How much time had she truly lost? She didn't know and could not have asked Matt. The two of them may not see eye to eye for a while but there was still hope of learning what she had missed and helping. After she knew that Matthew had gone did her body shudder and a waterfall of emotions stormed down her cheeks. Time slowed down when she began to cry, clutching the rose within her hand. She was careful not to break it. This little reminder of what had been and was now gone.  "I'm so sorry Sauri.. I should have been here. Maybe i could have saved you.." she sobbed as tears fell off her cheeks. It was impossible for her to contain every little bit of pain that she was feeling. From the news of her being dead to the death of Sauri, it was all too much. She did not know how much time had passed before she stopped and was only left with the rattling of her nerves.

Her body was still shaking when she heard a noise behind her. Her breath caught in her chest as she tried to restrain from shaking turning around to face who she knew would be there. Upon turning her head she saw the man that had her heart. His eyes were red and there was a stain in the corner of them. He looked tired, the energy was palpable. She felt his shock which meant he had seen her dead. Matthew was telling the truth. There had been a small doubt in her mind but now that doubt had been washed away at the sight of him. He had seen her die and now he was seeing her alive once more. The shock had to be unmeasureable and one that she could only feel from him. As an empath she could tell what others were feeling, complex emotions which were actually quite simple even though no one knew how to describe them. She could feel all of it and her relationship with a person only made the feelings, or energy, they put off, easier for her to feel and decipher.

Without so much of a second thought, she carefully set the rose down, before thrusting herself towards him. Her arms wrapping around him and tears once more falling from her eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry...It's me..  I didn't know.. I wasn't here.. I wanted to be.. I.. I'm so sorry.." She repeated over and over again, her fingers clutching his shirt. her long ebony hair moving to seek him out. Her body shuddered as the emotions took over her. Eve had not given herself time to take in his full look but she was now taking in his scent as her hair and hands held him to her.

He stared at her in what probably looked like open horror, his mind recalling the sight of her month old corpse, the decay he had found. The scent of the eaten away flesh. He had touched her with love then as he had done when she lived and it had haunted him for every single moment since.

She moved towards him and he initially stepped a slight pace backwards unable to accept that this was real, he had longed for her to come back to him since he had lost her. He had called out to the skies, the moons, the stars and any Deity he could fathom for her to be returned and all he had been met with was utter deafening silence. Yet now here she moved towards him, her body impacting to press up against him, the hair that had so often held the two of them creeping up over him in a familiar yet now foreign blanket.
Fighting to keep himself from breaking he stood still until finally relenting her voice washing over him as though it physically touched his flesh. From head to toe he could feel her. Her scent, touch, warmth all of it. His arms rose to wrap around her the tears he had tried to hide slipping down his marble flesh as his eyes scanned the room the rose coming into sight. One from the garden Sauri's garden. He knew the exact flower, his twin had given it to his love as a mark of their friendship.

Dropping to his knees at the sight he pulled Genevieve with him. Wrapping her tightly against his chest as his eyes crushed shut images of better times flooding his mind as he tried to protect himself from the waves of emotion battering him.
"You were gone"

Eve cried, and it was not a pretty cry that they show in the movies. It wa s ugly. Her eyes, cheeks, and nose were flushed. It was a combination of her own feelings and is own as well. His were hitting her like a tidal force of waves. One thing after another. His fear. His desperation to find her. The crippling pain of realizing she was gone. The despair to get her back. It was all overwhelming her and she was unable to put up any defenses to block it all from impacting her the way it was.

When his arms wrapped around her, she stoped grasping at him so much. Her fingers remained fastened to his shirt but no longer frantic to hold him there. They both crumbled to the floor, his legs had given out and hers were already uneasy which meant the fall was less than graceful for her. Thankfully he had been there to support her in a way that she could not have done for him. His words to her still sounded lost and confused..now she understood them. "I know..I know.. I don't know what happened or why."

