A brother's love. (Enya)

Post by Matthew M on Mon 04 Sep 2017, 10:46

Things at the new coven house were starting to settle down and everyone was starting to relax a little more now. The transition had gone about as well as it could have and people seemed to be settling in. Well most of them anyway.
It seemed to be business as usual. People were finding their grooves in this new family dynamic and they were getting on with it.
That was exactly what he had been doing. Matthew was not a home body he had never been one and that was pretty commonly known. He had enjoyed his previous job, trotting around the globe acquiring what ever Ajax had wanted. He had seen the world that way and he had never once felt trapped and caged. The new coven had seemed like one of those traps when he had first arrived so he had thrown himself into getting on with it and making connections which would allow him to spend time outside of the coven walls. It for the most part was working and Matthew was becoming more comfortable with the way things were.

But not everything was running smooth. There was a rather large spanner in the works and the spanner was an Enya shaped one.
Admittedly he had not spent a large amount of time with his little sister since the covens had merged, but in his defence he had not seen the need to. She was centuries old and had been living without incident for some time. He saw no need to baby his sister, he just went off and did his own thing, assuming she would be able to do the same within the new coven. But a scathing message from his sister said otherwise.
She was unhappy that they had not spent time together, she felt abandoned and alone in the new home and apparently that was his fault. He tried to understand her anger and even find some sympathy for it but he found he was lacking any guilt over it.
He had looked after her the best he could for the most part of their lives until he had taken the job travelling and he had left her in Lacrimosa. He knew she resented that but had never spoken about it. Now it seemed she had chosen her moment to inform him just how badly he had been failing her.

His reply had been short. He informed her she should meet him away from the coven. This argument or disagreement or what ever it was, was a personal one and nothing to do with the rest of the coven.
He had given her the location of a disused farm a few miles away from Death Manor and said to meet him there at 9pm.

9.10pm he walked into the farmstead his eyes scanning the place slowly before he located Enya sitting witnin a dusty old barn.
Walking across he ducked some spider webs before entering the building his expression one of a man ready for a lecture.
“Enya” he nodded to his little sister. He had missed her but he knew she wasn't feeling particularly sentimental.
“So you have something to say to me?” he asked quietly as he decided to take a seat upon one of the hay bales. “Lets hear it then squirt? What have I done this time?”

Re: A brother's love. (Enya)

The dinner. It was the last time she had seen her brother. Sure, she was used to him being away for quiet a long time. At first it didn't bother her. Well it did. It always did. Not for the fact that she didn't have faith in him Or his abilities. She knew he could handle everything Ajax and now Hope , asked of him. It was the constant fear that one day he wouldn't return.

She hated each mission he took. It seemed he jumped at every opportunity to be away from Ajax from their home, from her.

The circus had been her way to rebel at first, back in those earlier simple times. But over the centuries She had grown to love it and the freaks that called it home. She had made a life for herself, living, doing something she truely enjoyed. For a vampire it must seem truely odd to want to see smiles on children to hear their laughter. To know she had done that. For an old vampire, for she was, she and Matthew both, it was what kept her going. She could handle him leaving for times at a tine, for she too was doing something she enjoyed.

But now she had nothing, the oxen Corp had taken that as well. For her protection, Ajax had pulled or from the live she created and stuck her here amongst others if her kind. She hadn't been around others of her kind in centuries. She did t know how to mingle or fit in. This new family, with all of their problems yes, but they knew where they fit and what they could do. They had their on life and now Ajax and hope had thrown others into their lives their home. It seemed the only one that didn't fit was her.

She had though Ajax or matty would would make sure She was comfortable and he'll she didn't know..stable? She knew Ajax was going through a lot she couldn't really blame him...But she did too.

He had taken all away from her and thrust her into this New life without an instructions manual. What was she supposed to do now?

After the dinner everyone dispersed and that was the last she had seen of her brother and Ajax. Sure She tried to fit in, she had stumbled upon to males play fihjting. One was hopes brother the other...was a mixed breed? But she couldn't make herself intervene, it looked like they had things worked out them selves. Hopes sister, although a little shy, She though perhaps they could be friends. The child seemed nice enough. But She wad never out and about Marcus and hope having setup a barrier for her. And not knowing her place, She left that alone too. Then she thought perhaps hope would need someone to run supplies. Enya had experience with humans, surely she could go. But before she could knock or even bring up the idea She had assigned that to someone else as well.

She had spent days just walking y he compound But each member she came across seemed to be in the middle of something.

Staring at the four walls of her prison was making her stir crazy.

It was what drove her to send him the message. If he though his brat sister was going to have a trantrum, he"d come running. He always did. It was sad really, But it was a method that worked on him and one She would use time and time again to see him. It seemed to be the only way.

She got to the location early, check the perimeter and then resumed her pacing back and forth arguing in her head of What shed say and how. She was truly more hurt than angry but the two seemed to fuel one another.

Hearing the barn doors slide open, she looked up to see her adored bigger brother. Her eyed swept over him to make sure he was well. She stood and swiped her hands down her jeans removing the bits of straw.

His words almost, almost made her smile but then She remembered why she had called him.

She didn't know how she started the conversation, but the words tumbled from her lips As she told him how she was fitting in. They wanted to help too. How it hurt that he and Ajax just left her to fend for herself. Tears flowed heavily as She told him all this.
Her fingers clenched together as tear filled eyes looked to him.

"I understand the reason that Ajax hasn't been around...but I just thought ....even though you resent me, brother...that you would at least make sure I was coping...." she gave him a sad smile. Just as the flames kicked up. The dry hay in the barn igniting instantly. But she didn't see it. She consumed in her sadness.

" I rely on you so much and for that and for giving you this life you hate so much..I'm so sorry, but I wouldn't want life with out you brother...."

The small snark of anger was just that, an attempt to h d just how hurt she was, But in the end it all came spilling out She told him how She felt.

As he was expecting there was no awkward silence between the two of them, there was no warm up to the main conversation and even his attempt at dry humour didn't lessen the blows she was to deliver upon him as she threw herself head first into the route of her problem with him.
He folded his hands upon his lap and he watched her, he listened and he didn't once speak to interrupt her or to defend himself.
She was upset and he didn't like it, he never had yet it was always inevitable where he was involved.
He had spent the majority of his life as the one in the shadows. Their parents had been focused on their hatred of what she was and they had forgotten about him, only noticing him when he stood before his sister, only a small boy with his arms outstretched trying to protect them from harming their 'Cursed' child.
When they were free, he devoted his life to her, to raising her and to protecting her. The burns he had suffered in human life and in death afterwards had been many and numerous yet he had never fled from her. She was his to protect and he had done a damn good job.

Until Ajax. The vampire had wanted her for her gift and he had taken her, no matter how hard Matthew had tried to fight and pry her away from him Ajax won. He didn't matter. He was ordinary and unwanted, only turned because Enya could not will herself to live without him. And then for a long time as Ajax tried to help Enya develop he was forgotten. A shadow child until something snapped and he began to change, to rebel and to stretch out. Those years had been hard on him. They had been hard on them both and eventually he was given his role by Ajax to travel the globe and he had welcomed it. He needed to become an individual, not just his sisters shadow protector.

