A brother's love. (Enya)

Post by Matthew M on Mon 04 Sep 2017, 10:46

Things at the new coven house were starting to settle down and everyone was starting to relax a little more now. The transition had gone about as well as it could have and people seemed to be settling in. Well most of them anyway.
It seemed to be business as usual. People were finding their grooves in this new family dynamic and they were getting on with it.
That was exactly what he had been doing. Matthew was not a home body he had never been one and that was pretty commonly known. He had enjoyed his previous job, trotting around the globe acquiring what ever Ajax had wanted. He had seen the world that way and he had never once felt trapped and caged. The new coven had seemed like one of those traps when he had first arrived so he had thrown himself into getting on with it and making connections which would allow him to spend time outside of the coven walls. It for the most part was working and Matthew was becoming more comfortable with the way things were.

But not everything was running smooth. There was a rather large spanner in the works and the spanner was an Enya shaped one.
Admittedly he had not spent a large amount of time with his little sister since the covens had merged, but in his defence he had not seen the need to. She was centuries old and had been living without incident for some time. He saw no need to baby his sister, he just went off and did his own thing, assuming she would be able to do the same within the new coven. But a scathing message from his sister said otherwise.
She was unhappy that they had not spent time together, she felt abandoned and alone in the new home and apparently that was his fault. He tried to understand her anger and even find some sympathy for it but he found he was lacking any guilt over it.
He had looked after her the best he could for the most part of their lives until he had taken the job travelling and he had left her in Lacrimosa. He knew she resented that but had never spoken about it. Now it seemed she had chosen her moment to inform him just how badly he had been failing her.

His reply had been short. He informed her she should meet him away from the coven. This argument or disagreement or what ever it was, was a personal one and nothing to do with the rest of the coven.
He had given her the location of a disused farm a few miles away from Death Manor and said to meet him there at 9pm.

9.10pm he walked into the farmstead his eyes scanning the place slowly before he located Enya sitting witnin a dusty old barn.
Walking across he ducked some spider webs before entering the building his expression one of a man ready for a lecture.
“Enya” he nodded to his little sister. He had missed her but he knew she wasn't feeling particularly sentimental.
“So you have something to say to me?” he asked quietly as he decided to take a seat upon one of the hay bales. “Lets hear it then squirt? What have I done this time?”

Re: A brother's love. (Enya)

Post by Enya M on Mon 04 Sep 2017, 13:07

The dinner. It was the last time she had seen her brother. Sure, she was used to him being away for quiet a long time. At first it didn't bother her. Well it did. It always did. Not for the fact that she didn't have faith in him Or his abilities. She knew he could handle everything Ajax and now Hope , asked of him. It was the constant fear that one day he wouldn't return.

She hated each mission he took. It seemed he jumped at every opportunity to be away from Ajax from their home, from her.

The circus had been her way to rebel at first, back in those earlier simple times. But over the centuries She had grown to love it and the freaks that called it home. She had made a life for herself, living, doing something she truely enjoyed. For a vampire it must seem truely odd to want to see smiles on children to hear their laughter. To know she had done that. For an old vampire, for she was, she and Matthew both, it was what kept her going. She could handle him leaving for times at a tine, for she too was doing something she enjoyed.

But now she had nothing, the oxen Corp had taken that as well. For her protection, Ajax had pulled or from the live she created and stuck her here amongst others if her kind. She hadn't been around others of her kind in centuries. She did t know how to mingle or fit in. This new family, with all of their problems yes, but they knew where they fit and what they could do. They had their on life and now Ajax and hope had thrown others into their lives their home. It seemed the only one that didn't fit was her.

She had though Ajax or matty would would make sure She was comfortable and he'll she didn't know..stable? She knew Ajax was going through a lot she couldn't really blame him...But she did too.

He had taken all away from her and thrust her into this New life without an instructions manual. What was she supposed to do now?

After the dinner everyone dispersed and that was the last she had seen of her brother and Ajax. Sure She tried to fit in, she had stumbled upon to males play fihjting. One was hopes brother the other...was a mixed breed? But she couldn't make herself intervene, it looked like they had things worked out them selves. Hopes sister, although a little shy, She though perhaps they could be friends. The child seemed nice enough. But She wad never out and about Marcus and hope having setup a barrier for her. And not knowing her place, She left that alone too. Then she thought perhaps hope would need someone to run supplies. Enya had experience with humans, surely she could go. But before she could knock or even bring up the idea She had assigned that to someone else as well.