She with drew her head from his shoulder and looked at his face. Blood was staining his porcelain skin, but he was here. Bringing her hands up, she brushed the life's blood away from his cheeks, using a different finger each time so not to smear anymore blood across his face. " I'm here.. " She spoke quietly and looked at him as she used her, what was, a clean shirt to clean the bulk of the red stain from her fingers. If she could go back and change time, without major repercussions, she would. If it meant that the pain he had felt all this time could never have been, she would. She did not have those powers though..no. Genevieve was an immortal but not even immortals were gifted with the ability of time jumping.

Her hands were on his face his head instinctively leaning to them as she wiped the tears from his face. He was unashamed of this weakness, he had been broken over the loss and he still was yet seeing her now was a balm to the pain that had been crippling him to day by day until it had finally dropped him onto his knees. The world had been all the duller, all the more pointless without her and without his sister, his fight was failing him.

Touching his forehead against hers he closed his eyes taking in a series of steadying breaths drawing her scent deep into pointless lungs as he let her fill him, calming him.

His hands drew away from her back now, crossing her body as he felt every curve of her, taking his time for his flesh to interact with the tendrils of hair that sought him, his thorn like vines twisting in response upon his own flesh beneath the confines of his shirt.
His palms eventually captured her face, either side of it holding her there each thumb caressing the flesh of her warm cheeks beneath them.
“My Genevieve” he whispered having thought their time together was done. He had never dared to dream that they would ever some how be together again, even in death. “My Love”

Dropping her hands he pulled her by the small of her back closer to him, impossibly so until he could draw her no closer his lips pressing hard against her own in a kiss of frustration and fear yet a kiss of utter abandon and joy. All of his pains and suffering pouring out into the embrace as he reconfirmed his love for her in the simple act. He needed her and now she was back. Even if the failing of mind could not be slowed, even if he was beyond repair at least she was with him now at the beginning of the end he did not have to face the end void of love and alone.

She smiled as he leaned into her hands while she brushed the remainder of the blood from his face. The exposure and vulnerability he was giving into was a relief for her. Eve was vulnerable as well and was unsure if she could be able to handle him rejecting her. It was not something that crossed her mind though, the way his body was reacting to her touch pushed any thoughts of rejection away. Her eyes closed as their foreheads touched and she brushed her nose against his.

His cool hands sent an icy shiver down her spine. The reaction his touch was envoking was a heated one. She drew in a deep breath as his hands ventured around various curves that were more sensitive than others. As his hands explored her body, her own ventured to the front of his shirt and began methodically undoing the buttons on his shirt. She wanted to see his skin, to feel it beneath her fingertips. The vines that were hidden would be bare for her to see and you touch. When she released the last button, she pressed her palms against his abdomen, fingers splaying out along the flesh.

Crystal eyes looked at him from breath half lowered lashes and she nodded her head a little in response. She was his and he was hers. Death may have removed her temporarily from his side; but, their souls would be together no matter what ending. The Gods had a reason for bringing her back and there way no way that she was going to squander it. No.

Turning her body, she moved so that she was fully facing him; her legs relaxed on either side of his hips, her arms draped just over his shoulders. There was a need for him. A need for the release and reminder that she was alive and to show him that she was back. It was a rhythm she was falling into and responding to subconsciously. She leaned forward, pressing her lips to his with a thirst that only his lips could quench. Everything would be okay..she just needed him. His touch. His love. All of it.

In her embrace nothing else seemed to matter, all that had been heavy upon his mind lifted allowing him relief if only temporary. Each desperate concern and every worry he had were put on hold. She was against him, their flesh on flesh, hot against cold.
Selfish as the act was in such dire times he could not will himself away from her he had longed for the moment since the last time he had bid her goodnight from her chambers. Had he have known what was to happen he would have never left her bed, he would have kept her there with him at every moment.

Her lips burned against him, her hands stirring a latent monster from within a frenzy of sensations shuddering through him as he relaxed each arm allowing his shirt to fall from them exposing the vines from their prison. Thorns tore painfully through flesh, a growl upon his lips pressed to hers as he once again gripped her, this time by the hips.
Roses coming into bloom as the vines rose out in search of her flesh, to graze upon it, coil around it until entangling in her living hair.