He knew it had hurt Enya and he felt bad as tears slid down her face. He sighed standing and turning his back so not so see her pain as she spoke. A cigarette rose to his lips as he lit it. He may have been good at hiding his own emotions but she was not the only one to suffer and to feel pain. He felt that sometimes she forgot that, sometimes they all did. Matthew was but a tool, a pawn for getting things done. He had always felt that way and he and Ajax had come to blows over it many times in the past, even so Matthew remained loyal in his love for his Matashina family and would until the end of his days.

Her final words cut him as a blade would and he flinched “I do not resent you. I resent this” he swept his hand before himself as his shoulders sagged. The stench of her flames filling the barn yet he did not notice his mind in turmoil at her words and the cigarette smoke masking the smell, his back still to his little beloved sister.
“The fact that you rely on me is the reason I stay away Enya” he sighed exasperated. He may have seen uncaring but it was not true. “You need to be able to survive without me. You need to be strong and able to adapt yourself. What if Ox corp kill me, Enya. What then?” he sighed. They had lost many, he was not indestructible despite his sisters desire for him to be. “I need to know you would cope”

Smoke... smoke moved across the floor as he glanced down to his legs, it was rising. And suddenly he became more alert. The crackling would of flames behind him sounded in his ears. “Not Again...”
He had been an idiot not to draw her out from the barn, where everything was so flammable. He should have known better but it had been so long since she had slipped with her abilities he did not consider the risks.

Spinning round he saw the hay bale behind her aflame, it was spreading fast already up in the rafters, Enya oblivious to it as it was her creation. The heat swept the room as he started to step towards her.
“Enya look, Call it back!” he yelled knowing it was too late, the frame of the barn setting alight, within seconds the whole thing was up, the wooden beams above their heads splintering and stating to fall away.
Running forward he slammed himself into Enya, throwing them back into the hay bale. The flames would not burn her yet they would him. But he had no choice as a rafter fell behind him where she had stood moments before.

Moving to the covenant she thought things would be different especially since a women was running things. Purhaps shed be giving a task just like her brother or the others. The order never came though. Not a single request. It seemed the occupants of the house only showed up to mingle because it was mandatory. The Death s home wasn't yet her home. Nothing belonged to her except what shed brought with her, which wasn't much. She was used to being active. Getting up doing chores and then preparing for her performance. Here.....everyone seemed to have their place but not her.

As her brother tackled her into the hay bails the breath left her lungs and she blinked in confusion. Slowly awareness warranted drawing a harsh gasps from her throat. Dread consumed her. No..no..no...she hadn't lost control in ages...hearing a moan she looked down to see Matty over her like a shield. The fire quickly consuming everything in its path. Matty...she was always hurting him..emotionally and physically...seeing his sleeve catch fire drew her into action. She gently escorted out from under him seeing the support beam laying across his leg.

Sorrow made tears form seeing him like this...this was her fault. Hands clenched she breathed in centering herself. Thrusting out her hands. She swept them outward recalling the flames that was on and surrounding her brother. She couldn't do anything for the burn except take the heat from it, but he would still need care. The flames still licked up the sides of the barn engulfing the while place in an inferno. Matty and herself the fire avoided. Kneeling down beside her brother she looked at his unconscious form before grabbing hold of the beam. Panting softly she used her anger to help lift and toss the thing off of him.

With a small smile she knelt once more to try and and lift him but he was much larger and heavier than she and her strength was waning as she held off the fire. It was to large to call it back, she could only keep it from reaching her brother...

It was on the sixth try that she tried to lift him, that she felt the small bite of the tranquilizer dart sink into the back of her neck.

Arms around her brothers torso, She dropped to a knee. Shoulders hunched over, sweat beading her face. With one hand she reached and plucked the thing from her neck looking at it in confusion for a moment just before She felt fear. Oxen.

She felt another sting hit her neck, laying Matty down, she rose wobbly to her feet.

She would not allow Matty to be taken...

The fire was like a sweet caress. A lovers touch. It responded to her emotions. Her need to protect her brother. Her fear of what oxen could do if they got their hands on him.

With Matty in danger her strength increased. The fire inside the barn swirled like a tornado as it came to her. She turned in the direction on the two soldiers who entered the inferno, guns trained on her ...but as she saw the or her aimed at her brother....the sound that came from her mouth startled one if the soldiers. The fire raced towards the two men and with a slash of her hand it plowed into them throwing them against the side of the barn. Controlling the fire she did it again as she swept them to the other side into the engulfed hay bales. More soldiers enter guns trained as she stood in front of her brother, blocking him from their view.

She lost count as to how many entered and how many she swept away with the fire whip. They were surrounded by fire She and Matty. Still keeping it from him...

Her vision blurred...did the soldiers double??

Her body felt like lead..the only resolve was to save Matty......

She sank to the ground beside him...one of her hands still outstretched...she couldn't fight them...keeping a wall of fire between them and oxen...

Never would such an injury have knocked Matthew down for long and it certainly would never have been able to make him lose consciousness but he still suffered silently from the effects of the silver nitrate UV round he had been shot with over a week before. He was improving but it was a slow process, yet he had not complained about it as by all rights it should have killed him straight off anyway. He had been very lucky to have pulled through the wound so well. Had Karne not found him he would have been long gone and only a memory to his little sister.

"Oh God..." he groaned as life returned to him once again, his consciousness returning to him quickly. Aware of painful burn wounds he winced his hands stretching out upon the barn floor beneath him so he could begin to lift himself again.
Hands and knees... effort yet he did it. "What the fuck Enya" he groaned dizzy and disorientated as he rose his gaze to steadily focus. Smoke and flame thick in the air.

It had taken him a moment to see his sister and realise that something was very wrong. A lot more wrong then a simple barn fire. And just like that he woke up, brain firing on all cylinders as he became aware of his sibling being in danger.

Upon his feet quickly, he stumbled once with a wince, the burn upon the backs of his legs full thickness and painful yet he didn't fall his eyes scanning through the black smoke to see the familiar outlines of soldiers.
What the hell were they doing this far out?

"Enya?" he looked down to her his eyes stinging badly from the fire yet he was able to see the darts on the floor. "Shit" grabbing her arm he yanked her up quickly making no effort to ensure her comfort he threw her across his shoulder, pain shooting up his legs as he turned searching for a way out of the rapidly disintergrating barn.
They had to get out before she passed out, or else he wouldn't be able to walk through the flames. He would burn to death and the soldiers would take her.
How the hell did it come to this..

"Don't pass out or we're fucked, Kid"he growled starting his escape towards what would have been the side entrance into the barn. "Hold them off"

H O P E . D E A T H - R E I G N
Vampire || Wraith

Hope had a little more spring in her step as she stepped out of the shower. Her shoulders visibly more relaxed and the sparkle in her eye had returned. It seemed she had found the answer to finally releasing the tension she felt and it came in the form of Matthew. Their romp earlier had proven to be the best kind of medicine and despite the burden on her shoulders, the small reprieve from being leader had had a very powerful and positive effect. True, their romp was just that, a physical action that was enjoyed by both parties involved but the no strings attached relationship was just what she needed. She had done the whole committed relationship thing and all it had gotten her was a broken heart. No, she wasn't ready to offer her heart up on platter again, not when apart of it still belonged to Ryu. But for now, Matthew was hitting all the right spots and that's all she wanted and needed.