She had spent days just walking y he compound But each member she came across seemed to be in the middle of something.

Staring at the four walls of her prison was making her stir crazy.

It was what drove her to send him the message. If he though his brat sister was going to have a trantrum, he"d come running. He always did. It was sad really, But it was a method that worked on him and one She would use time and time again to see him. It seemed to be the only way.

She got to the location early, check the perimeter and then resumed her pacing back and forth arguing in her head of What shed say and how. She was truly more hurt than angry but the two seemed to fuel one another.

Hearing the barn doors slide open, she looked up to see her adored bigger brother. Her eyed swept over him to make sure he was well. She stood and swiped her hands down her jeans removing the bits of straw.

His words almost, almost made her smile but then She remembered why she had called him.

She didn't know how she started the conversation, but the words tumbled from her lips As she told him how she was fitting in. They wanted to help too. How it hurt that he and Ajax just left her to fend for herself. Tears flowed heavily as She told him all this.
Her fingers clenched together as tear filled eyes looked to him.

"I understand the reason that Ajax hasn't been around...but I just thought ....even though you resent me, brother...that you would at least make sure I was coping...." she gave him a sad smile. Just as the flames kicked up. The dry hay in the barn igniting instantly. But she didn't see it. She consumed in her sadness.

" I rely on you so much and for that and for giving you this life you hate so much..I'm so sorry, but I wouldn't want life with out you brother...."

The small snark of anger was just that, an attempt to h d just how hurt she was, But in the end it all came spilling out She told him how She felt.

As he was expecting there was no awkward silence between the two of them, there was no warm up to the main conversation and even his attempt at dry humour didn't lessen the blows she was to deliver upon him as she threw herself head first into the route of her problem with him.
He folded his hands upon his lap and he watched her, he listened and he didn't once speak to interrupt her or to defend himself.
She was upset and he didn't like it, he never had yet it was always inevitable where he was involved.
He had spent the majority of his life as the one in the shadows. Their parents had been focused on their hatred of what she was and they had forgotten about him, only noticing him when he stood before his sister, only a small boy with his arms outstretched trying to protect them from harming their 'Cursed' child.
When they were free, he devoted his life to her, to raising her and to protecting her. The burns he had suffered in human life and in death afterwards had been many and numerous yet he had never fled from her. She was his to protect and he had done a damn good job.

Until Ajax. The vampire had wanted her for her gift and he had taken her, no matter how hard Matthew had tried to fight and pry her away from him Ajax won. He didn't matter. He was ordinary and unwanted, only turned because Enya could not will herself to live without him. And then for a long time as Ajax tried to help Enya develop he was forgotten. A shadow child until something snapped and he began to change, to rebel and to stretch out. Those years had been hard on him. They had been hard on them both and eventually he was given his role by Ajax to travel the globe and he had welcomed it. He needed to become an individual, not just his sisters shadow protector.

He knew it had hurt Enya and he felt bad as tears slid down her face. He sighed standing and turning his back so not so see her pain as she spoke. A cigarette rose to his lips as he lit it. He may have been good at hiding his own emotions but she was not the only one to suffer and to feel pain. He felt that sometimes she forgot that, sometimes they all did. Matthew was but a tool, a pawn for getting things done. He had always felt that way and he and Ajax had come to blows over it many times in the past, even so Matthew remained loyal in his love for his Matashina family and would until the end of his days.

Her final words cut him as a blade would and he flinched “I do not resent you. I resent this” he swept his hand before himself as his shoulders sagged. The stench of her flames filling the barn yet he did not notice his mind in turmoil at her words and the cigarette smoke masking the smell, his back still to his little beloved sister.
“The fact that you rely on me is the reason I stay away Enya” he sighed exasperated. He may have seen uncaring but it was not true. “You need to be able to survive without me. You need to be strong and able to adapt yourself. What if Ox corp kill me, Enya. What then?” he sighed. They had lost many, he was not indestructible despite his sisters desire for him to be. “I need to know you would cope”

Smoke... smoke moved across the floor as he glanced down to his legs, it was rising. And suddenly he became more alert. The crackling would of flames behind him sounded in his ears. “Not Again...”
He had been an idiot not to draw her out from the barn, where everything was so flammable. He should have known better but it had been so long since she had slipped with her abilities he did not consider the risks.