Her hair still had her in a protective cocoon as his fingers splayed pushing through it to find the flesh of her hips his lips relaxing against her as the kiss came to an end.
Pulling upwards he turned his face into the hair. “She may be yours, but she is also mine. Let me passed”
Shifting his weight he wrapped one arm around the small of her back, bringing himself onto his feet holding her still as he moved until her back would violently meet the cave's wall, the gentleness gone from him in his urgency to once again stake his claim upon his mate. His other hand grappling his belt.
“You'll still have me?” he asked his lips upon her shoulder now, fangs down to graze the flesh bringing droplets of blood to the surface.

Their lips met with a burning and unspoken desire. Her hands moving tenderly down his bare arms now. She heard the tearing of his flesh as the vines broke the skin, and the growl that followed suit. Her reply was to take his lower lip within her teeth and biting it firmly. Not breaking the skin but a possessive capture before continuing the kiss. Her hair, which had wrapped around her body, was retreating to make way for his hands. The vines which wrapped around the tedrils only entrapped them together, as it was meant to be. If someone were to kill them now at least they would be together.

Legs fully hooked onto his hips and she laughed as he scooped her up before pushing her against the wall. With the wal behind her, and he before her, she was trapped. Not that she minded. The chill of the wall and what was being silently promised was adding to the thrill. Her hair finally moved and relented to fully expose her body to him. Only a few of the locks made sure to hold his arm behind her back. Her breath came quick to her then when his fangs traced a line across her shoulder. Tiny beads of blood began to pull to the surface. There was no pain from it, in fact it was nothing more than a lovers kiss. "I will always have you, Ajax." She reassured him in a whisper of lips brushing along his ear lobe. as she glanced down at the hand on his belt. Biting her own lip then while rocking her hips forward to play with him. Her hands, which had found their way back up to his shoulders, were now tracing lines in his back. Nails brushing lightly against the skin as she arched her back to draw him to her. Eye lids coming down to close over her eyes as her back arched and head rested against the stone wall.

The world and all of the battles they were going to face faded away into darkness. There was only this moment. His body against and within her to reconnect what they had each lost. Claiming and possessive with each moment. It was a rhythm, she could easily follow his and move with him. As long as she had him, it did not matter. "You are mine.." She whispered at one moment, holding him to her. The fingers along his back had found a spot to curl, dig, or claw in their intimacy.

Her words engulfed him how he had needed to hear then despite knowing what she would say and with that spoken permission came total abandon. His body joined with her' once more. They were exactly where they belonged in that moment and all the moments of intimacy that followed.
They had known each other many times before but never in such away, the coupling going on well into the night until they once again were to know every detail of the other's body.

Sun set and the twilight hours had long gone when sated they both lay upon his scattered clothing, his body beneath her, limbs entwined with one another as her head lay upon his soundless chest.
His eyes were closed, his body relaxed as he listened  to her. Her heart beat soothing him, her rhythmic breathing the most comforting sound he would have imagined.
For that short time he felt bliss even though at the back of his mind he knew it would not last, it could not last but he clung to the stillness.

The cave as unwelcoming as it was had always been a sanctuary for him Eve had made it one. It was sad to know that she would have to leave it. The area was to unsafe and they had probably stayed much to long already there were routine searches over the entire lands he used to hold claim on.

Sleep claimed him, it had been months since sleep had called him home but with her he felt an emotional safety he had been bereft of with her parting. A deep sleep one that was much needed yet another gift Genevieve had unknowingly bestowed upon him.

Their reunion had been a violent affair. His clothes were damaged, hers were..somewhere, cuts adorned his skin but would probably heal. Hers would take a little longer and the soreness that would plague her in the coming days would be a welcoming feeling. One thing was for certain, the time a part had not changed his stamina, nor hers. They had each visited ecstasy numerous times throughout the course of the day; it only ended when she could no longer keep her eyes open. Her body had completely given into exhaustion after one final tumble. Her head resting just on his chest, a hand near her face was resting on the opposite side. She had been tracing one of the roses with her finger tips before then. Even her living hair was still.

As she slept, she knew not of what was going on in the world around them. The dangers that were lurking and hunting down their kind and perhaps them now. It mattered not, what mattered what the then and now.