Drying off, her mind went to Ajax as she knew the he had sired Matthew. She wondered how he would feel about them being in bed with one another. She debated telling him but as she thought about his mental state, she decided it was best to keep it between them. Besides it only added to the excitement of the whole thing. A secret lover. It made her smirk as the thought pleased that bad girl inside her. She had been coloring inside the lines for a little too long and Matthew was proving to be just the thing to make her feel somewhat herself again. She had never denied being selfish and having this all to herself appeased a thirst in her that blood would never satisfy. It pleased her to think that the rebel in her was still alive, no matter how small she may be.

Pulling the off the shoulder sweater over her head, she ran the towel through the ends of her hair. She looked out her window across the grounds and the woods past it. She wondered how much longer she would have this view. She knew Ajax was working on finding them a safe place, a sanctuary where they would be safe. Hope doubted that such a place existed but she knew that one way or another they couldn't stay here. She never thought of herself as a sentimental creature but she respected the history in these walls and the thoughts of being the one who would go down in the history books as the leader who took the Deaths from Death manor sat uneasily with her. Deep down all she wanted was security, She longed for the day when her biggest concern was not getting caught sneaking out of the house. Unfortunately she knew those days had long since passed and her life was now going to be one of nothing but concern, not for herself, but for those she was now responsible for.

A subtle glow caught her eye as she stared out into the distance. Her brows furrowed as she moved closer toward the pane. The glow grew, an amber color flickering among the shadows of the trees and then moments later plums of smoke followed. Fire, there was a fire in the woods. It was concerning but Hope wasn't initially alarmed. There was nothing over that direction only an old abandoned farm. A farm Matthew said earlier he would be meeting his sister at. Then, lights further off in the distance, 4x4's swarming the area. Hope would have known those vehicles anywhere. " Shit... " she muttered as she realized the fire had attracted some unwanted attention. She quickly pulled out her phone and rang Matthew hoping he would pick up and tell her he was already on his way home. " Fuck sake Matt pick up... " she muttered but all she got was his voicemail.

" Shit " she said as she shoved the phone back into her pocket. Things after that moved quickly for Hope. She grabbed a jacket and her favorite weapon when dealing with Oxen Corp. A newly modified whip that was inspired, in part by Ajax. She had taken the whip, broke it down and rebuilt it. The core of the whip no longer fabric but titanium and were there was once a smooth service now there were barbs, much like the thorns on the vines of Ajax's arm. They were razor sharp and with Hope's strength could easily rip a man in half and that is exactly what she intended to do. The leather had been replaced purely for aesthetic purposes. Grabbing the handle she made her way toward the door, alone. Apart of her knew she should have brought someone with her or even sent someone in her stead. But she was done staying behind closed doors and letting everyone else have all the fun. She hadn't shed any blood in weeks and she wasn't going to let this opportunity pass her by.

On her bike, she weaved in and out the woods at speed with great ease. She knew these woods like the back of her hand and she knew she had the advantage out here. The only thing she was really concerned about was Ox Corp discovering Death Manor. She knew it was invisible, at least to the mortal eye but that last thing she wanted was for some soldier to follow them home and notice them disappearing into thin air. It would have been a dead giveaway and above all the safety of the manor was paramount. The closer she got to the farm, the louder and brighter the fire became. She sighed inwardly. Why was it always fire? Reeving the engine, her speed increased and she emerged from the woods airborne. The soldiers closest to the treeline would have only seen a glimpse of her pale skin and dark hair before the vine whip wrapped around them and tore them apart, spraying blood everywhere. The scent in the air made Hope's adrenaline rush and her fangs protruded on top her hot pink lips.

Landing skillfully, Hope moved toward the barn, slashing and tearing at anyone who got in her way. She knew in a few moments bullets would be flying so she wanted to use the element of surprise to its best advantage. " Matt? " Hope called out looking for any sign of him among-est the soldiers but she couldn't see him. It seemed that he was still inside the barn that was by now almost entirely engulfed by flames. A pop came from behind her and she moved, the bullet stinging as it grazed her jumper and exposed a piece of skin to the silver. Stopping, she inspected the damage, placing her finger in the hole. " This was my mother's. " she muttered, rage in her eyes as the whip, like an extension of her arm wrapped the soldiers waist and in a few agonizing seconds, tore through his body. The two halves of his body falling to the ground much to the horror of his colleagues who then began to return fire.

Moving, she headed toward the side of the building where she thought she heard some movement coming from inside. It was faint and hard to make out from the rest of the noise going on around her but she was almost certain Matt was still inside. Mentally preparing herself, she picked up as much speed as she could muster, what must have looked like a blur to the humans, but she knew it was the only way she would make it through the flames relatively unscathed. It went against every fiber of her vampuric being to run into those flames but she knew she had too. Ajax was barely clinging to what little sanity he had and she didn't think he would survive the loss of a fledgling on top of everything else. She knew Ajax was a ticking time bomb but she was trying to buy him and the covenant as much time as possible before he eventually blew and if keeping Matt alive was going to do that then so be it.

Shutting her eyes, she braced herself as the heat prickled her skin and she ran into the flames, hoping to find an area that wasn't engulfed in flames where Matt may have been inside. As she passed through the flames, the heat licked at her skin, an all to familiar feeling. She had only just begun to heal from the burns Ryu had given her and now once again she was trying to heal from burns only this time her whole body was involved rather then one localized area. She prepared herself to find the charred corpse of Matthew inside but instead she found him in relatively good condition, his sister over his shoulder. Staring for a moment, he was clearly heading toward the door she had just entered from. " Matt wait! " she said knowing there was nothing waiting out there for him but bullets. She had to come up with something else.

Looking around, the heat was overwhelming and there didn't seem like another way out.  Looking back at Matt she tried to give him a smile. " Nice little mess you got yourself into this time Matty. " she said as she could see he was struggling physically. He was still healing from the UV round and now he was riddled with bullets again. With no other way out Hope knew they were going to have to go out there and she had to let Matt know what was happening. " Right, there's about a half dozen soldiers out there, all silver rounds from what I can tell but there's more reinforcements on the way so we need to get out of here now if we have a shot. " Hope was like a military commander as she spoke, cool, calm, collected. She was proving herself to be every bit the child solider of war she had been reared to be.