Spinning round he saw the hay bale behind her aflame, it was spreading fast already up in the rafters, Enya oblivious to it as it was her creation. The heat swept the room as he started to step towards her.
“Enya look, Call it back!” he yelled knowing it was too late, the frame of the barn setting alight, within seconds the whole thing was up, the wooden beams above their heads splintering and stating to fall away.
Running forward he slammed himself into Enya, throwing them back into the hay bale. The flames would not burn her yet they would him. But he had no choice as a rafter fell behind him where she had stood moments before.

Moving to the covenant she thought things would be different especially since a women was running things. Purhaps shed be giving a task just like her brother or the others. The order never came though. Not a single request. It seemed the occupants of the house only showed up to mingle because it was mandatory. The Death s home wasn't yet her home. Nothing belonged to her except what shed brought with her, which wasn't much. She was used to being active. Getting up doing chores and then preparing for her performance. Here.....everyone seemed to have their place but not her.

As her brother tackled her into the hay bails the breath left her lungs and she blinked in confusion. Slowly awareness warranted drawing a harsh gasps from her throat. Dread consumed her. No..no..no...she hadn't lost control in ages...hearing a moan she looked down to see Matty over her like a shield. The fire quickly consuming everything in its path. Matty...she was always hurting him..emotionally and physically...seeing his sleeve catch fire drew her into action. She gently escorted out from under him seeing the support beam laying across his leg.

Sorrow made tears form seeing him like this...this was her fault. Hands clenched she breathed in centering herself. Thrusting out her hands. She swept them outward recalling the flames that was on and surrounding her brother. She couldn't do anything for the burn except take the heat from it, but he would still need care. The flames still licked up the sides of the barn engulfing the while place in an inferno. Matty and herself the fire avoided. Kneeling down beside her brother she looked at his unconscious form before grabbing hold of the beam. Panting softly she used her anger to help lift and toss the thing off of him.

With a small smile she knelt once more to try and and lift him but he was much larger and heavier than she and her strength was waning as she held off the fire. It was to large to call it back, she could only keep it from reaching her brother...

It was on the sixth try that she tried to lift him, that she felt the small bite of the tranquilizer dart sink into the back of her neck.

Arms around her brothers torso, She dropped to a knee. Shoulders hunched over, sweat beading her face. With one hand she reached and plucked the thing from her neck looking at it in confusion for a moment just before She felt fear. Oxen.

She felt another sting hit her neck, laying Matty down, she rose wobbly to her feet.

She would not allow Matty to be taken...

The fire was like a sweet caress. A lovers touch. It responded to her emotions. Her need to protect her brother. Her fear of what oxen could do if they got their hands on him.

With Matty in danger her strength increased. The fire inside the barn swirled like a tornado as it came to her. She turned in the direction on the two soldiers who entered the inferno, guns trained on her ...but as she saw the or her aimed at her brother....the sound that came from her mouth startled one if the soldiers. The fire raced towards the two men and with a slash of her hand it plowed into them throwing them against the side of the barn. Controlling the fire she did it again as she swept them to the other side into the engulfed hay bales. More soldiers enter guns trained as she stood in front of her brother, blocking him from their view.

She lost count as to how many entered and how many she swept away with the fire whip. They were surrounded by fire She and Matty. Still keeping it from him...

Her vision blurred...did the soldiers double??

Her body felt like lead..the only resolve was to save Matty......

She sank to the ground beside him...one of her hands still outstretched...she couldn't fight them...keeping a wall of fire between them and oxen...

Never would such an injury have knocked Matthew down for long and it certainly would never have been able to make him lose consciousness but he still suffered silently from the effects of the silver nitrate UV round he had been shot with over a week before. He was improving but it was a slow process, yet he had not complained about it as by all rights it should have killed him straight off anyway. He had been very lucky to have pulled through the wound so well. Had Karne not found him he would have been long gone and only a memory to his little sister.