Her sleep was a short one; she had been gone for several years already. First her eyes opened and she rolled the shoulder that was beneath her, it had fallen asleep at one point and not was nothing but static. When he did not stir, she realized he had fallen asleep. Eve did not wish to wake him but she had to wash up. She had dried blood along with various other things stuck to her. She lifted her head first to get a better peek at his face. Nothing yet. She slowly untangled herself from him. A leg that was locking his lifted and moved and her hair receded from him. Finally, before she completely moved, she leaned in to kiss his cheek. It was no heavier than the touch of a butterfly when it landed on your skin. She leaned her head against his cheek for a moment, taking in what had transgressed over the last day while sending out a plea to whomever was listening. She did not want this peace to end; but, he had responsibilities.

It was a dream, a beautiful dream. Genevieve was with him once again and they lay upon the grass their bare bodies warmed by the suns rays, a light breeze cooling their flesh as they joined in love and lust once again.
They were alone in their personal bliss, only thoughts of one another upon their minds, like the rest of the world no longer existed. Only them, only this moment.
Her hair cocooning his arms, the thorns penetrating it as they became one. His lips met with the warmth of hers their mouths parted as they poured into one another.
The taste of her was overwhelming, had had been longing for it like a drug yet it started to change and sour against his lips causing his eyes to open once more, the sight before then one that would haunt him.

Something was wrong, very wrong. His Eve was changing, skin mottling and sagging. The stench of death thick in the air as before his gaze she started to change, to turn into the corpse he had cradled in the earth weeks before.
Her strength gave out against him, the body flopping to his chest her lips still parted turning black as beetles forced their way out of her hollowed mouth.
Her beautiful eyes were no more, only fly larva writhing within empty sockets looked back at him.

A wretched sound filled the air, making his ears ache, he frantically pushed the body away from him, until he was freed the sound only growing louder and more pained until he realized it was coming from him.
Stumbling backwards to his feet gasping he started to back away, the corpse animating as it reached out, bony hands grasping at his ankled, tugging him back towards it until he fell.

Gasping he sat up from the dream. Disorientated and beside himself. Had he imagined it all? Was Eve really back or had it just been the wishful thinking of his mind yet again trying to destroy itself?
It took him some moments before he realised he was within the cave systems of Lacrimosa but even that gave him no comfort, he could have been there alone in madness.

Re: Out for blood (Ajax) Mature

After she had finally departed his side, she had made her way into the warm spring. The water washed away the traced of their joinings and the warmth soothed her aching muscles. Her hands washed away the debris on her skin as she hummed a haunting tune from her past. She had long forgotten the words, if she had ever known them. She thought about where they would go next, if he would take her back to the Coven's new grounds or if he would leave her here. It was a thought she did not wish would happen but it still crossed her mind. as she brushed her fingers through her hair, she heard a gasp coming from where Ajax was.

A frown sullied her face as she turned and headed back to him. What had happened for him to gasp? Was someone there? As she hurriedly moved from the water, she expanded her energy field to feel for those around her. No, it was still just him and her. His was agitated and uneasy, a feeling that she did not like. With a relaxing breath, she pulled the energy back to her so not to be too effected by his as she entered the room and made her way over to him. "Ajax?" She spoke his name and a silent question, was it him or had his mind left him. She had seen the stress on his features yesterday and felt the urgency for her to be near him all throughout their day. There was much that she had missed and he needed to tell her.

With water still dripping from her body, she lowered herself on the ground beside him. Legs tucked under her body and her hand reaching out to touch his face. "What happened?" Crystal eyes looked at his own in hopes of seeking the answer within his dark orbs. Even his eyes at that moment seemed lost. "I'm here." She spoke and pressed her forehead to his. Eve did not know what else to do now. She needed him as much as he needed her only.

It was not long before he found himself in the company of Genevieve again. She must have heard him awaken, his eyes tracked as she moved towards him in concern yet for now he did not speak. Unsure whether this was all just a cruel trick of the mind and whether he had deteriorated much faster then he had expected or whether his love really had been returned to him.

