell that she had grown to know in the time that's passed but instead she was back inside the lab. It was empty aside from herself and the equiptment, a machine next to her beeping steadily. The beeping box was connected to her through tubes that pierced her skin, a few different liquids flowing through with varying colors.

Kara narrowed her eyes as she examined her surroundings, aside from the motorized sounds of the machines the room was quiet with no one bustling around. Lights were dimmed and the window to the hallway showed no passing occupants. Her back was sore from laying on the flat cold metallic table, her limbs having little in ways of movement due to the restraints. "What the hell?" She wondered, mind reeling in possible ways to get out of her bondage. The steel links that held her were thick, she knew her limits and there was no way she was going to bend the metal with her own strength. "Nott? Can you hear me?" Kara asked, reaching within herself and hoping that whatever technology they had on her didn't inhibit her link with Nott. The answer that came back had the calmness of the dead of night, her voice soft like silk and wrapping around her mind. "I am. Are you okay?" She asked, her tone almost motherly. "Can you help me? Can we get out of these?" Kara asked, pulling at the restraints on her wrists as an example to her silent question. She could feel Nott pondering for the moment, though it felt like hours. She was impatient, unknowing when the humans would be returning. "They have had us deprived of the darkness for so long, the amount of darkness we could conjure or control is extremely limited and weak." She said, the dread in her tone apparent as she answered many questions at once.

She could feel herself sink with the idea that she was unable to free herself, given this chance that she feared may not present itself again. "Bide your time Kara, we can get out of here but you are one against an army and you cannot be irrational about this." Nott pressed, Kara could practically feel the diety staring her down so she knew the seriousness of the situation. Letting out a sigh, she conceded and relaxed her body on the cold table while eyes stared up at the ceiling with tears welling. She was determined to escape and save her friends, just unsure how at the moment.

Through the general quiet of the lab, the sound of a lock sliding out of place and a door sliding open rang out. Soon the sound of heavy boots made their way down the hall, the heavy sound echoed until stopping outside the door before entering. The lab door slid open and revealed a man who easily stood over 6 feet with broad shoulders and a face that made it clear he didn't play games. Kara stared back unmoving, the steady rise and fall of her chest the only visual sign that she was alive. Eyes began a weak gleam through the room as they stared into the emotionless depths of the newcomer. With little in way of hesitation, he walked through the doorway and immediately went to the station to her right. No words were exchanged as he placed gloves on, a face mask and protective glasses. An array of instruments were placed on a small tray on wheels and soon he turned with the card and approached.

Kara stared at the man with a blank mask on her face but inside she panicked, he was almost robotic in his movements and his emotions. The only thing she was able to pick up was negative, cold and uncaring. He saw her as an object at his disposal and she was powerless to stop it. There were no pleasantries exchanged as like what happened with the young doctor and through his glasses the man stared down at her while examining her at various locations. He connected an array of sticky pads to her body from her feet to her head and placed a small grip on her finger. Once he seemed satisfied with his set up a slight smile formed on the side of his lips. Reaching to the cart that he had assembled, a large hand grasped a scalpel and turned to Kara. She let out an involuntary growl as the blade descended on her skin and cut deep into the layers of her skin. Blood pooled at the surface and was wiped away as grips were placed inside the cut and muscle was cut away. Kara grit her teeth through the scream that threatened to spill, her heart picking up the pace as her body adjusted to pain.

The night bore on with various experiments performed relentlessly and without mercy. He removed fingernails and toenails, took skin samples and ripped a tooth from her mouth after knocking it lose. Her wrists and ankles bled from the pull of the restraints against her skin as her body thrashed, leaving her skin raw and sore. Her vision in one eye was almost gone from some liquid that was dropped into it, the burning had subsided but her vision was slow to return. Kara was starting to fade in and out of consciousness as the next phase brought him to slice into her abdomen. Sweat pooled against the clammy cool skin and her skin turned a pale color. The procedure went in and harvested her kidney, taking it from her body and stitching her back up. Coming in and out, Kara whimpered and tears fell from her eyes as the sounds of water running and instruments clanked onto the counter. "Hold on Kara, just don't let go okay.." Nott coaxed, the sound of her voice sounding distant.