"Oh God..." he groaned as life returned to him once again, his consciousness returning to him quickly. Aware of painful burn wounds he winced his hands stretching out upon the barn floor beneath him so he could begin to lift himself again.
Hands and knees... effort yet he did it. "What the fuck Enya" he groaned dizzy and disorientated as he rose his gaze to steadily focus. Smoke and flame thick in the air.

It had taken him a moment to see his sister and realise that something was very wrong. A lot more wrong then a simple barn fire. And just like that he woke up, brain firing on all cylinders as he became aware of his sibling being in danger.

Upon his feet quickly, he stumbled once with a wince, the burn upon the backs of his legs full thickness and painful yet he didn't fall his eyes scanning through the black smoke to see the familiar outlines of soldiers.
What the hell were they doing this far out?

"Enya?" he looked down to her his eyes stinging badly from the fire yet he was able to see the darts on the floor. "Shit" grabbing her arm he yanked her up quickly making no effort to ensure her comfort he threw her across his shoulder, pain shooting up his legs as he turned searching for a way out of the rapidly disintergrating barn.
They had to get out before she passed out, or else he wouldn't be able to walk through the flames. He would burn to death and the soldiers would take her.
How the hell did it come to this..

"Don't pass out or we're fucked, Kid"he growled starting his escape towards what would have been the side entrance into the barn. "Hold them off"

H O P E . D E A T H - R E I G N
Vampire || Wraith

Hope had a little more spring in her step as she stepped out of the shower. Her shoulders visibly more relaxed and the sparkle in her eye had returned. It seemed she had found the answer to finally releasing the tension she felt and it came in the form of Matthew. Their romp earlier had proven to be the best kind of medicine and despite the burden on her shoulders, the small reprieve from being leader had had a very powerful and positive effect. True, their romp was just that, a physical action that was enjoyed by both parties involved but the no strings attached relationship was just what she needed. She had done the whole committed relationship thing and all it had gotten her was a broken heart. No, she wasn't ready to offer her heart up on platter again, not when apart of it still belonged to Ryu. But for now, Matthew was hitting all the right spots and that's all she wanted and needed.

Drying off, her mind went to Ajax as she knew the he had sired Matthew. She wondered how he would feel about them being in bed with one another. She debated telling him but as she thought about his mental state, she decided it was best to keep it between them. Besides it only added to the excitement of the whole thing. A secret lover. It made her smirk as the thought pleased that bad girl inside her. She had been coloring inside the lines for a little too long and Matthew was proving to be just the thing to make her feel somewhat herself again. She had never denied being selfish and having this all to herself appeased a thirst in her that blood would never satisfy. It pleased her to think that the rebel in her was still alive, no matter how small she may be.

Pulling the off the shoulder sweater over her head, she ran the towel through the ends of her hair. She looked out her window across the grounds and the woods past it. She wondered how much longer she would have this view. She knew Ajax was working on finding them a safe place, a sanctuary where they would be safe. Hope doubted that such a place existed but she knew that one way or another they couldn't stay here. She never thought of herself as a sentimental creature but she respected the history in these walls and the thoughts of being the one who would go down in the history books as the leader who took the Deaths from Death manor sat uneasily with her. Deep down all she wanted was security, She longed for the day when her biggest concern was not getting caught sneaking out of the house. Unfortunately she knew those days had long since passed and her life was now going to be one of nothing but concern, not for herself, but for those she was now responsible for.

A subtle glow caught her eye as she stared out into the distance. Her brows furrowed as she moved closer toward the pane. The glow grew, an amber color flickering among the shadows of the trees and then moments later plums of smoke followed. Fire, there was a fire in the woods. It was concerning but Hope wasn't initially alarmed. There was nothing over that direction only an old abandoned farm. A farm Matthew said earlier he would be meeting his sister at. Then, lights further off in the distance, 4x4's swarming the area. Hope would have known those vehicles anywhere. " Shit... " she muttered as she realized the fire had attracted some unwanted attention. She quickly pulled out her phone and rang Matthew hoping he would pick up and tell her he was already on his way home. " Fuck sake Matt pick up... " she muttered but all she got was his voicemail.