She knelt down before him, warm hands upon his face which he tried not to flinch upon, his eyes closing as her forehead touched against his.
It was her. He focused. He could feel her warmth, hear her breathing and her heart. He could smell her. She was there, it was real.
Sighing he relented from his panic his arms going around her to pull her into his lap so he could hold her there, cradle her against his chest and sooth the raging within.

"Just a dream my love" he whispered becoming calmer by the minute. "Just a horrible dream" the image of her rotting played upon his mind yet he forced himself to focus upon her now, alive and with him.
"I thought I had dreamed you coming back. The mind if a fickle beast, mine especially.... what have I done to deserve this? Why have you been allowed back into my arms. A monster as I am surely can be in no favour with any God. I do not understand. Maybe there shall be a price to pay?" he was mumbling into her hair. grasping for some logic to everything, something to stop him questioning his own sanity. "I will gladly pay it"

She nestled her head into the crook of his neck and relaxed visibly, although her mind worried about him. It was clearly a shock to him for her to be back after all this time and she worried how big of a toll her return would take on him. A bad dream? It was probably a nightmare to awaken him in such a state. He never had nightmares before when they were together. As he spoke there was a nagging at the back of her mind and a voice, perhaps just her subconscious whispered. It would not be a price for him to pay but her own. Words she would not say to him, not now when he was so caught up in the whys.

"You a monster? I doubt that. When anyone has lived as long as you and carries the weight of the world on their shoulders, perhaps, even they would question their sanity. I cannot explain why they have sent me back or what the price will be.We can only accept this and not squander the gift bestowed to us." They could not, and she would not either. No matter what the price would be, she was back for a reason. Perhaps it was to be his rock when no one else would. That would mean he would have to lean on her once more when no one else could suffice.

"Let me be your rock Ajax. I will help bear the weight on your shoulders to give yourself a reprieve. Just tell me how.." She gently urged as her fingers touched one of the roses that had bloomed on his chest. Her hair had snaked around her and was seeking out his exposed skin. The chill of him, in addition to the water that was slowly being absorbed gave her a small chill, just enough to raise the hairs along her body. Her brows knit together as she thought about him opening up to her. That had been difficult then, would it be the same now? When she took a breath, she looked around the room wondering where they would go now but she dared not ask him if they needed to leave.

Re: Out for blood (Ajax) Mature

Post by Ajax Matashina on Sun 24 Sep 2017, 20:59

She was ever the voice of reason and he sighed his face still hidden within the tresses of her hair. The world was such a confusing and frightening place to be and it only got worse as the years had gone on. Enemies had become stronger and more advances and immortals had become fewer, the majority of those left now were feral monsters. His mind had always been a comfort for him, he had always trusted himself to make decisions and to do what was right whether others believed so or not.
He had led his family through thousands of years, there had been losses yes, but the family still remained and he had made it so. Even when the Ancient clan had faced him, even when his own blood had perished his mind and strength had led them through. And now for the first time that was in question and it was truly a terrifying thing.

She mentioned his sanity and he closed his eyes. Little did she know...... She wanted answers she was seeking them subtly in the words she spoke to ease him, he was concerning her and out of everyone currently living he knew Eve would know that he was not right. She would know if he lied to her even though he had wanted to conceal it all away and deny what was happening. Even Hope Death-Reign had seen the changes in him. There would be no way he could hide such a thing from the likes of Eve, whom knew him more intimately then any other being that had lived.

He moved away from her, to sit across from her their legs entwined as he took her hands in his, metallic eyes searching her own. It had been so long since they had been one and so much had happened. So much blood shed and so much heart ache.
“Matthew would have told you that we have had to move into Death Manor. What he would not have told you is that Death Manor will soon no longer be safe either. Hope is doing her upmost to protect it while I search out somewhere else for us to go. To many have died to stake our claim on the land and stand firm. We have to let go of pride now and we have to flea for the good of our families. Days are coming which will be hard. I wish I could tell you that you have come back into a safe calm home... but it is far from it”
The words stung. All he had ever wanted to do was protect and it did not matter how strong he was someone stronger had always come along to knock them down a few pegs.