Waking up painfully was beginning to be the norm in her place, though at least this time she woke up alone in her cell and not at the immediate mercy of the man. Looking down, a large incision was in her abdomen, stitches crudely sewn into her skin keeping the wound closed. Every movement hurt but it only took a second to notice that her movement wasn't as restricted. With great effort, Kara moved into a sitting position and realized that her restraints weren't connected to the wall. They had apparently appraised her weak or harmless enough to lack in the precautions previously taken. Slowly, she scooted her body back to lean against the wall as thoughts raced through her mind, unsure what to do next. As the time passed, her meal was brought and the guards would check on her in intervals. Kara began to silently calculate their rounds, the scent of their passing and started to schedule them in her mind. It also seemed that she was on a constant round of shots that were administered twice in what she thought was a days time. 3 days passed with little incident, they recorded the rate in which she was healing from the wounds but other than that left her be for the most part.

Time began to patch the more severe of her injuries and the amount of energy Nott and herself were collecting was growing. After a couple more days passed Kara was eventually rolled into another room. This one was open with no furniture and only one door. She was released from her shackles once inside and a small group of soldiers was present with her, the window to her left was black to her but she was under the assumption that they could see her from the other side. Turning her attention to the men who stood before her, she wondered what their plan was. It was soon evident enough as they descended on her, their attack coming quickly and efficiently. Taken off guard she took a barrage of hits before stumbling away and regaining her composure. Her pull on the darkness was still weak in the dimly lit room but a tick in her lip showed that she saw only the challenge. Taking a proper stance, she faced the soldiers and steadied herself. Body battered or not, she was still stronger than a human and she would show them that. The first two fell in unconscious heaps before the fight could really continue, one taking a hit to the temple and the other smashing against the wall before falling less than gracefully to the floor.

The others tried to take advantage by surrounding her but the small lithe movements evaded and countered their attacks easily. Kara was beginning to see hope, maybe if she could beat them then she could escape this room. With a vicious growl, she lept to the shoulders of one man, twisting his head completely around before he collapsed leaving her to leap at the last remaining one standing. Just as Kara connected, the feeling of electricity shot through her body and she fell limp. Their experiment had obviously ended with the death of one of them, an unintended accident on their part. Quickly, she was rounded up and placed back in her cell before any more damage was caused.

Aiden quickly found himself running when he was certain that he was no longer in sight of the two men, though he didn't know why. The orderlies hadn't gone far and as he rounded the corner once more he spotted them just as they turned another corner that lead to the West Wing.
The flat soled bottoms of his converse shoes were a soft sound as they hit the white tiled floor, accompanied only by the sounds of his heart beat in unison and his breath. He turned right as two hallways met to follow the direction in which the group had gone and found them only a few metres from the turn.
One of the orderlies, a woman with short blonde hair placed in a bun, turned to look at him before regrouping and taking up her place back on the team. Aiden would have smiled at her if she'd given him the time but instead he followed them at the steady pace they held and listened carefully to what they had to say to each other. From what he gathered, the scientists wanted to do more experiments on this woman, but what made her so special from the rest?
Aidens mind then wandered to the female he had fought in the park. She had been a small wolf, but her speed and strength despite that were formidable. He remembered her file, the darkness she could so easily control and bend to her will. It poised a question he hadn't thought of before in his naivety, How are they containing these creatures with such power?
A loud bang brought him from his reverie and pulled his attention back to the present. Wide double doors were forced open and they wheeled the woman through and into another white hallway, although this one had doors rhythmically placed at either side. Aiden swept his icy gaze upon the woman, she seemed to be slipping in and out of conciousness. He fingered the zipper of his jacket without a thought ut found his eyes wandering to the doors as they passed each one. Upon closer inspection, he noticed a key card slot on the right side of the handle, attached to what seemed to be an elaborate built computer screen.
Aidens brows creased in wonder, but before he could open his mouth to give voice to his questions, an orderly swiped his card swiftly against a machine which gave an audible beep, followed by the sounds of clicking as the lock unlatched itself. The door swung open silently on it's well oiled hinges and the small procession slipped into the room.