" Shit " she said as she shoved the phone back into her pocket. Things after that moved quickly for Hope. She grabbed a jacket and her favorite weapon when dealing with Oxen Corp. A newly modified whip that was inspired, in part by Ajax. She had taken the whip, broke it down and rebuilt it. The core of the whip no longer fabric but titanium and were there was once a smooth service now there were barbs, much like the thorns on the vines of Ajax's arm. They were razor sharp and with Hope's strength could easily rip a man in half and that is exactly what she intended to do. The leather had been replaced purely for aesthetic purposes. Grabbing the handle she made her way toward the door, alone. Apart of her knew she should have brought someone with her or even sent someone in her stead. But she was done staying behind closed doors and letting everyone else have all the fun. She hadn't shed any blood in weeks and she wasn't going to let this opportunity pass her by.

On her bike, she weaved in and out the woods at speed with great ease. She knew these woods like the back of her hand and she knew she had the advantage out here. The only thing she was really concerned about was Ox Corp discovering Death Manor. She knew it was invisible, at least to the mortal eye but that last thing she wanted was for some soldier to follow them home and notice them disappearing into thin air. It would have been a dead giveaway and above all the safety of the manor was paramount. The closer she got to the farm, the louder and brighter the fire became. She sighed inwardly. Why was it always fire? Reeving the engine, her speed increased and she emerged from the woods airborne. The soldiers closest to the treeline would have only seen a glimpse of her pale skin and dark hair before the vine whip wrapped around them and tore them apart, spraying blood everywhere. The scent in the air made Hope's adrenaline rush and her fangs protruded on top her hot pink lips.

Landing skillfully, Hope moved toward the barn, slashing and tearing at anyone who got in her way. She knew in a few moments bullets would be flying so she wanted to use the element of surprise to its best advantage. " Matt? " Hope called out looking for any sign of him among-est the soldiers but she couldn't see him. It seemed that he was still inside the barn that was by now almost entirely engulfed by flames. A pop came from behind her and she moved, the bullet stinging as it grazed her jumper and exposed a piece of skin to the silver. Stopping, she inspected the damage, placing her finger in the hole. " This was my mother's. " she muttered, rage in her eyes as the whip, like an extension of her arm wrapped the soldiers waist and in a few agonizing seconds, tore through his body. The two halves of his body falling to the ground much to the horror of his colleagues who then began to return fire.

Moving, she headed toward the side of the building where she thought she heard some movement coming from inside. It was faint and hard to make out from the rest of the noise going on around her but she was almost certain Matt was still inside. Mentally preparing herself, she picked up as much speed as she could muster, what must have looked like a blur to the humans, but she knew it was the only way she would make it through the flames relatively unscathed. It went against every fiber of her vampuric being to run into those flames but she knew she had too. Ajax was barely clinging to what little sanity he had and she didn't think he would survive the loss of a fledgling on top of everything else. She knew Ajax was a ticking time bomb but she was trying to buy him and the covenant as much time as possible before he eventually blew and if keeping Matt alive was going to do that then so be it.

Shutting her eyes, she braced herself as the heat prickled her skin and she ran into the flames, hoping to find an area that wasn't engulfed in flames where Matt may have been inside. As she passed through the flames, the heat licked at her skin, an all to familiar feeling. She had only just begun to heal from the burns Ryu had given her and now once again she was trying to heal from burns only this time her whole body was involved rather then one localized area. She prepared herself to find the charred corpse of Matthew inside but instead she found him in relatively good condition, his sister over his shoulder. Staring for a moment, he was clearly heading toward the door she had just entered from. " Matt wait! " she said knowing there was nothing waiting out there for him but bullets. She had to come up with something else.

Looking around, the heat was overwhelming and there didn't seem like another way out.  Looking back at Matt she tried to give him a smile. " Nice little mess you got yourself into this time Matty. " she said as she could see he was struggling physically. He was still healing from the UV round and now he was riddled with bullets again. With no other way out Hope knew they were going to have to go out there and she had to let Matt know what was happening. " Right, there's about a half dozen soldiers out there, all silver rounds from what I can tell but there's more reinforcements on the way so we need to get out of here now if we have a shot. " Hope was like a military commander as she spoke, cool, calm, collected. She was proving herself to be every bit the child solider of war she had been reared to be.