But that was not all, that was not what he dreaded telling her. It was not what he was afraid of.
Squeezing her hands gently he looked down upon them as his thumbs started to brush along each knuckle one after the other. She was old. Maybe not as old as he but she had seen what happened to the ancients. She had seen them perish or fall going to ground. He had outlived most of them by a long way but his days were numbered. He could feel the sickness in the very pit of him and there would be nothing that could be done to ease it from him. It was a curse of the ancients and it was there for a reason. Even Immortals eventually had to feel the burden of time.
“The sickness that has alluded me for all of these years and claimed all of the ancients before me... it no longer alludes me” he felt panic in the words, he felt weak and useless. He had time and he had been given all of these years yet now faced with the end it wasn't long enough. He had to save them, had to protect them all, their family and the new family with Hope. “It seeps in like ivy through brick, or water through stone. There is no stopping it. No relief... time is no longer endless for me Eve, I need to ensure Hope and our people are safe, I must do that. If I fail all I have done for all this time would be for nothing. I can not fail..”

Re: Out for blood (Ajax) Mature

Post by Eve on Wed 11 Oct 2017, 13:07

There was a short silence after she had spoken. He had been taking in her words and milling them over within his mind. As she sat there, embracing him and he embracing her, her eyes looked around the room. It seemed like all of this would be a memory once again in due time. There was little to be salvaged at this point and the only things she needed were him and the rose that Sauri had given her. Only these two things and the rest of the world did not fully matter. While a rose would not fight by her side, Ajax would and she would for him. If it meant giving her life up once more so he could live that is what she would do, even if it meant breaking his heart all over again. For what other purpose did the Gods return her to this realm if not to aid him?

When he moved away, the sudden rush of cold air that touched her bare skin caused her flesh to raise up in response. Her hair moved out along her body to shield her but not even that would be enough as her hair still dripped the water from her bath. Eve rolled her shoulders and adjusted to the cool air; her crystal eyes watching him carefully. There was something wrong, dread was pooling within those silver orbs of his. There was worry and fear ebbing off him to the point she could taste it on her lips.

He began to speak of what Matthew had only touched on, even Ajax didn’t fill her in completely and she was sure there was much still he would not speak of. The man had always been a private one and had wanted to hold the weight of the world upon his shoulders. She could only admire the pride up to a point, after all she was just as stubborn as he. The thought of them having to completely leave this land was a foreign concept for her. This was their home. The house, the garden, the land beneath them now. It was theirs and did not belong to some mere mortals who were going through puberty again. Their need for power always angered her. When they decide to turn their heads towards the Immortal, that was when it became personal. She had tormented them as a child, now she would torture and kill them as an adult in her prime.

Before she could speak there was a squeeze and she looked down at their hands. There was more to this than just what was going on with this “Ox Corp”. Crystalline eyes returned to look at his face and eyes. The next words out of his mouth removed all warmth from her body. Her lips parted as a quiet gasp past through them. She stared at him; shocked, at the thought that this curse that plagued their kind had finally caught up to him. There was no cure. There was no stopping it. No one had survived once it has its black inky tendrils on their soul. Denial was the first thought to go through her mind. No. She had only just gotten back and now she was going to lose him? Permanently? No. The gods were cruel but surely not even their sense of humor would deprive the World of this man that had done and given so much to others without any care of how it would affect himself? Her mind reprimanded her for being so selfish, she needed him but it seemed he truly did need her more. Eyes closed and she tilted her head back. There would be no tears. She had to remain strong but then why did they burn her eyes as she willed them back? Her body shuddered with the repression of her emotions as she lowered her head. ”How much time do you think you have left?” She asked in a voice just louder than a whisper. Eve could not look at him yet, not yet, he had seen her weak earlier but now he needed to see her strong. That is what she told herself.

When she finally looked at him, her defenses had returned. She would take in every detail of his body once more and the deeds of last night would be done again and again. She would not allow herself to resent the fact that he was here and still wanting to give his all to others when his end was catching up to him. ”What do you need me to do?” This question had more to it; she would be there for him to lean on and she would be there to help him fight or find whatever he needed. ”You wont fail them Ajax. You never have.” The man was very proud and she knew there were somethings she had to be delicate about; but, now was no longer the time for delicacy and instead hard truths.