B E N J A M I N . N E K I S H U
f a t h e r || g u a r d i a n || e l e m e n t a l
p r o f i l e

"Loyalty should only be given to those willing to lower themselves to pick it up."

All at once tension gathered within the male, waking him from his recovering slumber. Each and every sense in his entire being snapped to attention, forcing those emerald eyes open with such a purpose that it took a long moment for his pupils to contract and dilate and contort his vision to the animalistic perfection of his wolven form; but he hadn't waited. Like a primal instinct in the depth of his core, something awoke in Benjamin that surpassed the mental recognition of the castle as he raced through it. He had burst from the hearth which had contained the flames used to heal him for the two days he had slept. Sinuous and muscled legs pumped beneath his massive form, driven by the tearing bond within his soul. Pain writhed like a distant memory through his limbs, a pain that was not his own, but he would claim regardless. It was the pain of his family and it was a driving force like no other fuel he could ever have imagined.
Benjamin raced down the winding hallways of the castle, body ablaze with the fury and vengeance that his family deserved. He had needed to rest, that much he knew, and for that he would not begrudge himself, but there was a deep guilt that was built into his system from a long derived promise of protection. The protection from a brother, a father, a mate; and an alpha. Though he was no longer their alpha in title, he held himself as accountable for their pain just as was coded in the oath of such a title. It was a position that once held, was written into the DNA of a wolf and his family.
The male had not noticed Shadrack as the butler walked through the living room, and Blaze swept the floor clean of settling dust before almost knocking the man from his feet before bursting through the portal on the other side of the room. The large wolf curled his chin into his massive chest and tucked his ears in tight as he slammed head first into the door of the broom closet that concealed the portal Blade had conjured without so much as a grunt.
Diners in the small tavern leaped from their seats and chairs fell to the floor while the air erupted in the startling screams of patrons. But Benjamin didn't notice. He didn't react as those huge paws tripped and tumbled over various cleaning products that sprawled from the closet, and he raced through the open door and bursting onto the street. Each digit upon those paws spread and gripped at the bitumen to gain purchase as he turned and he roared in defiance when his own perpetual speed had caused him to fumble. Making a swift recovery, the male used his long tail to guide his falling body into a graceful and clean manoeuvre which sent him cascading down the street.
The sun beamed upon the city, gleaming off the wolfs bright fur and bouncing from the coppery glow like the moving flames of a fire.
The city was bustling in the mid day heat, and though supernaturals were no longer a secret, the community as an entirety had gained a bad, if not evil, reputation thanks to the lies fed to the public by the Oxen Corporation; and as Blaze moved through the streets, people made no efforts to conceal their obvious fear and disdain, just as he had made no efforts to conceal himself. He knew it wouldn't be long before someone would call the Corporation to tell them they'd missed one of the beasts but he had no time to be careful.
There was no need for Benjamin to sniff out his family, nor was there a need for him to find them; the pull from each and every one of them was at the strongest he'd felt it. They were together, and the pain he felt in every fibre of his being told them they were being tormented. That gave the large male all the information he needed to form a meticulous and quick plan.
Golden eyes darted from each side of the side walk to the next. Buildings passed and people leaped from his path catching only a glimpse of the dagger like teeth exposed from his thick black lips.
A narrowing street came to an end at a T-Junction and Benjamin chose to turn right at the end. He turned the corner swiftly but could not contain his stride to the pathway, he spilled onto the road and in the path of an oncoming car.
The red BMW slammed it's breaks on with an uninviting screech of tyres to bitumen. The driver turned the wheel at an alarming rate to the full lock position, but Benjamin was already airborn. With a snarling leap, he landed upon the bonnet of the car causing it to bow under his weight before jumping to roof. The vehicle careened towards the side walk and people screamed to scatter like ants from it's path, but with a grace and skill that proceeded his sheer size, the wolf leaped from the roof of the car to land softly upon the road. As he sped away from the junction, Benjamin ignored the unmistakable sounds of a crash. Those emerald eyes scanned the new street, and spotted a man hole. The imagery of the day he escaped passes like show reel on fast forward in his mind.
The sewers.
Like a light bulb had illuminated the darkness of his mind, he shot towards it. The wolfs form burst into flames in the middle of the street with a startling crack. The embers seemed to catch upon a breeze that was not there and slipped into the small holes that rimmed the cover of the man hole, leaving behind a crowd of astonished onlookers and terrified citizens.