" I'll take Enya, you look like you can barely hold yourself up never-mind her, I'll cover you. " She had formulated a plan in her head and she wasn't leaving Matthew room to negotiate. She was still the head of this coven and no matter how good he was in the bedroom, she wasn't about to let him forget it. " My bike is out there, to the right. The keys are the ignition. Grab the bike and come back for Enya. I'll be right behind you. " Hope had no intention of getting on that bike with him. She had to make sure the soldiers didn't follow him to the Death Manor, they were already too close for comfort. " I'm going to keep them busy, make sure they don't get to close to Death Manor. You get your ass to the house with Enya. No arguments. "

That was the end of discussion in Hope's eyes. She wasn't trying to be a martyr. No, she fully intended on coming out of this alive and taking out every solider who was in her way. Matthew and Enya in their current state was only going to slow her down and once they were safe she wouldn't have to worry about Ajax anymore. She could enjoy the kill. Standing in front of Matthew, she reached to take his sisters limp body. She placed Enya over her shoulder in a similar fashion that Matthew had. Her whip in hand, she moved back toward the doors and an ever growing wall of flames. " You good? " she asked making sure he was on board with this whole thing before facing the flames again. Hope wasn't the kind of leader who just sat in the house and let everyone else do the fighting. She wanted to be in the trenches, she liked getting her hands dirty and Hope was long overdue a good old fashioned bloodbath. Running, she made it through the flames once more, Enya hanging off her shoulder, her whip flying forward ready to rip into anyone in her path.

The silver spread through her body cramping her muscles and setting her world on fire. A fire in which she didn't nor could handle. The pain was like nothing shed ever felt as it burned and searched it's way through her system. Her outstretched hand wavered as she felt control, but the pain was to much. The showing threw her skin. Gasping, she fought for control if she let the actual fire run it's course, Matty could get hurt

Feel a strong hand grip hers And heft her up, her vision blurred and a pain shot through her head as picked her up.

She raised her other hand to push against him, "get out...I can..finish them..." but she wouldn't let go of the inferno not with her brother in the middle if it.

A spasm raked through her body and her fingers curled and teeth clenched. Her temperature dropped and she became clammy although She was burning inside. "Get ...out...let me..de..destroy them..." She said between spasm of pain. Leaving her weary, she let Matt support her. Yes, shed just ....she turned her heard at the sound of a voice....Hope....what was...she doing here. Thoughts of Hope getting hurt made her struggle even more, this was be mess...shed clean it up, but her body quit listening to her commands and soon the pain engulfed her. Not even the lure of the fire could bring her out of it. It was just constant pain on and endless loop....

She didn't feel the exchange as Matt passed her to Hope.
She went under, losing her control of the fire.....

This was all a bloody nightmare... It was always a nightmare. No matter what he did he would always make waves with someone. Usually someone blood related to him. Gritting his teeth he bit back a yell as bullet after bullet found themselves home within his flesh the soldiers who had arrived outside seeming to be firing at will. Each one threatened to floor him yet it did not. He had his sister and he would protect her no matter what. If death came for him later so be it, but he would be damned if he let Enya fall.
“Shut up... you couldn't find your way out of a packet of crisps kid..” he muttered as his sister tried to play a hard game stating she would finish them all. Of course she probably could have had she not been pumped with tranqs and Silver. She was the powerful one of the two of them, yes he may have been physically her better but he could do nothing compared to his kid sister. He only wished he could, that way he could have got her out of this mess.

Flames spread quicker then he could move, his legs bleeding heavily with each step, parts of the barn had begun to fall down and soon he knew the whole lot would be on top of them. He focused on making it out, even if that meant walking through the flames then that was what he planned to do.
Then through the very flames he was aiming for a figure jumped through, the voice now very well known to him. Her figure blurry before burning eyes he grinned the best he could. He wished she wasn't there endangering herself but he sure could have used the help and was glad she had come.
“Hey... you thought I was hot before, what about now huh?” he steadied himself moving closer to her as she started to give him directions.
Despite his urge to go against what she said Matthew was a good soldier, Hope out ranked him and he would do as he was told. Like it or not.

Lifting Enya from his shoulders he steadied her in Hope's grip before taking a step backwards looking at the two of them he acknowledged for that split second that he may never lay eyes upon either of them again and with that he turned away, hurling himself at speed through the flames, the heat meeting his flesh as he came out the other side, paying no mind to any soldiers that were waiting for him.
He was running on fumes, what were a few more bullets after all?