" I'll take Enya, you look like you can barely hold yourself up never-mind her, I'll cover you. " She had formulated a plan in her head and she wasn't leaving Matthew room to negotiate. She was still the head of this coven and no matter how good he was in the bedroom, she wasn't about to let him forget it. " My bike is out there, to the right. The keys are the ignition. Grab the bike and come back for Enya. I'll be right behind you. " Hope had no intention of getting on that bike with him. She had to make sure the soldiers didn't follow him to the Death Manor, they were already too close for comfort. " I'm going to keep them busy, make sure they don't get to close to Death Manor. You get your ass to the house with Enya. No arguments. "

That was the end of discussion in Hope's eyes. She wasn't trying to be a martyr. No, she fully intended on coming out of this alive and taking out every solider who was in her way. Matthew and Enya in their current state was only going to slow her down and once they were safe she wouldn't have to worry about Ajax anymore. She could enjoy the kill. Standing in front of Matthew, she reached to take his sisters limp body. She placed Enya over her shoulder in a similar fashion that Matthew had. Her whip in hand, she moved back toward the doors and an ever growing wall of flames. " You good? " she asked making sure he was on board with this whole thing before facing the flames again. Hope wasn't the kind of leader who just sat in the house and let everyone else do the fighting. She wanted to be in the trenches, she liked getting her hands dirty and Hope was long overdue a good old fashioned bloodbath. Running, she made it through the flames once more, Enya hanging off her shoulder, her whip flying forward ready to rip into anyone in her path.

The silver spread through her body cramping her muscles and setting her world on fire. A fire in which she didn't nor could handle. The pain was like nothing shed ever felt as it burned and searched it's way through her system. Her outstretched hand wavered as she felt control, but the pain was to much. The showing threw her skin. Gasping, she fought for control if she let the actual fire run it's course, Matty could get hurt

Feel a strong hand grip hers And heft her up, her vision blurred and a pain shot through her head as picked her up.

She raised her other hand to push against him, "get out...I can..finish them..." but she wouldn't let go of the inferno not with her brother in the middle if it.

A spasm raked through her body and her fingers curled and teeth clenched. Her temperature dropped and she became clammy although She was burning inside. "Get ...out...let me..de..destroy them..." She said between spasm of pain. Leaving her weary, she let Matt support her. Yes, shed just ....she turned her heard at the sound of a voice....Hope....what was...she doing here. Thoughts of Hope getting hurt made her struggle even more, this was be mess...shed clean it up, but her body quit listening to her commands and soon the pain engulfed her. Not even the lure of the fire could bring her out of it. It was just constant pain on and endless loop....

She didn't feel the exchange as Matt passed her to Hope.
She went under, losing her control of the fire.....

This was all a bloody nightmare... It was always a nightmare. No matter what he did he would always make waves with someone. Usually someone blood related to him. Gritting his teeth he bit back a yell as bullet after bullet found themselves home within his flesh the soldiers who had arrived outside seeming to be firing at will. Each one threatened to floor him yet it did not. He had his sister and he would protect her no matter what. If death came for him later so be it, but he would be damned if he let Enya fall.
“Shut up... you couldn't find your way out of a packet of crisps kid..” he muttered as his sister tried to play a hard game stating she would finish them all. Of course she probably could have had she not been pumped with tranqs and Silver. She was the powerful one of the two of them, yes he may have been physically her better but he could do nothing compared to his kid sister. He only wished he could, that way he could have got her out of this mess.

Flames spread quicker then he could move, his legs bleeding heavily with each step, parts of the barn had begun to fall down and soon he knew the whole lot would be on top of them. He focused on making it out, even if that meant walking through the flames then that was what he planned to do.
Then through the very flames he was aiming for a figure jumped through, the voice now very well known to him. Her figure blurry before burning eyes he grinned the best he could. He wished she wasn't there endangering herself but he sure could have used the help and was glad she had come.
“Hey... you thought I was hot before, what about now huh?” he steadied himself moving closer to her as she started to give him directions.
Despite his urge to go against what she said Matthew was a good soldier, Hope out ranked him and he would do as he was told. Like it or not.

Lifting Enya from his shoulders he steadied her in Hope's grip before taking a step backwards looking at the two of them he acknowledged for that split second that he may never lay eyes upon either of them again and with that he turned away, hurling himself at speed through the flames, the heat meeting his flesh as he came out the other side, paying no mind to any soldiers that were waiting for him.
He was running on fumes, what were a few more bullets after all?

Running to the right he found the bike and wasted no time starting it off and bringing it around to the building so he could collect Enya from Hope. Pulling his sister across him as secure as he could he nodded to Hope “Thanks. I'll drop her off and I will come back”
With that he sped away from the scene leaving the carnage behind him as he ensured no one followed before eventually finding his way back to Death Manor

Had they not all been in mortal danger Hope might have responded to Matthew's flirtatious quip. She did find him hot and he had proven to be exactly what she needed. She wasn't sure if it was the sex or the blood but Hope hadn't felt this good, well ever. His blood seemed to have the same effect as steroids would on a human. It's probably why she so recklessly turned up without any help and felt like she could take on a whole army by herself. She felt invincible and she was loving it. If this was what it felt like to get old then Hope couldn't wait to feel like this every day.

With Enya safely on her shoulder, she nodded to Matthew as he looked back at them. She hadn't ignored the fact that for most this was basically a suicide mission. Matthew was already weaker because of previous injuries and Hope probably shouldn't have come out here on her own without letting anyone know. But somehow, this rush, the adrenaline pumping through her system made it all worth it. Somehow Hope didn't really feel alive until her life was in danger. It was warped but it was just who she was. House life hadn't been sitting well with Hope and as crazy as is sounded, this is exactly what she had needed.

Matthew ran out and Hope followed quickly after him. Her whip aiming for the weapons that were aimed at Matthew. Ripping them from the hands of the soldiers. It didn't stop them for long but it gave Matthew a clear path to get to the bike. Hope held onto Enya as best she could but the truth was she couldn't wait to get her off her back then she could really show these Ox Corp assholes what she was made of. As Matthew pulled up she handed his sister over to him. He nodded she presumed in gratitude seeing as she just saved both their asses and said he would back. She didn't mind whether he was or not. She fully intended on dosing this damn fire with their blood and leaving nothing but bones and teeth for their families to identify them by.

As Matthew sped off, a bullet hit her arm. The silver burned but the pain was more bearable then usual. It still hurt but it wasn't as crippling as she had previously experienced. " Motherfucker.. " she muttered as her whip once again became an extension of her hand. It moved from her side to around the soldiers neck. The barbs digging into his flesh as he tried to release it but it was too late. Moments later his head was rolling around the feet of his colleagues. They didn't know it yet but they would soon be joining him. Digging the bullet out, it dropped to the floor and she smirked. She was alone, she had never faced Ox Corp alone before but she was more then ready.

Years of pent up aggression and stress was about to be unleashed upon these human men. She didn't really care about who they were or who was at home waiting for them. They were wearing the uniform that had brought nothing but pain into her life. Anytime she had faced them before she had those she loved with her and she would never purposely endanger those she loved. But now it was just her and she was free to destroy these men however she saw fit without judgement or worry that those she loved would be in danger. It was like Christmas had come early. Every human was like a gift and she intended on ripping them all open.

The bike ride seemed to take forever as he held his sister carefully against him giving her the occasional glance to make sure she was OK. They were both stained in blood and as sure as he was that most of it was probably his he still worried about how many times she could have been hit. It was slight consolation that she had fallen under the weight of sedation pretty quickly so he had been able to protect her from most of the volleying bullets even if he had to feel their sting himself.