The sewers were anything unlike the streets. A maze of pipes and tunnels. After about two minutes of misguided turns and dead ends, Benjamin decided that Cinder Stepping was not the best way to go about this and was in dire need of his sense of smell. The embers coalesced and swirled in a maddened tornado of energy. Bursting to light, the fire flurried into existence before it extinguished and only the wolf remained. Immediately he could hear the sounds of rushing water, the remnants of the crash above and sirens from both the police and the Oxen Corporation. This told him he was not at all far from his initial point of entry. A soft growl escaped his maw and he closed his eyes to call upon his consciousness and gather his own thoughts. Slowly, Benjamin opened his maw and allowed the filthy aromas to fill his mouth and nasal passage.

Shadrack dusted himself off after the hurdling fireball that was Blaze went racing past him. Looking first in the direction he went, then whence he came, the steward sighed, shaking his head. "Alright people, lets get those fires put out and everything cleaned up." He called, getting the other servants moving in the wake of the fiery whirlwind.

...........................

Blade growled, a deep rumbling sound, at Aiden as he crossed an unseen line approaching him. He began to rise, but a sharp command from the man in charge, not the scientist, but the one who looked like a soldier, caused him to sit again as the aforementioned scientist connected a small computer to the unit sticking from the back of his head. It was a continuing examination of the software running everything that was being fine tuned to allow for better, more seamless control. After Aiden left the room the man, Dalinar, turned back to the scientist. "Are we ready for the next battery of tests?"

...............................

Once again, massive doors opened releasing him into a testing arena. This time, however, there were other people in there that he was not intended to attack. He moved over next to the soldier with the tablet in this hands that was sending a control signal to the gear implanted into his skull. This, was meant to be a squad movement exercise. "Alright," Dalinar said over the loudspeaker, "Begin."

A hush... yes that was what Light could pick up, it was as if there was something in the world holding it's breath. Something was coming, good or bad she could not tell but she knew enough to start gathering her energy, build things up and wait. She needed to be at her best when the call to action came to her. It was time to relax, draw herself in, and meditate.

The doors swooshed open as soon as the key card was swept through the device. The gurney was rushed into the room at the doctor's haste. The techs and doctor sidled up to her, and with each other’s help they cut away blood tattered dress she wore, lifted and rolled her face down on another table that had been prepped beforehand. The first gurney was wheeled out so that they could have more room.

Moving over her, the Doctor was glowing with glee as he looked down on his subject, he reached to pull the cloth straps across her back, but frowned at her hair, so he pushed it to the side, frowned, bunched it up, frowned again. With an exasperated sigh, he gathered it up in his fist, snatched his shears and with precision, sliced the bundled, coppery brown hair, shearing it to jut past her shoulders. Dusting his hands, the last strands fell to the ground with the rope of hair. Gathering the straps once again, he pulled the material across her back and melded them together, same with her bottom. 'No need to be indecent, dear. I am if nothing else, a gentlemen." Now that the bra and panties was in place, he examined her body as he waited. His fingers traced the purple and black claw mark that marked the whole of her back. He prodded the injuries that Blade has made, all the while 'hmming', and writing in his note book.