Running to the right he found the bike and wasted no time starting it off and bringing it around to the building so he could collect Enya from Hope. Pulling his sister across him as secure as he could he nodded to Hope “Thanks. I'll drop her off and I will come back”
With that he sped away from the scene leaving the carnage behind him as he ensured no one followed before eventually finding his way back to Death Manor

Had they not all been in mortal danger Hope might have responded to Matthew's flirtatious quip. She did find him hot and he had proven to be exactly what she needed. She wasn't sure if it was the sex or the blood but Hope hadn't felt this good, well ever. His blood seemed to have the same effect as steroids would on a human. It's probably why she so recklessly turned up without any help and felt like she could take on a whole army by herself. She felt invincible and she was loving it. If this was what it felt like to get old then Hope couldn't wait to feel like this every day.

With Enya safely on her shoulder, she nodded to Matthew as he looked back at them. She hadn't ignored the fact that for most this was basically a suicide mission. Matthew was already weaker because of previous injuries and Hope probably shouldn't have come out here on her own without letting anyone know. But somehow, this rush, the adrenaline pumping through her system made it all worth it. Somehow Hope didn't really feel alive until her life was in danger. It was warped but it was just who she was. House life hadn't been sitting well with Hope and as crazy as is sounded, this is exactly what she had needed.

Matthew ran out and Hope followed quickly after him. Her whip aiming for the weapons that were aimed at Matthew. Ripping them from the hands of the soldiers. It didn't stop them for long but it gave Matthew a clear path to get to the bike. Hope held onto Enya as best she could but the truth was she couldn't wait to get her off her back then she could really show these Ox Corp assholes what she was made of. As Matthew pulled up she handed his sister over to him. He nodded she presumed in gratitude seeing as she just saved both their asses and said he would back. She didn't mind whether he was or not. She fully intended on dosing this damn fire with their blood and leaving nothing but bones and teeth for their families to identify them by.

As Matthew sped off, a bullet hit her arm. The silver burned but the pain was more bearable then usual. It still hurt but it wasn't as crippling as she had previously experienced. " Motherfucker.. " she muttered as her whip once again became an extension of her hand. It moved from her side to around the soldiers neck. The barbs digging into his flesh as he tried to release it but it was too late. Moments later his head was rolling around the feet of his colleagues. They didn't know it yet but they would soon be joining him. Digging the bullet out, it dropped to the floor and she smirked. She was alone, she had never faced Ox Corp alone before but she was more then ready.

Years of pent up aggression and stress was about to be unleashed upon these human men. She didn't really care about who they were or who was at home waiting for them. They were wearing the uniform that had brought nothing but pain into her life. Anytime she had faced them before she had those she loved with her and she would never purposely endanger those she loved. But now it was just her and she was free to destroy these men however she saw fit without judgement or worry that those she loved would be in danger. It was like Christmas had come early. Every human was like a gift and she intended on ripping them all open.

The bike ride seemed to take forever as he held his sister carefully against him giving her the occasional glance to make sure she was OK. They were both stained in blood and as sure as he was that most of it was probably his he still worried about how many times she could have been hit. It was slight consolation that she had fallen under the weight of sedation pretty quickly so he had been able to protect her from most of the volleying bullets even if he had to feel their sting himself.

Adrenaline coursed through him, the time limit aiding it which for now was a helpful thing for him. Weaker then he should have been the bullets were enough to put him down for the foreseeable future yet he kept moving. The thought of getting his sister safe and the thought of returning to make sure Hope had not got herself killed spurring him on way past any physical limitations.

Death Manor came into sight. It had taken longer to get back then it should have but he had taken a scenic route to ensure that no one had followed them. Only once he was sure everyone was safe did he actually dare head towards the building itself.

Skidding to a stop, he near lost control of the bike but managed to steady himself before hitting the ground, pulling his sister to him he climbed off and darted into the house, not caring to check if any of the others were around. Into his bedroom he lay his sister. Giving her one quick look over to make sure she was ok he sighed and turned away running back outside to the bike.
He had no idea how long the sedation would last but he hoped that he would be back in time so she did not have to panic upon waking up.

Starting the bike up once more he shot off down the dirt tracks at speed hoping that he could get to Hope before anything Dire were to happen to her.