Adrenaline coursed through him, the time limit aiding it which for now was a helpful thing for him. Weaker then he should have been the bullets were enough to put him down for the foreseeable future yet he kept moving. The thought of getting his sister safe and the thought of returning to make sure Hope had not got herself killed spurring him on way past any physical limitations.

Death Manor came into sight. It had taken longer to get back then it should have but he had taken a scenic route to ensure that no one had followed them. Only once he was sure everyone was safe did he actually dare head towards the building itself.

Skidding to a stop, he near lost control of the bike but managed to steady himself before hitting the ground, pulling his sister to him he climbed off and darted into the house, not caring to check if any of the others were around. Into his bedroom he lay his sister. Giving her one quick look over to make sure she was ok he sighed and turned away running back outside to the bike.
He had no idea how long the sedation would last but he hoped that he would be back in time so she did not have to panic upon waking up.

Starting the bike up once more he shot off down the dirt tracks at speed hoping that he could get to Hope before anything Dire were to happen to her.

Re: A brother's love. (Enya)

Post by Enya M on Fri 29 Dec 2017, 01:01

Eyes moved behind closed lids. Memories best forgotten replayed over and over. She was but a child a mere mortal hopelessly in love. A foolish fleeting moment. A lovers embrace. She had felt nothing like this before. The blush on her cheeks the warmth in her breast spreading, all consuming. She was with the one she loved...then the warmth spread and fire leaped between them. He screamed in agony. The flames engulfing all surrounding. Life and death this beauty of fire. A blessing. A curse. Nothing but sorrow and grief for all days. Surrounded by the flames she was forever shielded, safe, but alone. Always alone. A troubled past, a troubled upbringing, a troubled maker she is stamped.

Forcing her self from the memories from the negative lonesome thoughts, she a freak of nature always causing trouble.... trouble!! The fire! The barn! With a ratcheted sob she forced herself awake sitting straight up. No...no..not again. Her hands flew to her mouth to stop the sobs from escaping. Squeezing her eyes shut she cursed herself. Could she not be normal....Ajax should have killed her centuries ago. Her mind was not stable and what stability she had had been ripped from her and she was tossed into this place with no rhyme or reason. No purpose no duty to keep her mind busy and so....her thoughts spiraled and spiraled and the anchor she knew and needed hadn't been around in days... she could feel herself spiraling and know one to turn to...Ajax had holed himself in his quarters or left all together...she was abandoned once again. The Manson was just a shell for those that lived there. From what could see know one even liked each other. It was not but a coffin for them all. For their solitary lives.

From where she sat she could see the smoke rise above the trees....she had to get there...stop it....

Tears streaming, she tossed the covers from her body in an attempt to run but instead found herself falling to her hands on the floor..her legs stiff and tingling barely moved an inch. Then she remembered....the darts. Gasping kneaded her legs vigorously. "Come on, come on....!!! She begged her body. Her brother and hope was out there...with a huff she dragged herself off the bed and to the window sill. Pushing the frames open she searched for her brother...for Hope...

A thought crossed her mind....a way to help...

She closed her eyes and locked all of her feelings away to center and calm.. she reached out with both hands as she sat on the window sill. She practiced her breathing and pictured the fire. It's enormous flame engulfing the barn. She could feel it's ferocity, it's heat. The feeling blossoming in the center of her chest...yes...thats it...if only...

She was lost in the flame as it cradled her, she called to it to return home. To once again slumber.

Come.

The barn behind Hope had continued to burn at an un-natural rate even by a fire's standerd but Hope was making the most of the situation. Picking up a stray leg she tossed it into the fire, clearing the area around her of all the bodily debris she had created. What were once fully formed humans were now nothing more then torn spare parts sprayed across the ground. Bones, organs, limbs, it was a fierce and bloody sight to behold. She had done some of the soldiders a favour killing them, they would have never recovered from the sights they had seen today.

Adding more fuel to the fire, she was trying to leave as little evidence behind as possible. She knew it was only a matter of time before reinforcements arrived and despite having already created a massicre, she was prepared to face whatever came her way. It was foolish, sending Matthew away leaving herself alone but she had never felt stronger. Matthew's blood was having an affecton her even now and she was enjoying every minute of it. If this is what it felt like to be an older vampire, she couldn't wait to get a few centuries under her belt. But for now, she hoped that Matthew would agree to share, especially if she repaid him the way she had only a few hours earlier.

Walking around, she found a boot with a foot still in it. She smirked, her loathing for the people in the uniform far outshone any remorse she may have felt. Her mother had tried to teach them that all life was valuable, that they could survive without killing but that all changed with the first eradication, as had her mother. Except for tjhe first few years of her life, Hope had essentially grown up in a war zone. A kill or be killed life and until now she hadn't really thought it had made any difference on who she was. But seeing as she could easily rip threw a half a dozen men without so much as blinking, she began to wonder about who she was becoming.

Tossing the boot into the fire, she noticed a change. The fire seemed to have stopped spreading and seemed to be much more controlled then before. She eyed suspiciously not entirely sure how or why it was happening but relieved it was all the same. She didn't want it spreading through the Black Woods and reaching the manor. The charms may have protected the house from sight but she doubted it was protected from fire. She didn't want to wait around and find out. Hearing the distinctive sound of her bike in the distance, she pulled out her hot pink lipstick and reapplied it. She ignored the fact that she was covered in blood, brain matter and other bodily fluids. She was certain it wasn't all something Matt had seen before, the only difference being that this time it was on a far nicer canvas.

Leaving his sister in such a state felt wrong, everything about it all was wrong. As he drove through the woods anger coursed through him, keeping him going. How could he have been so foolish to turn his back to Enya and not watch her every move and how could she have been so foolish to put herself in such a position. They were both near on Ancients and they had both been total idiots ruled by their annoyances with one another. Not had they damaged themselves. They had endangered themselves, they had endangered Hope and worse they could have potentially endangered the entire coven simply because of a sibling's spat. It may have been centuries old but it was not worth it.

The trees zipped passed him and soon he arrived besides the flamed out barn. The return trip hadn't taken as long but he had not had to worry about a unconscious passenger the second time around.
Pale eyes darted back and forth taking in the view of carnage and he smiled in relief. Hope had demolished them all, she had bought them time to recover and retreat back to the safe manor waiting for them.

Climbing off the bike he cringed, now that things were calmer his attention wasn't so easily drawn away from the injuries he had sustained. His calves were badly burned in places through to the bone, muscle charred yet healing at a slower rate then usual.
Silver bullets had punched half a dozen holes through him in various places each one bleeding freely yet he still continued to move.
He wanted to get to Hope.

Walking the small distance to her he looked her upwards and downwards. She had done very well and not gained any major injuries, in fact she looked great. Blood stained and tussled suited her. "You look Hot" he was quiet and in pain but he had to appreciate who stood before him.
"I got her back to the house" he noticed the flames and knew she was awake. A sigh in relief sagged his shoulders and nearly brought him to the floor, another worry of his easing.
"It's best we get back before their friends come looking for them"

The concentration had taken awhile for her to achieve. She was still battling the disappointment of having slipped her control. The fear of endangering her Brother and Hope was very overwhelming in itself, but she knew she could salvage this, she just had too.