Hearing the door open once more, his beady eyes landed on Manny, his assistance, and then looked behind him and up to see Aiden. 'Ah, Aiden! You are just in time. Just in time. Come in, come in. Have a seat." He said, his evil little mind churning with thoughts. "Manny, hurry it up."

Manny hurried into the room carrying the metal, sterile tray with two syringes. His eyes shifted to Aiden, not trusting him, but he couldn't say anything as the Doctor wanted him here. He shuffled over to the doctor eyeing the woman on the table, his own eyes widened just a bit. This little girl was what got the doctor's dick hard? 'Sir, Stevens didn't make it...the ..a..well he got to close. But here is the last of what we needed. We'll need the troops to search for more in order to ..continue." Manny tried to use less words, not wanting Aiden to be privy that they had had real wolves locked up in the cellars below, and that each time they extracted the spinal fluid, for its pure DNA, the wolf in question didn't live much longer. These vials were the last that they had, their last wolf pair could not go through another procedure. The guy with Manny, had gotten cocky, thinking the wolves didn't have any fight in them, but he was wrong. It took all of their strength, but Steven perished along with both wolves.

The doctor frowned and shook his head, not liking that one bit, but he reached for the first syringe, thumped it a few times, and pushed the plunger until a few drops of the liquid beaded out. "If all works according to plan, and I do believe it will dear Manny. There will not be a need for more." Without looking at Aiden, he used an alcohol swab and sterilized the middle of Aleria’s back, at the center of her spine. 'Aiden, be a good lad and remove your jacket and shirt." Tossing the alcoholic swab, her pushed the long needle into Aleria's skin and pushed the plunger until all of the liquid was gone. Removing it, he capped it and placed it back on the tray. "I dare say we are ready to begin. Manny, let's get her into the tank before she wakes."

The tank in question was a cyrostasis tank. Thanks chemicals in the water would help aleria breath while all the while she would be in a comatose state. The doctor motioned for Aiden, it was time for his injection. "Aiden my boy, you are in for such a treat"

Meanwhile, the orderlies carried Aleria up the steps that led to the opening of the tank, they hooked me up to monitors to keep track of her health and her energy readings. There were large coils and cords that also connected to the a joining chamber. Dr. Frankenstein would be amazed. After all,the the doctor used his notes to biuld this weapon.

The orderlies gently slid her into the water. As she was fully submerged, the monitors came to life. The monitors beeped in alarm as Alerias heart rate slow and sporadic. The orderlies chatter picked up as they began to worry, but the doctor waved them off, soon the monitors would pick up something else. "It's all about to begin Aiden..but first we'll need a test subject" He patted Aiden's shoulder, "Don't worry, you won't be first"

"Manny, he barked. Go find me our first test subject.

Jasper huffed where he sat, annoyed that he was now in a cage. As time passes he tried multiple escape attempts mom of which got him very far. For the most part his 'caretaker' though it amusing, he was just so cute and so smart to figure it all out. He could hop over the cage or pull at the latches in the right way to get out. The farthest he ever got was out the door and down the hall when the door was carelessly left open. He jumped right into the arms if a passing employee. He was staring to become bored out of his mind when the door opened.

The man who entered said something about borrowing the new pet and that he'd be brought back safe and sound. He didn't like the sound of that.... the man took his cage into a separate room and once he got his bearings his hear begin to race. There was a woman in some kind of status tube that didn't look in the best shape, a man who reamed of preditor and a whole Lotta fellas that gave of all the wrong vibes. For a long moment Jasper considers reveling what he really was bur looking again at the woman he thought better if it. He did not want to wake up in one of those things. The more he looked at the woman the more he felt like.... he didn't recognize her so why did it feel like he knew her?

"I'm waiting." Ugh what an awful voice. Before he could read he was torn out of the cage and set on a cold table. In a blink of an eye he felt a sharp stabbing pain on his rear leg. Jetaking away from whateverhurt him he looked back to see some kind of surgical instrument now dropping with his blood. Out of instinct he tunerd and locked at the gash doing little good. He didn't have much time to question the next words he heard. "Start the test."