She had to blank her mind, put all her fears and doubts to the side, to concentrate on the power she had unleashed. She had to call it back, to stop it from getting to the woods, to the house.

As she perched on the window seal, she opened herself up to that part of her that housed all of that energy. Reaching with all her might to call back its raging fury. Her raging fury.

It took hold and was like a snap to her soul, if vampires could have a soul. She was her self but wasn't, not until she touched the most intimate part of her self; that roiling caging inferno that had always lived inside her. She touched it and it called to her embracing her. She knew this power, knew it could not hurt her.

As soon as she touched her power, something snapped within her, pulling her ever closer to the heat. It licked at her skin and consumed her body.

She could tell that her power responded to her, she had reached it, caught it, but she wasn't quiet strong enough to reel it back. As her core temperature rose to match that of the blaze, the silver that was in her system started to bead off her skin like sweat. As it rolled off her skin, it seared and burned, leaving red marks as it pooled and congealed in a puddle at her feet, but it could not match the inferno she was in.

Panting softly, she willed her power back, for it stop, as she struggled to rain in it, despair settled that she wasn't strong enough and the fear for her brother and for Hope, opened the flood gates to her psyche.

Images, memories surfaced. She was human, a young child. She remembered this...The two adults had been her parents...she was three and a bauble had caught her attention. Shiny and something new, she had reached for it only to have pushed it off the edge, to fall to the ground and break. The sound was deafening but not so much as the hard slap across her face. The sting it left and soon others followed to where she had fallen, the blows coming more frequent, hitting over and over. Soon they stopped and through blurred eyes, she saw her brother standing in front of her, arms outstretched to protect her.

The image flickered and soon old memories passed through her sight off other times he had stepped in like that, to stop the blows but to only have them settle on himself. The images changed, they aged but the outcome had always been the same.

The shame, fear, hurt had always come afterwards, but he had been there, always. Back then she couldn't comprehend what she was seeing, but having lived for centuries, she could now pick out the details of these memories. He had always taken her beatings for her had cared for her even as she hurt him. She could see his face clearly now. She saw how he felt.

The memory of her as a tween and the human male flickered, but his face... she couldn't even recall what he looked like now... but the image changed to that of her brother being engulfed in the fire, his blood curdling scream piercing her ears making her feel sick to her stomach. She had done this.. in all of her memories, she could see he suffered and now.. she had done it again again...

She screamed with the image of her brother as he burned to death in her "memory'. If any was around to hear, it was the most chilling scream anyone could make. One of completely loss/failure/pain...

Seeing him in pain that she caused, her eyes where a never ending flood of tears. This had giving her the will power to take it all back, to make it stop!

Her scream ended as the rush of power knocked her from the window sill, back to the floor where she lay conscience from the force of drawing all of that back and from the shear mental state of seeing her brother die... because of her. She had caused him a great deal of pain over the course of their lives.

The fire at the barn had consumed all the Hope had thrown into it, as Enya could only stabilize it and stop it from advancing thus the controlled fire could eat away at what was in it. As Enya;s fear for them grew at seeing the distorted memory, she called it all back swallowing ever last bit of fire that raged in that barn.

It didn't take long for the sound of her motorcycle to grow closer but as Matt closed in, vehicles could be heard coming from the opposite direction, a lot of them. Hope didn't need to be psychic to know that Ox Corp reinforcements were on the way and they weren't being slow about it either. If Matthew didn't put his foot down he was going to get a bigger welcome then he was expecting or probably prepared for. That was okay though, with Hope pumped up on ancient blood, she felt ready for anything.

But as Matthew pulled up, her baby still in tact and relatively unscathed unlike Matthew who looked like a living bleeding pin cushion. That hadn't stopped him coming back for her though, he could have stayed at the manor and looked after himself and his sister. Instead he dragged his ass back down here, not knowing what he was driving into in the state he was in. It was insane but she liked it. It showed loyalty and she hoped it wasn't just because he had gotten in her pants a few hours earlier.

He hobbled over to her and she smirked, even now he was flirting with her. " Not bad yourself. " she chuckled as she appeared relatively unscathed considering she had taken on a small fleet of soldiers. For a moment she thought Matthew was going collapse and she decided that she wasn't going to stick around for round two with Ox Corp. She wasn't sure how much more Matthew could take with him recovering from the UV rounds on top of everything else.

" They'll be lucky to find teeth. " she muttered feeling rather proud of herself. Part of her wished Knigh had been there to see it, he would of been proud. " Come on tough guy, I'm driving. " she said taking the keys from his hands. Like with most things in life, she liked to be in the driving seat and with Matthew in the condition he was in she was in hell about to let him drive her baby again. " I'll let you hold on extra tight. " she smirked as she stood beside him just in case he did fall.

Mounting her bike, she straddled it, looking like one of those models in the showrooms. The difference was she could actually drive the machine and knew how to do it well. " Come on, I'll go easy on you. " she promised with a glint in her eye. As Matthew mounted the bike, she started the engine that vibrated beneath them. " Also, remind me never to make your sister mad. " she teased making a comment on what she thought was his sister's bad temper. It worried Hope somewhat as the last thing she needed was some psychotic ancient girl who liked to start fires living in her house but that would have to be cleared up later. For now, she was just going to get Matt home in one piece so she could put him back together again.

She flattered his ego a little in return and though she lied through her teeth he smiled in response as they both moved now away from the burning barn and towards the motorbike he had thankfully not destroyed though he had come close once or twice.
The sounds of ever approaching tires was within his mind as they moved but he was confident that Hope would get them both out of there in time. He was in no fit state to ride again and he probably shouldn't have driven back but he was glad he had if only for the peace of mind alone.

She had taken the keys from him and he did not protest laughing lightly as she mentioned holding on tight. The thought sounded good but he didn't dwell on it. He needed to get home and check on his sister so he could know that she was alright. Then he could worry about other things, like the matter of fact that he felt like he was about to drop into hibernation for a century.

Climbing upon the bike took a lot more out of him then he would have liked to admit, the burns to his legs making movement an issue but he bit it back not intending on acting like a wuss in front of Hope so soon after he had shown off his strengths in other areas.

Each bump was felt in a way it had not been noticed before due to the urgency but he was thankful for each one as they meant that they were getting closer to home and further away from those who could put them in the ground for good. God forbid they had been caught out there again and Hope had gotten into trouble he was unsure there was much he could have done about it.

As the bike pulled up outside he dismounted giving Hope a squeeze to her shoulder or reassurance that he hadn't died behind her but also one of thanks as he moved as quickly as his body allowed back into the house and up to his room to see if the effects of the tranqs had worn out of Enya's system.

"Enya?" stepping around the door his eyes fell upon the now empty bed, his heart in his throat for a moment until he realised she hadn't gone far and was still out of it.
Going to her he dropped his weight from his legs and onto his knees, teeth gritting as he placed a hand to his sister's forehead.
"Hey, time to get up"

Feeling a cool hand on her forehead against the blistering heat of hers was refreshing. She stirred under his gaze and slowly opened her eyes. Vision blurred, she blinked to clear it. Matt was directly over her straight in her line vision. They widened and she threw herself at him. Matt I didn't kill you!" her memory, fear had been so real. She had felt like it actually happened.

She squeezed her eyes tightly as she held him then just to be sure she held him at arms length and the bottom of her stomach heaved at the sight...

Her worst fear was of him dying but this was one of the worst things she never wanted to see.

Her face showed all of her emotions, when it came to her brother she could hide nothing. She was so relieved to see him.

Without a second thought she offered him her wrist. She knew her blood as ancient as him would heal him. With the silver purged from her body she was no longer tainted. She knew it wouldn't make up for all the hurt and suffering she caused him through his life, but she could heal these physical sounds at least.

Her yes drifted to behind him to Hope. Two things came into perspective, she loved her brother and needed to be better and the second....the two if them had been together. His sheets had smelled different..and as she had launched herself at him it was there again. It was Hopes scent.

Strangely, it didn't bother her. She wanted him to be happy and she did that for him.. then ..then Good.

She returned her attention to her brother, to heal him. She would worry what hope ...their new boss would say it do to her later. Right now all she wanted was to see him healed...

Matthew didn't waste any time getting off the bike and checking on his sister. She didn't blame him, had it been Marcus she wouldn't have even bothered to squeeze his shoulder. She would have been gone, by his side and probably checking him over already. Of course Matthew wasn't exactly at his best so he wasn't going anywhere where Hope couldn't keep up. She didn't delay him, allowing him to make his way ahead as she locked up her bike, he had his priorities and Hope had hers.

Walking back into the house, she went into the kitchen first to grab medical supplies and a towel. The medical supplies were for Matthew and Enya, the towel was for her to try and wipe up some of the mess she had made. Walking up the stairs, she found Matthew and Enya in his room, a room she had been in only a few hours earlier. She tried to hide the smirk that was just beneath the surface. He hadn't had time to clean up the destruction of their time together and it made her feel rather naughty. Enya had no idea what had gone on and Hope found it rather exciting, inappropriate as it was in the moment.

She had missed Matthew's and Enya's initial reunion as she watched Enya offering her wrist to her brother. Hope didn't think it would do him with much good until she saw the puddle of silver shimmering on the floor beneath her. She was clearly surprised but seeing as Matthew had survived a UV round she shouldn't have. Still, the sight of it alone made her uncomfortable. She wasn't an ancient vampire, far from it and that much silver could easily kill her three times over.

Moving over to the bed, she placed the bag down and sat making herself comfortable before remembering she was supposed to have never been in here before. Straightening up, she grabbed the towel and began cleaning some of the blood and other bodily fluid off of her, the white towel turning pink before slowly reddening. " When you two are done patching each other up, we are going to have to figure out a way to get that silver out of this house. " she commented making it clear that the reason she was staying on the far side of the bed was because of the silver, not because she didn't want to help.

Enya responded as soon as their skin met, her heat burning his palm yet he did not seem to mind, he was used to such things, a minor burn was hardly going to register between either of them, long ago such concerns has passed.
Waking up quickly she rose and grabbed him, hugging him with a lot more force then he was prepared for. Gritting his teeth he remained soundless his arms going around his sister to rub her back gently.
She was not the only one relieved. He was glad the combination of Tranqs and silver had not been to overwhelming for her.
He had made sure to keep most of the bullets away from her, having used himself as the shield but he now knew it was worth it. She was fine and that was what mattered to Matthew, always had been his number one priority. And even when pissed at her that priority would never change.

Now being pushed away his sister was eyeing him over. She was concerned and he smiled a small smile towards her. He couldn't even imagine how much she would have flipped out the last time when the UV silver nitrate had come very close to killing him.

These injuries were not of that magnitude. They hurt yes and they were draining him but the majority of that was due to him already being in a much weakened state. A state so far Enya has not noticed, thought she probably would, as unlike his sister his body had thus far been unable to purge the bullets from his system the silver webbing veins of black faintly beneath his flesh.

Hope came in and he offered her a nod, Enya was OK. They could relax that was what mattered to him.
Looking back his sibling had her wrist up turned to him, he chuckled under his breath and pushed her hand away from him, not meaning to insult her in anyway, there simply was no point while the bullets resided beneath his flesh.
"Maybe later, Squirt"

Grabbing hold of the headboard beside him he pulled upon it drawing himself up to his feet. Limping towards the en-suite he drew his how hole ridden T-shirt up and over his head, dropping the sodden mess to the floor. The carpet would have to be ripped up later.
"Got anything I can pull these out with?" he questioned Hope who sat now behind him as he still walked across the room.
He didn't particularly want her getting burnt by the metal beneath his skin, he would try go it alone with the aide of his mirror.

"Don't worry about that" Hope was concerned about getting the silver out. Once he was top notch again he could remove it easily. Enya also probably could if she heated up enough but the risk of another fire was to high for him to ever allow her to do that. "I will clean it up once i'm feeling a bit more bounce"

Enya was hoping that he would except, she knew it would help that he would heal. She had never allowed anyone her blood, with the exception of Ajax when he first turned them. After that day her flesh had never been pierced or shared.

Still dealing with the raw emotions of seeing and feeling Matt die, his rejection stung badly and she averted her eyes to the floor. As he removed his shirt, she couldn't help but look. Seeing him torn with many bullet holes she hissed. Of course he couldn't heal with them in his body. With the thought she felt a bit better, but not at the same time.

Seeing the he needed them out she stood, keeping the wobbliness from showing. She kept having to herself that what she saw, felt and smelt was not real. It didn't happen. He was standing in the flesh right before her eyes.

Needing and wanting to be helpful, she looked from Hope to the pool of Silver on the floor then to her brother. She took a few steps forward intending to help, with what she didn't know. She could hear Hope rummaging about to find things she would need. With her behind him, her hands tentatively reached out with a rag she had picked up from all of the supplies to clean up some of the blood, but as her hands neared him, she had yet another flash back of that "memory".

Her eyes flashed with the pain, and she dropped the rag on top of the others. She couldn't touch or be near him yet, all she could see was him surrounded by fire. Her killing him.

Hearing them talk about the Silver on the floor, she masked her face and smiled as she looked at it. "Oh! I can take of that. Hope...uhm Ms. Boss Lady, I know my brother is in great hands with you administering to him. I will clean up this Silver from your presences and will be back to provide blood for healing and of course to see to your injuries as well." She gave a gracious bow at the waist to show formality to the lady who know ruled over them all.

Straightening, and trying to be herself she smiled big as her words had a double meaning. She knew. She turned towards the silver on the floor and getting as far from her brother and Hope as she could, she directed heat at the puddle, for it to pull from the floor, leaving the floor polished and new looking.

Wrapping the poison in a bubble of heat, a force field of sorts, she leaped onto the window sill and saluted them, "I'll be back in a jiff". She kept her face polite even as she saw how they both had turned and looked at her. She knew she had messed up and would have to work hard to earn their trust. Stepping off the ledge, she touched ground and looked at the ball of Silver not believing that this was in system. At arms length she looked around wondering best what to do... living in the woods was not ideal for this..Being dramatic she puffed out cheeks and sighed.

"All right then, you evil gooey mess, time to die." With a curt nod, she strode to the center of the court yard, it was the farthest from anything that could catch fire and she was not near the house.

With another though she put an even bigger force field around the smaller one to catch the aftermath and aftershock, focusing all of her attention on the Silver. The heat coming off of this would instantly melt anything that came near, it was almost as hot as two planets colliding together and exploding, but instead of a planet.. it would be the Silver. She watched is bubble fiercely until it exploded! The outside force field trembled and bowed, she was panting already her outstretched arms quivering, the force pushed her back, but it held and as it it exploded she smirked as it disintegrated into nothing.

Scenting the air she made sure it left not a trace, and smiled to herself. With a dusting of her hands, the out ring flexed and then as if a balloon had been popped, a gust of hot air swept past her rustling her hair and clothes.

After dusting her hands she then smoothed her clothes back into place then wrinkled her nose at the smell of them. She would check to see if she could help Hope and Matt but then a shower was of the highest order. She desperately needed one, she looked a fright having balled her eyes out, her clothes covered in blood and..*sniff* well she didn't know what, but this outfit was ruined...

Hope began unpacking the medical bag and laid some things on the bed. Matthew was looking more like a block of swiss cheese then a person at this rate. Still what wasn't full of holes looked pretty good from where she was sitting. Matthew asked for something to pull the bullets out and Hope didn't think a pair of tweezers was going to do the job. " Let me have a look. " she said as she continued to rummage.

As she searched Enya piped up for the first time and honestly, Hope wasn't entirely sure what to make of her. She was definitely different to Matthew. But then maybe she was just being formal because Enya saw her as the boss rather then a family member. She looked and her and gave her a smirk in an attempt to be friendly. They were after all answering to her. " Hope is fine. " she said wanting Enya to relax a little around her. Hope was anything but formal and it just made her uneasy. It might have been Ajax's style but it wasn't hers.

As Enya took care of the silver, much to Hope's relief, she found a pliers in the bottom of the bag. " This should do. " she said as she pushed herself off the bed and walked into the ensuite to hand them to Matthew. " Here try these. " she smirked as she sat herself on the edge of the bath. " You looked better earlier. " she smirked as she ran the tap beside her and used the water to wash off some of the blood. " Pity you're sister is coming back, I could have given you some tlc. " she replied cheekily keeping a close ear out for his sister not wanting her to walk in on their conversation.

Looking over his shoulder as Hope rummaged around he saw Enya curtsy to Hope, the language she used was strained and odd but then again Enya was pretty odd. The curtsy though it killed him off. Had she not been so mortified he probably would have keeled over laughing but that would just have made his sister feel even more uncomfortable with it all.
Biting his lip he looked away making it into the bathroom with a slight shake of his head as he went about sorting himself. Moving to the mirror he looked at himself with a frown. There were more holes then he thought. Some he could get to some he could not. He would have to ask Hope to pull some out despite not wanting her to.

She arrived beside him in time for him to hear Enya's 'exploison' outside. He didn't bat an eye lid she had it under control.
"thanks" he took the pliers flexing them between his fingers before setting off to work grinning towards Hope through the mirror as she made some naughty comments about TLC and the way he currently looked.
"Hey, Every hole is a goal" it was a gross term he had heard human's use but suddenly he really appreciated the humour in it.

"I will need you to get the ones in my back"

She looked up to the manor as loomed before her, having used up much of her energy, she felt drained and yet giddy. She could still feel the fire within her, as it would never die, but it was no longer raging inside her. It was more of a content fire place to stave off the chill of a winter's night.

Seeing the grounds and the manor in all of its glory, Enya could see the appeal of this place. She could picture how it looked in its glory days, back to simpler times. As it was, it was quiet and dark and not soul in sight.

Her thoughts drifted back to the fire she had caused, but more importantly, the soldiers. They arrived at the seen very quickly, where they closing in on them? Had they pinpointed the mansion? With the impending doom, why where sentries not on guard? If they Corporation attacked, would there be a warning?

She shook her head, her loose hair fanning over her shoulder, she was sure Hope was on top of things as well as the others. She had trust in Ajax and Ajax had his in Hope and her coven, she so would too then. She would have to trust that Hope and her people had everything under control.

Taking her time, for she could not see Matt in such a state, she did not rush as the went into the front door and up the stairs, down the corridor that led to his room.

She tapped lightly to let them know she was back before stepping into the room. She could see them in the bathroom together pulling slugs out of him and grimaced.

Not wanting to be in the way, she started to clean up the mess on the floor and would help if Hope needed it.

Hope rolled her eyes as Matthew made a cringe worthy comment about the holes that riddled his body. She chuckled having heard the phrase before but not like this. " Well I could get the equipment to fill them but I don't think you'd like it. " she joked as she thought of all manners of ways she could meet his so called goals. Washing some of the blood off her hands and arms, she wiped her arms down with the towel which still left blood behind. She was going to need something more a quick rinse to get this blood off her.

She stood up and walked behind Matthew to remove the bullets as he had asked. She looked over his shoulder to smile at him in the mirror. Sticking two of her fingers in the first hole, she grabbed the first bullet and pulled it out with her fingers. She could have used the pliers but it was easier and faster for her to just get use her hands. She barely flinched as she began pulling them one by one. You could smell her flesh burning and yet she didn't bat an eyelid. She had become all too familiar with the pain, she some how became the unofficial bullet remover in this house.

Hope ignored the pain and as she flirted with her eyes. That of course all ended the minute Enya walked in the door. She scurried around, tidying up and trying to be useful. Hope almost felt bad for her but it was hard to feel sympathy for her when she had almost got herself and her brother killed. Maybe she was being hard on her because Matt seemed to have it together and for a near ancient vampire, Enya seemed to a liability. But she was Ajax's fledgling and part of her family now. She was supposed to supportive and a leader, as hard as that came to her so she tried to be nice. " You ok Enya? " she asked glancing toward her and then back in the mirror toward Matthew. She thought she had a weird sibling.

Hope responded to him in a quick quip and he wrinkled his nose at her in the mirror with a small laugh "Well Hope! That's just crude" he chuckled his gaze returning back to a particularly stubborn bullet. They hurt like almighty hell but he seemed to be completely comfortable with it. He was happy the other two were fine and pain wasn't a new experience to him. He was used to masking it, he had to learn to very young so when his sister burnt him which she had done often he didn't react and cause her deeper guilt then she had already felt.

Having all those on his front out there was a dozen or so silver slugs in the sink. Hope was behind him he passed over the pliers and wrapped his fingers around the sink lowering his head to give her a better angle of his back.
She was brutal but she was fast and he took it silently whilst waiting for her to finish. Pain was temporary, it was one of his main mottos to live by.

He often glanced up to see Hope eyeing him up, a wiggle of his eye brow here and there trying to keep things light yet Hope seemed to become more tense and hyper aware of his little sister as she returned to the room busying herself inside.
